Beautiful Hydrangea die

Hello and welcome back!  This next set is called Beautiful Hydrangea and is it ever!  The die is a bit different in that the flowers cut and lift up to create the look of the Hydrangea without having to put in individual flowers.  It also comes with a lovely sentiment die that is just perfect for any occasion!  Don't forget to use the Pinit button at the bottom of each post to save any cards or die samples for later inspiration.  There is one final day of this blog launch and it all starts tomorrow morning at 6am.  It is all about the flowers tomorrow!  All for now, Sue x

  9. Hi Sue

Great die set and lovely card. I always used to think hydrangea plants were a bit old fashioned, but in the last 10 years or so I have fallen in love with them. They are little works of art with all the tiny petals that make up the flower heads. We have a couple in our garden, but I think the greatest ones are down south where it’s warmer as they have magnificent specimens much bigger than ours.

Anyway back to the die set and card! Very useful not to have to cut the invidual petals and the leaves are great as is the sentiment.

    Love Helen xxx

  17. Hi Sue, a beautiful card and a very clever die that will save us a lot of cutting and placing of individual petals. Love the way you have achieved the mix of colours on one of the heads, imitating nature perfectly. I have just come back from the garden centre (20% off for members so could not resist) and they had plenty of hydrangeas for sale. I already have several in the garden so was not tempted but I think this die will find its way here very soon.

I don't really think this is a "finishing touch" but the perfect touch for creating an elegant card as you have done here. I really like the uniqueness of the die and the fact that the petals open up to give a more realistic look. A "showstopper".

  98. The hydrangea is my most favorite flower. I love them so much. My mother had one on each side of the stairway to our front door growing up. It got so big every year that my dad had to cut them back. My mother had a green thumb. It’s all I can do to keep her Christmas cactus alive since she’s passed away in ‘99. But, Momma, I’m doing it. (So far anyway.). So this die is now a little higher on my wish list. Myra, calla lily crafts

  99. Hello Sue and all

It seems hydrangeas are a favourite for many of us, I have 2 growing, they were pink but I love blue and have been using the powder trying to blue them for a couple of years and so far have got to a creamy colour but they are beautiful in so many shades. They remind me of my Nan who used to call them her "hygeraniums" lol !
Love the way the flowers are cut and stand up without the need to glue lots of little flowers on, way up the ever growing list.
So sad that tomorrow is already the last day, your releases fly and this one has so many Must Haves as usual,
Can't wait to see more flowers,
