Have A Beautiful Day

Hello there my crafty friends!  I haven't shown a Hydrangea card in awhile so I thought it was time!  I started with the background that I embossed with the 3D folder called Decadent Dots for some lovely texture.  Next, I used the border from the Treat Yourself die set and cut two blue ones and a white one.  I glued them on to create a wide border.  Next I cut the  Beautiful Hydrangea die in both green card and in pink card.  I cut the bloom off of the pink card and glued it on top of the green one.  I used a bit of Salty Ocean Distress Oxide on a smoothie to add a bit of colour to the bloom, then began popping up the blooms for dimension.  I cut a Double Stitched Rectangle and seated the flower on it.  The sentiment was cut in blue card and glued below the flower.  White, blue and pink layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  7 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Oh wow Sue, it's hard to say what your eyes focus on first, the amazing background or your Hydrangea flower die, both are absolutely beautiful. I have this folder plus 2 other 3D folders on hold at my lovely little craft shop, so when funds allow I'll be able to make my backgrounds pop like this too and hopefully one day I'll own this adorable Hydrangea until then I have the inspiration from yourself and others that make outstanding cards with this gorgeous die. Hope your day is as lovely as today's sample xxx

  11. Good Morning Sue and all.
Stunning card this morning , so many different details on the card. The Hydrangeas is so beautiful and the details on the flowers where they lift up is beautiful. The 3D embossing folder works so well on the design and I have noticed you have used the boarders from the cup cakes.
crafty hugs and well wishes to all.... Wendy

  12. This is a lovely card Sue. Like how you cut the hydrangea in green then added pink over the top. Pretty border too. My beautiful hydrangea has not faired well in the heat this year, normally it is glorious, hoping it comes back next time. Xx

  22. This card could please even a sightless person, with all its many bumps and rows of circles and lift-up flaps. Among all the die designers, there are so many ways to cut the hydrangea, but I’m so glad Sue decided we could use a break from gluing on all those individual florets.

    Best,

Good morning Sue and all Wilsonettes.
I may stand alone with my comment today but although I appreciate the various aspects of the flower and despite the fact that I've recently planted 3 of these in my garden,I wont be putting it on my wish list and I really don't know why.
    Sorry to be so negative.
