Miss You

Good Sunday morning all!  I started by cutting the Ivy Garden Background out of a piece of coconut white card.  I cut the background again out of green card and used the ivy corners from it and glued them back into the white card.  I sprayed glue over the background and glittered it with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz.  I cut the circular ivy die from the set in white and added it with foam.  I cut the very centre die in white and added a thin green edges using a distress marker.  I cut the Miss You in green and glued it to the centre of the die.  Using the Double Pierced Noble dies, I added a thin white frame around the background, adding it with mounting foam to raise it.  I completed the card with white and green mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  7 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

A beautiful card. I have this die, so great to see inspiration from you.
I’m up early this morning as I was volunteered to attend a regional committee meeting - on a Sunday? So it’s a quick breakfast and then wait for my lift from Wiltshire to Devon. Madness!
    Enjoy your Sunday.

It's such a pretty delicate die, that make pretty delicate projects in all shades with lots of different backgrounds to set them on. Delightful. How grateful and lucky am I that my table at market today is inside its cold enough to freeze your bone marrow here in Lancashire so I know I'll get my regular customer today but I need to times her by 10 so I can put what I sell towards my Lottie die ☺ so I'll love and leave you and thank you for your beautiful Sunday inspiration and hope you have a good day xxx

  31. Hi Sue
I really love the ivy background die. It is so pretty and intricate. I am lucky enough to own this die and it is a lovely one to add to your stash if you are debating.
This card is gorgeous (but when are your cards not gorgeous)? It really does show off the die perfectly. I don’t use a lot of green on my cards but this is just perfect with a lovely pop of a really lovely shade of green. The Glitterbitz add just the right amount of zing.
Well after bragging about blue skies and the beautiful view from my window yeaterday, today is the complete opposite. I have taken myself back to bed with a cuppa and radio 2 and left the curtains closed. I can hear the rain and there is definitely not a hint of blue sky. I have decided to set myself the goal of making a card today. I figured that if I aim for 1 I could exceed my expectations. Wish me luck x
Happy Sunday everyone - whatever the weather.

  54. Hi Sue, the Ivy Garden Background makes a beautiful card and I love this one with all the sparkle. The design could easily be adapted for Christmas for those who prefer a more elegant style of card. Yesterday's video was excellent and showed Natalie's Poinsettia embossing folder to great advantage. Your photographer really caught the shine from the gilding polish.

Steph - hope you managed to keep warm and the market did well for you.
PP - have you achieved your goal?
