  1. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, I too love the Octagon's and this sample is wonderful, have watched the video and it is so informative, thank you.

Well what do you all think of this weather then, me I find it awful but I know we mustn't complain, everyone is suffering in one way or another, just do what the authorities advise and keep out of the mid day sun, drink plenty of water, wear a hat if you do have to do out and if you can just chill out, anything strenuous will make you hotter, so that means that I can hopefully finish off some crafting projects that have been sitting on my table for a while, is anyone else like me with lot's of things on the go at once.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

A beautiful card. I have the classic adorned octagons and love them.

  15. Hello Sue and all
Great card, the video explained all so well again.
I really like the octagon dies and often think of starting to get some of them then get sidetracked by a new release like your fabulous Christmas release for this year. Have now watched your 4 shows on Hochanda on rewind and really enjoyed them, so full of hints, tips and inspiration.
My favourites are the mirror gold and silver Believe and Night before Christmas frames and Santa riding through that fabulous holographic sky.
We are having good winter if there is such a thing at the moment, up to 20-22 deg C during the day but down to 0 deg C at night. Very hard to get your thermostat working properly lol !!

  18. A beautiful card this morning again Sue. I absolutely love these dies and have the hexagon's but so far have not been able to afford these too. Trouble is I start saving but there are so many smaller dies I want also, and I end up buying those, but before I get where I need to be you bring out another set; lol I cannot win.

  31. Hi Sue,

Lovely card and I really like that you've simply inset the larger Octagon cuts with only the stitched frame raised up - makes it so postage-friendly...and those two diddy flowers are so cute!

  32. Good Morning Sue. I just love the Octagon dies and I am lucky enough to own two sets.... I have the stitched ones and one of the lacy ones. They make lovely cards when you mix and match them. And this sample and video proves this. It's a fabulous sample Sue.
Yes the weather is a little hot at the moment..... and on Monday and Tuesday afternoons I teach line dancing.... and yes it's been very hot....but I love my dancing as much as I love my crafting..... so I am not complaining.
I also have lots of things started at the same time like June.... and keep going back to them.... a little bit here and a little bit there..... my room is just like a bombs gone off at the moment. I really need to have a good clean up. Is anyone else like this. And how come when we watch Sues videos her table is so organised... I think we all need a few lessons in this department. Lol. Sending best wishes to everyone. Kind regards Ann Toppcards

  34. Morning Sue,

Love the card and I prefer Octagons more than Hexagons, much more versatile in producing stunning cards. I bought both sets and use them on every shabby chic & vintage cards that I make.

Going back now to watch the video

Morning Sue, why is it, that when I have to make a decision as to which dies to buy, I often choose the 'other one'e.g.. I bought the hexagonal ones as opposed to these lovely octagonal ones which have produced a beautiful card today. When I get my brain into gear, I will use your inspiration to make my own version. Can't promise it will be as lovely as this one.
Keep cool everyone. Hugs xx Pauline

June I agree , it's been a bit too hot here in the south ! It's the lack of sleep that bothers me x I've been making some Christmas cards to try and make me feel cooler but the iced snow keeps sticking to me instead of the cards !!! Take care x

  48. Hi Sue, a gorgeous card and informative video. The Sophia die is so pretty and goes with the octagons so well. I only have the hexagons but I'm sure I can create something similar with them.

My sympathies for all those suffering from the heat, I feel very lucky in that we had heavy rain last night and today is cool and fresh.

  50. Gorgeous card that shouts Sue Wilson. I am with June and Ann T....plenty of parts and portions lying about everywhere. I decided a week ago that I had to complete some of them (which I did) but then I also want to try new things and got together with friends who decided to make easel cards and so now I have other things to finish and so it goes.
I bet Sue never has a messy craft room. I watch how efficiently and neatly she works and I'd say it is good habits there and she keeps everything orderly .
Stay cool, Ladies (or warm for those that applies to). Our summer could be hotter but I am sick of all the rain which makes things muggy here. Wish we could share and everyone could stay in the 70's.
