Happy Hour Shaker Card

Hi bloggers!  The Happy Hour Background makes a great shaker card and you can even use the fallaway pieces inside of the shaker part too!

The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  7 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  2. Hi Sue. Are you messing with my mind again lol. I still can't get over the card from last week, I know you're clever with your dies, that's why you won and deserved the award but last week's background blew our mind and both of us sat here - Andy included and actually laughed out loud - wow amazing ☺
I look forward to watching today's tutorial as I've gone shaker card mad and made a few for Mother's Day to take to market but they could be better, and although I asked Paul for idiot proof step by step instructions lol but there's nothing better than getting help from a professional (sorry Paul) lol love ya 💋 so im excited to watch you put todays fun sample together, its brilliant Sue thank you.
Sending love and hugs your way, hope you have a great day xx

  18. Good Morning Sue. Ohhh boy do you make things look so easy...... yes you do...... I have just watched the video and was I impressed. Normally the shaker cards don't do anything for me.... but I have to admit after seeing this I could be wanting to have a go. Hey maybe it's the wine glasses...... or is that wish full thinking lol. Anyway it's a brilliant card Sue and so much fun. Sending best wishes to everyone on this sunny but bitterly cold morning. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds

  19. It's like someone gave us miniaturization dust and shrank us down so the confetti inside the shaker card looked huge. That little bit of sparkle really dazzles up the pastel drinks. Using the background as white on white really helps cut down on the confusion of which is the image and which is the space in between. Also, having the pastel cutouts of the drinks as the confetti really helps the eye see the drink shapes first and ignore the waistcoat shapes.

That reminds me. I was at an event Monday night, and talking to a woman I had just met. We were pointing out people in the room by describing their hair color or what they were wearing. I wanted her to notice the man in the fleece vest, but as I was searching for the word vest, she said jumper. It stopped me. She didn't have a British accent, but I still asked if she was British. She said no, but her husband was.

I really like getting videos almost every other day!

Thank you. Enjoy your Tuesday already in progress.

    Best,
    Donita

A grey, gloomy day here so far but my house is still standing after last night. We had a horrible thunder storm with wind but not as bad as was predicted. I have branches down but am grateful nothing else (thank you, Frances).

Super card. Love shaker cards and the colours you've used for the fallaway pieces are so pretty. I made a shaker card for my grandson's birthday a couple of weeks ago, not using this die though as he's only six. Last year's card, a gum ball machine is still his "best card ever" but it's come back to me for servicing. After thousands of turns the handle has come off so he wants it mended and returned in working order!

    Take care everyone
