Thinking Of You

Hi crafters!  After a nice dig through my pile of Pixie Powder backgrounds, I decided on this one to be the focal point for this card.  I used Rich Gold, Midnight Blue and Spearmint Pixie Powders on a piece of coconut white card, spritzed and allowed them to dry thoroughly.  I cut the Celtic Circle Background in both white and black, shadowed it then glued the pixie powder background behind it.  I used the Double Stitched Squares to make a wide frame and added it with foam over the background.  Using some leftover piece from the pixied piece, I cut several of the Layered Carnations and formed three flowers.  I seated them in opposite corners and added a satin bow and leaves to embellish them.  I cut the Lottie die in both white and black and shadowed it.  I cut a white backing for it, then added the die cut to the centre of the frame.  The Thinking Of You sentiment was cut in black and glued in the centre of the die cut.  White and black mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4"  x  7 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  17. Hello Sue,

What a gorgeous background paper for your card. The pixie powders look like the colors of the Caribbean water, beautiful aqua and blue. It goes really well with the Celtic background. Pixie powders have to be one of the best creations.

    Have a wonderful day.

  34. Hi Sue,
Such a pretty card, the colours are fabulous, and I've got the Lottie thought I could do without the background die by using another one, but this goes so well with the Lottie, I've got to "acquire" it. Beautiful card, and I know just the one to make it for (one of my cousins in Germany).
