For You

Hello crafters!  It's a bit springlike for this time of year, but oh well!  I cut the Summer Rose Frame twice out of green card and twice out of pink card.  I nipped the frame apart and took the two larger for opposite corners and used the smaller side for the other corners.  I cut out the pink flowers and glued them on top of the matching flowers which were part of the green card.    Next I cut two of the Sophia die in white and offset them and added them to the centre of the frame.  I used the Double Stitched Octagons to cut a thin pink frame.  I used the inside die from the Sophia die cut in white as a base for the frame.  I cut the sentiment in pink and glued it to the centre.  The card was completed with white on white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  13. Morning Sue. Sitting with my 3 year old grand-daughter Lottie introducing her for the first time to the one and only Sue Wilson. She certainly has wonderful taste as her reaction "it's very pretty and I like pink" lol looks like you have another follower Sue 😊 out of the mouth of babes comes truth and she's so right it IS pretty. She had a farm thing that needs making up, so mummies get out whilst at work today is - Nanny makes things maybe she will do it with you later ! I'm not proficient at card making so this could end up one big car crash lol. Another really pretty picture this morning Sue and thank you for sharing your delightful inspiration. If you want to try something different we have a farm waiting I'll email you the address lol. Have a beautiful day xxx

  35. Hi Sue

I love this card, I also have this die. and have tried it with many other coloured roses, and the result is beautiful.

As a tip, I made a special card for a 90th Birthday using the die, but sprayed the card lightly with Rose Perfume, let it dry, then made the die as usual....it was well admired.

Sue your card is beautiful as always.

    Love n hugs

  37. Hi Sue, this is a very pretty card and it is nice to think that Spring is just around the corner even though I know that we still have much more severe weather to come before then. The Summer Rose Frame die always looks lovely when you use it whether you use it complete or snip it as you have done here. Sophia looks great for any occasion.

  38. Oh, I can use a bit of something springlike. Even though winter just officially arrived here in the US on the 21st of December, this winter is already long to me with cold, wind, snow and ice and flooding. Lovely pink, green, and white design today. I am loving the center grouping of dies and how lacy this combination looks. The Summer Rose Frame dies makes a nice frame. Thanks for the inspiration.

  39. Hi Sue. I love that shade of pink and it sits so nicely with that green to make a really pretty card. As I have the Summer Rose Frame die I hope I should be able to recreate something very similar.
