For Someone So Special

Hi there crafters!  Today's card uses wisteria and iris card with a touch of black as an accent.  I started with wisteria card as my background and cut two of the Climbing Floral Vine in white and glued them to the sides of the card.  I cut the Climbing vines again two more times out of Iris card and used the fall away from the flowers and paper pieced it back into the original white ones on either side.  Next I cut two of the Nina dies, once in Iris and once in black.  I used the back version to shadow the Iris one.  I added a white backing and added it with foam in the centre of the card.   I stamped the sentiment and added a thin black mat and added it to the centre of the Nina die. The card was completed with iris, black and white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

    This is so lovely x
    I love the iris and wisteria. They are such a beautiful combination.
    Don't get me started on the Climbing Floral Vine. Such a beautiful die. It is such a pretty delicate accent and lends itself perfectly to paper piecing.
    Big thumbs up from me for this gorgeous card x
    For those of you who now in shock that I am commenting so early I apologise. I have been awake since 2 and figured that a cuppa and comment before attempting to get some sleep was a good idea.
    Think we are in for some more lovely weather although the possibility of thunder has been mentioned. Hopefully I will sleep through it and wake to be greeted by sunshine and blue skies x

    Another lovely card. I do like lilac. Initially the background is so subtle I thought you had mounted them side decorations over lilac vellum it is really lovely.

    Hi Sue, sorry I'm a bit late but it has been a glorious day here and I have spent much of it working in the garden or watching RHS Chelsea on the TV. I love today's card using my favourite wisteria and the Climbing Floral Vine is beautiful especially when paper pieced as you have done here and it complements Nina perfectly.

    I love this card and its doable. I have the dies and looks like a fun one. Very pretty and I love the colors, at least on my computer screen.
    I am going to the beach with my sister and my old Chihuahua (he does love golf cart rides so he will be happy)No crafting for 5 days....Will I have withdrawals? My hubby thinks so.
