You're Special To Me

Hi bloggers!  Today's card is a simple one from the latest release.  I started with the Basketweave Background and cut it in white.  I backed it with Powder Pink card.  I cut it into three strips and added foam to raise them and added them on to another piece of coconut white card.  Next I cut a large circle frame out of Old Rose card using the Double Stitched Circle dies.  I added it with foam to my background.  I cut the Melissa die in white for the top layer, I used powder pink for the middle layer and Old Rose for the bottom layer.  I seated it inside the circle frame with foam,  I cut one more smaller circle frame out of white card.  I stamped my sentiment, then added the frame over it and trimmed away the excess card, then mounted it in the middle of the card.  I used two small flowers made from Old Rose card which I cut from the Petite Forget Me Nots set.  White, Powder Pink and Old Rose mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are
 6 3/4" x  6 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  54. Hi Sue. What a beautiful card today !!! Your new Basket weave background die is lovely in real life. I think this is a great die that is suitable for absolutely any ocassion !!! Your Mellisa die looks fab to. I love these beautiful triple layer dies. The colour combo is lovely. I am really not a lover of pink but these shades of pink card are nice and subtle. They seem more like pastel shades rather than bold shades, which I much prefer. Thanks for sharing your beautiful card today. Lots of love to you Sue from Tres X X X
