Hi there my crafty friends! Today's card is all about the dies! I started by cutting the
Ava die twice in white. I crisscrossed them and added a
Caroline die in aqua in the middle of them. I cut just the inner die again in white and added an aqua backing to it and attached it horizontally. I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the inner die and added it with foam. I used the
Stitched Pegboard Frames and made a multi layered frame out of a white base and a thinner aqua layer. I added the frame with foam over a piece of white card and added my die cuts to the centre. Small white flowers from the
Chloe die were added around the sentiment. White and aqua mats and layers were used to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 8" x 8" in size. All for now Sue x

ReplyDeleteOh WOW Sue this is incredible, what a beautiful start to the day, this must have taken a while to prepare and put together it's so delicate and my most favourite shade of blue - Aqua. This is breath taking and I'd be so proud of myself if I were to make anything near as stunning as this but imagin the look on the face of the recipient when the envelope was opened I think they'd be speechless I know I would be. ReplyDeleteOh, this card is so beautiful. Loving all the delicate layers. I was thinking of you yesterday while I was working on your Sailboat Stainglass and matching frame retangle dies. I did cut the sailboat out of white, per your sample, and left the boat's sails and body white. I even recessed the stainglass part. I used as a backing a piece of acetate that I had made using alcohol inks mixed with liquid glue with a few pieces of gilding flakes "thrown in" and covered with a crushed piece of tissue paper. I am very pleased with the results. Thank you again for another inspiring piece and the dies you design.

Hi Sue, a very pretty card and the box frame makes it a work of art to hang on a wall. I love the colours and dies used and thanks for the reminder to use to pegboard frames more often. I think that you have made many Wilsonettes very happy with this sample today.
