Wishing You Brighter Days

Hello all!  This is one of my favourite cards, so I hope you like it as much as I do!  I started with the Garden Circle Scene die set and cut a blue circle backdrop.  I used most of the accessory dies from the set to add grass, flowers, clouds and birds.  I used the Wishing Mini Expression for the first part of my sentiment and cut it in brown and added it to the centre of the circle.  Next I used the branch from the A Little Birdie Told me set.  I cut it in tan and added green to the leaves using Peeled Paint Distress Oxide ink.  I used it upright instead of as a branch.  I taped the circle to a larger piece of coconut white card.  On the lower section, I added the remaining part of my sentiment taken from a stamp where I masked off the "wishing" word and stamped it in black on white card.  I used the Stitched Flags die set to cut it out with and added it to a slightly larger sky blue mat .  I used the Double Stitched Rectangles and made a multi layered frame that surrounded the two pieces.  I completed the card with white and Sky Blue mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  8. What can I say Sue. This has to be one of my most favourite samples too, it's clean fresh and extremely pretty. It's just so fresh looking I love the design, colour scheme, those dainty gorgeous tiny little flowers are beautiful. And I hope you feel a sense of pride whenever you see this sample because if it wasn't for your love of craft when you first started 10yrs ago 😉 your decision to go into die design, we wouldn't have these gorgeous starts to our day, (and have a healthier looking bank account) lol I'm hoping that one day I will have these dies and and hope to put the same big smile on someone's face as you've put on mine over the year's.
I really hope that everyone is finding ways to keep from melting during this heatwave and that maybe your craft room is the coolest room in your home !
Sending hugs and hope you have a lovely day xxx

  36. Good Morning Sue. Beautiful card today Sue and very cheery. I have to say. I needed something like this...... to cheer up one of my line dance pupils.... she fell in her garden....she has a broken leg.....a broken arm.... and fractured opposite wrist and fingers. We went to see her last week with some flowers from the class.....and she is so down and fed up. She has to have everything done for her.....which2 she said was very upsetting and embarrassing. So if you don't mind Sue I would like to use this to cheer her up a little and put a smile on her face.....as its going to be a long time before she is back dancing again. Sending best wishes to everyone. Kind Regards Ann Toppcards Leeds.
