Thanks

Hello there my crafty friends!  I had a great weekend at Ally Pally!  My voice is still a bit dodgy as I was full of cold, but I am (hopefully) on the mend now.  It was lovely to see so many blog followers!    Here's a quick card that uses one of the Stamps To Die For range. I started with a piece of coconut white card and embossed it with the Bountiful Blossoms 3D embossing folder for some lovely texture.  Next I cut three of the Ava die in white.  I cut all of them down and reassembled them so they were square in shape and mounted two of them in a diamond orientation in the centre of the card, slightly overlapping them.  The last one I centred on top in a square orientation.  Next I stamped the Phoebe's Daffodil Trio STDF that matches the Phoebe die set.  I cut it out and coloured it with Distress markers (mustard seed, spun sugar, worn lipstick and crushed olive).  I stamped my sentiment in black in the open area on the stamp and mounted it in the centre of the card for a pop of colour.  The card was completed with simple white on white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  8 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  5. Hi Sue. What a gorgeous delicate smile inducing start to the week, the folder used gives a really pretty background to the Ava die which looks like piece of lace and the STDF gives that pop of colour to enhance the whole sample, it's just beautiful Sue. I'm so glad that you got through the weekend a nasty cold can be so lowering, but to put a name to those comments you read every day must be the best medicine. I'm so pleased to read that those I share this inspirational blog with every day had such a great weekend albeit they have a diet of toast and jam for the next month due to all the irresistible goodies on show lol, today will be their day for play ☺
Anyway I hope you get a day to rest a little but I doubt that VERY much but whatever your up to hope it's as enjoyable as it can be xxx

This is stunning! As I said last week I always forget about the Stamps TDF that I own which is silly because they make such fabulous focal points on cards. (Note to self - resurrect all your SW STDF)!
You may be shocked to see me so early - I certainly am. Awake since 2. Will now embark on 2nd attempt to get to and stay asleep. Hope you managed a restful night to recharge your batteries Sue x

  11. Morning Sue, I do love those deep embossing folders which do not need much more to make a nice card. But, you always persuade us to go several steps further to make an amazing one.
Hope you're feeling better today. Hugs xx Pauline

Another beautifully stamped and coloured card, your colouring is also so neat and the colours lovely. The 3D embossing folder is a stand out as are the dies, I never think to cut and reassemble dies but they look so good.
Glad that Ally Pally went well and that you are starting to feel a bit better,

  27. Good Morning Sue. Ohhh I love this card Sue. It's so lacy and that's what I love. I bought the ava die a few months ago and its one of my best buys as I can cut it down as you have shown us here and make wonderful back drops that look so lacy and fragile. I love the sample this morning.I am so glad Ally Pally went well now may be you can have a little rest.....ooooohhh lovely. Sending best wishes to everyone. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds.

    Good morning Sue and all.
A gorgeous card again to start the day. I like everything about it and although I don't have all of the dies I'm sure I must have at least one that would work.
Hope you are feeling a little better every day and that you will take a rest (I doubt that)
Glad that Ally Pally went well'
    Hugs.

  54. Hi Sue, so sorry that you were feeling under the weather for Ally Pally but glad that you enjoyed yourself nonetheless. Colds always seem to come at the wrong time don't they and I hope you are taking a rest now.
I love this lacy look card and with a STDF as well, it is beautiful. Like the look of the embossing folder also.

Stephanie - good to hear that you and your sister escaped without damage from the hurricane, I can't imagine how scared you must have felt.
