  11. Hi Sue, if it wasn't for the sentiment you wouldn't even guess it was a festive card, whether it's my eyes, or that I view the blog on my phone the images are smaller than on a tablet etc, so if there are teeny weeny holly leaves or tiny icicles anywhere within the die design my eye's aren't picking them up, so this tells me that with a totally different sentiment the dies could be used for any occasion at any time of year. It's so full of delicate sparkle that in real life it would be absolutely stunning so I'm off to see if I need new glasses and watch a master at work/play. Enjoy your day xxx

  26. Lovely card. I do like the use of blue here.... I believe in not using standard so called 'Christmas colours' . Detailed but ideal for the special people in your life.

    Teresa

PS I do love your top, so bright and cheerful. I walked down Sale High Street one hot weekday recently and lamented the lack of colour, everyone was wearing drap colours except for some workers in bright turquoise uniforms.

  27. This really is a beauty Sue. While blue is my favourite colour I guess this card would look just as beautiful done with red for those who like the traditional colours. Thank you Sue for your inspiration.

A special card for a special person...Busier than I would usually create but it works...just gorgeous and can be changed up with both colour and sentiment.

  32. Hi Sue. There is so much detail and work in this card it would have to be a really special person to receive it. Although it is not necessarily Christmassy enough for me with a few changes it would make a really lovely wedding card.

  40. Hello Sue, just come back to watch your video and noticed my previous comments have disappeared. So just wanted to say what a beautiful card today. Xx

  41. That is just the best blue!

Could we infer a design rule from this card — if you have two colors, alternate them in the layers, using a lot of white with accents of blue. , usually showing through the white but in one case a swirly blue frame.

I really like the interior of the Angelina die, and it looks so beautiful with that design showing through in blue on the sample you photographed. The one you made on the video has Angelina without her interior design. I like her better when her inner self shines through.

Anyway, what a fabulous card! I wish I had a friend that special.

    Best,
    Donita

  46. Hi Sue, a really lovely card and it would indeed be for someone special if using all those pearls :-) Love the sparkle on the background and the poinsettias. Milk and cobalt blue card go together so well. Thanks for the video.

  48. Hi Sue

A beautiful card. I have a few of the dies you have used, and this card has persuaded me that I ‘need’ the others too! I loved the video. I agree with Donita about liking the sample where the inner part of the Angelina die is used.
The sentiment is lovely not only the font, but it was my mothers favourite carol so will always be special for me.
The blue and white is striking, and I love the sparkle.

    Love Helen xxx
