Thanks So Much

Hi crafters!  Here's a pretty card that uses the Phoebe die to make a lovely focal element.  I started by cutting the Lattice Edging die twice out of milk card and gluing them to the sides of a larger piece of milk card.  For the focal point, I cut four of the Phoebe die out of milk card.  I backed one of them with Deep Blue card and cut one of them in half.  I started building from the centre using the blue one and I attached two of the milk die cuts behind it to the top and bottom, slightly overlapping them.  Next I glued the cut halves of the fourth one to the centre back on each of the sides and I mounted the entire piece in the centre so it was nicely framed by the Lattice Edging dies.  I stamped my sentiment then cut it out with the oval from the Phoebe die and mounted it horizontally across the centre after lightly edging it with Chipped Sapphire distress ink.  I used the small flower die from the Chloe set and added some matching Deep Blue card flowers scattered across the centre.  The card was completed with milk and blue mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4" x  9" in size.  All for now. Sue x

  1. Hello Sue and all
This shade of blue stands out so well with the milk card though it looks white on my screen and just as lovely. So many ways to use one die and the little blue flowers look fabulous

  7. Another beauty. The pop of blue draws your eye into how gorgeous Victoria is, then you slowly see the whole design and the delicacy of the border, but then those tiny little flowers jump out at you which finishes the whole sample off. A perfect start to our Wednesday thank you Sue xxx

  23. An artist can make little blue flowers look like they’re scattered across the design, but mine just look awkward. Not to mention all the little blotches where I pulled them up and tried another spot. I am so glad that artists make stamps and dies for people like me.

    Best,

Good morning Sue and all the Wilsonettes.
A real Sue Wilson card today (yesterday it should read) I am so often late with my comments because they don't arrive on the day they should) I love the way that you use the dies to conform to your exquisite taste. I tried cutting a die cutting in half a while ago but you would have groaned at the result lol. My low vision raised it's ugly head.
The blue and white together remind me of my trip long ago to the Wedgewood factory.
You are an artist with a CAPITAL 'A'
    Marie P.

  65. Hello Sue. I love this card but I'm a bit confused. According to my notes from a previous card as well as the ideas inside the Lattice Edging die, the centre die in your card is the Phoebe Die CED4353. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
