Christmas Double Day

Hi bloggers!  I have a gold card and a silver card for you today.  I started by e,bossing a piece of milk card with the Ice Crystals embossing folder.  Next I used the Double Stitched Ovals to cut a multi layered frame using milk card for the top and Antique gold for a thinner inside lip to the frame.  I used mounting foam to raise it and attached it in the centre of the card.  I cut the Christmas Bell twice out of gold card and backed them both with milk card.  I attached them in the centre of the frame and added a gold bow at the two of the pair of bells.  I cut two of the sentiment in gold and put them in opposite corners.  I used vellum and created three poinsettias of differing sizes.  I used Enchanted Gold gilding polish on the petals before assembling them.  I added the larger one in the lower corner with a silk bow and the two smaller flowers were adhered in the opposite corner.  Milk and Antique Gold card were used for mats and layers to complete the card.   The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  9" in size.  Scroll down for card number two.

For the second card, I used the Twinkle Star Background die and cut it into a piece of coconut white card.  I extended the pattern to make it rectangular.  I backed it with a piece of card covered with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I used Silver Chrome polished silk glitter to fill in the remaining exposed adhesive areas on the background.  Next I cut the Eve die and cut it out of silver mirror card.  I cut the inside die out of white card and backed it with silver mirror card then added it to the centre.  I used antique silver card to cut a thin frame for the centre and glued it in place.  I used the sentiment from the Snowball Frame cut out of antique silver and glued it to the centre.  I made three poinsettias out of white card that I covered in Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz and attached them in opposite corners.  I added some silver metallic cord and a white satin bow with the larger one as an accent.  White, Silver mirror card and Antique silver mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  9" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Yay its double Friday and I have to say the two cards are both stunning this morning . The first card is stunning and the bells look beautiful in gold and the poinsettias finish the card of .
The second card is also stunning , the twinkle frame looks so different on this card. The Eve die hides the centre on the twinkle frame . Once again finished beautifully with your poinsettias. Thank you for sharing Sue.

  14. Hi there Sue. Another festive Friday when I love both, both say "Made by Sue Wilson" don't take that comment in the way that what you show and make is predictable, nooo nooo nooo far from it, they are what I love, what attracted me to your work and blog, they are both beautiful and I'd be proud as punch if I made two cards like that. I've had to back down from buying more festive dies after getting an order, so all I can say is thank you for such a big choice of gorgeous 'not just for the festive season dies' and a thank you to Lisa for creating cute and funny dies for the season as this order is also for the cute and funny younger generation in the family, so it's going to be so lovely to work with a few new dies this year. Have a lovely day Sue and thank you for two beautiful pieces of inspiration xxx
