Hello there my crafty friends! It's more Christmas coming your way today! I started this one with a piece of acetate and the Rose Quartz and Yellow Citrine Crystal tints across it. I used my finger to spread the tints across the acetate then sprinkled some Gold and Cherry Red Holographic glitter on it. I crumpled a piece of tissue paper over it, tamped it down and set it aside to dry. Once dry I trimmed the edges to the size of my frame. I used the Double Stitched Rectangles to make a white frame which I added with mounting foam. I cut two of the Frosty Snowflake Corners in white then glued them to the sides of the frame. I cut the Season's Greeting die in white and glued it in the centre of the frame. White on white mats completed the card. The finished dimensions are 6 1/4" x 7 1/4" in size. Scroll down for card number two.
Card number two was started by cutting the Poinsettia Lattice die out of dusty rose card. I added it to a backing sheet of coconut white card covered with a sticky adhesive sheet. I added some Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz to the exposed adhesive . I used the cutting edge to create a frame which I added with foam. I seated the background on another slight;y larger piece that I embossed using the Poinsettia Lattice embossing folder.. I cut the Tis the Season out of silver card and glued it to the background. White on white mats and layers were used to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 7 3/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

GM Sue. Wow! The red background is fabulous. Must try that.
ReplyDeleteMorning Sue, my favourite day of the week, Christmas double day. Love both cards, the background of the first will make the card stand out from the rest, and the second is subtle and delicate, both in design and colour. Have a good day everyone. Bx
ReplyDeleteAwesome cards and so different too, love the vibrancy of number one and the succulency of number two, got to have a go at these two different backgrounds. Have a great day Sue, hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Morning Sue. Oh my word, what's this - the 3rd or 4th week of the Friday festive double day and not one single sample I've not been sure about and these two outstanding samples are just beautiful. The first sample, well the background is just absolutely stunning and shows the beauty of the rest of the design, whereas the 2nd sample is subtle but beautiful. Can't, won't choose as both would make anyone smile as soon as they received them. Thank you for another day of gorgeous inspiration xxx

Love the background on the first one (and of course started thinking about what colours to use to make it blue lol !! ) and the muted colours of the second one letting the die do all the talking, love that embossing folder, a real go to for Christmas backgrounds.
Hugs

Good morning Sue and what a lovely start to the morning with two fantastic cards. Like everyone else I'm struck with the beautiful background on the first one but they are both exquisite. I can't get my head around the tissue paper but maybe that's because I only came in to card making in my mid eighties and I don't recall seeing a video on it's use. I will ask Google later lol
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week end.
Hugs.
