Good Sunday morning all! I have selected this card today because it is part of the One Day Special shows on Hochanda that I am continuing with today. I do love the way this card turned out, it is just so bright and showy. I started with the background which was made using
Midnight Blue, Purple Violet and Aqua Lagoon Pixie Powders. Once dry, I used the inner die from the
Starburst die set to cut into the card and provide a lovely backdrop for the angel and sentiment. Next I cut the
2018 Angel with a piece of black card on the top and a piece of white card underneath. This allowed me to cut the angel completely in black and just the outline cut on the white piece underneath. I used spray glue on the white solid outline and placed the black outline on top, then filled in the remainder with
Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz. I mounted the angel with foam on the bottom left side of the card. Next I cut two of the
Silent Night sentiment, one in black and one in white. I used the white as the shadow behind the black one and glued it in the upper corner. white and black mats and layers were used to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 7" x 8" in size. My shows start this morning at 9am, then follow at 1pm and 5pm. I do hope you will be able to tune in!

Morning Sue, how lovely to see you working with your new festive collection. You sure are starting to change my mind as to whether I need more festive dies lol I knew that would happen once I saw more samples it always does. Not only do I have yesterday's shows recorded whilst watching, because it's far too hot to work and clouds of smoke from the local fire at Winter Hill are wafting over near by, the best way to spend my day is going over your demo's from yesterday, and watch and record today's shows so I'm sorted ☺ Today's sample is lush and looking forward to seeing you put it together later today.

ReplyDeleteThis year's Christmas angel is beautiful. For some reason I think she has an Elizabethan or Medieval feel.No matter which she is glorious done in the sparkly Glittrbitz. The amazing pixie powdered background really shows her off well. Really enjoyed your shows on Saturday and will be watching again today.

Good Morning Sue. Ohhh I love this card Sue and I really love your New Angel she is lovely...... but.... for me to be really honest..... I am still in love with last year's Angel. So please forgive me Sue. Your sample is beautiful too. And I think by looking at it I am sure I can use the same technique on my own lovely lady. ReplyDeleteI was actually able to watch you on my PC last evening and so loved it. Your Christmas angel is lovely and the whole show was fantastic. I even loved the little hiccups as you covered them like a magician.
I have never purchased on Hochanda and got up early to make sure I can do it as There are a couple of the dies that I MUST HAVE. Your Pixie Powders are superb.
