  6. Hi Sue. I'm loving today's sample and can't wait to sit back and enjoy learning how to put it together. I had the biggest smile on my face when you launched this die and was quickly added to my need list (along with the other fun dies) so far I only have the shirt from the April launch but I'll get there eventually) it's such a wonderful cute die and will be so useful for me and I know those that visit the market will love it too, on my first visit yesterday to my local craft shop since last year, I picked up some lovely shirt patterned cardstock plus treat cups so all I need now is this die and hopefully I will do it justice, so thank you for this lovely tutorial and the inspiration you've given.
Love and hugs on their way ☺ xxx

  14. Good Morning Sue

This is a lovely card Sue. I think it will have brought back lots of happy memories for people. Happy times, we need so much more of them at the moment I think. The joy of a newborn baby and all that it entails boy or girl is so very special, like your card. Thanks for sharing I shall look forward to watching the video this morning with a coffee. I hope you have a lovely day whatever you are doing.

  21. Your video was even more fun than usual, measuring out tiny spoons of beads and glitterbitz.

I would be tempted to add the little fallout hearts from the rattle die as color confetti inside the shaker. So if you had used a brayer in making this card, you could call it a shaker, rattle and roller card.

Because of the Royal Wedding, I'm writing a story about viewing parties. One fancy inn whose innkeeper is a retired British Infantry officer has already sold out its three separate events, a breakfast buffet that starts at 5:30 a.m., (the wedding is at 7 a.m. our time) a tea with a cash champagne bar in the afternoon and a wedding breakfast in the evening. So many things I didn't know! Like sabering champagne, what a morning coat and an Eton mess are, and that those tall black hats worn by the palace guards are made of bear fur. The valet staff will be dressed as palace guards. I asked how an inn on the coast of Rhode Island would procure hats like that, and he said, "You start by finding a bear." He rented them from a theatrical costume shop in Boston.

    Best to all,
    Donita

  28. Hi Sue,

A lovely simple card to welcome a new arrival, a definite keepsake gift for the new parents too...and so impressed with all your sentiment/word dies as they cut so beautifully and pop easily out of the die...

Donita - finding a bear would be the easy bit - getting the vicious brute to part willingly with it's fur coat?...not so easy....lol

    Oh my - adorable x
I love this card - the baby rattle die is ingenious x
Shaker cards always manage to bring a smile to anyone's face. I really need to have a treat cup filling session. When I do find myself making a card there have been times when I have realised that the intended shaker is a non starter as a bit of time and patience is required to prepare the shaky element! Lol x
Donita - brilliant. As well as all the excitement you have received an education on a few of the weird and wonderful every day aspects of British life! Lol. Eton mess is a particular favourite of mine - making and eating - especially eating x
I am off to see Aladdin in London this evening. My vocal chords are ready for a workout - love all the songs x
Have a lovely day everyone. Sending lots of love to all specially missing friends x

  42. Hi Sue, I love baby cards and this one is adorable. Loved watching you measuring out the shaker elements with that tiny spoon :-)

PP - enjoy your evening at the theatre.
Donita - I like the sound of your innkeeper, he has a proper British sense of humour! I hope you have found it interesting talking to him and learning about some of our oddities. I hope you get a chance to taste some Eton Mess, it is delicious.

Hi Sue, sorry I haven't been able to comment for the past 3 days but I was celebrating my birthday in the Lake District and my blessed comments wouldn't go. Similarly, I was unable to receive any either. However have been playing catch up today and must say the the daisy card was my favourite.
Great baby shaker card today and having heard that my neice is expecting a baby in November, this has given me a lovely idea. Thank you Sue. Hugs xx Pauline
