Silent Night

Good Sunday morning all!  As time is beginning to run short, here is a rather quick card for you.  I selected a piece of our shimmery navy card (I know it looks black, but it isn't.  You can really see it in some of the close ups.) to use as the background.  I matted it with white card and added mounting foam.  Next I cut the Starburst die in white.  I cut the Swirled Silent Night out of the same shimmery blue card and glued it to the centre.  I used vellum to make three different sized poinsettias and seated them in opposite corners.  I added a thin white satin bow in the lower corner and used the sprig from the Poinsettia Cluster die set to add white accents to both poinsettia corners.  I added another wide shimmery blue card mat then finished with white and blue layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  7 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  6. Hi Sue,

A real stunner today. The Starburst Die really makes a statement all on its own but combine it with a navy background, the Silent Night sentiment, and a couple of delicate vellum poinsettia and it is quite spectacular.

    Have a great Sunday.

  47. A great "quickie" card that would not be as quick for me. I am behind and I have the dies so thank you for the inspiration. I like to make a lot of "special" Christmas cards for "special" people but then I make all my cards and do need some quick cards. This year, I have been making the 2017 angel my quick card. Cut in specialty paper she is a "WOW" card front and also a quick and easy one.
Phill is on today and I am going to miss the live shows but will catch on Rewind.
    Everyone, have a fun day!
