For You

Good Sunday morning all!  Today's card features the Heather die, all over!  I started with a piece of coconut white card and cut the decorative die from the Heather set into the centre twice.  I backed it with Cobalt Blue card.  Next I cut two more full Heather dies out of white and cut them in half down the centre lengthwise.  I glued the halves to the top and bottom of the card edges.  I ran a strip of double pearls cut in half down each of the edges to hide the cut line in the die.  Next I cut the Heather die in Cobalt Blue and backed it in white and added it to the centre of the card with foam.  I made a frame using the centre of the Summer Rose die set and stacked several of them to raise it.  I backed it in cobalt blue and added it with foam to the centre of the card.  I cut the sentiment from the Summer Rose frame in white and added it to the centre of the frame.  I made a small white flower using the single flower from the Nasturtium Cluster and inked the edges with Faded Jeans. I seated the flower on a small white satin ribbon bow.  White and Cobalt Blue card mats and layers were added to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  9" in size.

  5. Hi again Sue. More snow over night and my pretty happy daffs no longer look happy and spring like. Where have the season's gone from when I was little when summer was hot and autumn was mild, and you knew which season was which !
I have to say that the cobalt blue is the most stunning shade and it really shows how gorgeous Heather is. I'm just loving the mini sentiments and hope to start my collection soon. Thanks Sue for today's beautiful sample, and I'm delighted that there were enough comments left this week to enable our three lucky comment winners to receive their lovely gift well done ladies. Hopefully those blog followers that left over the past year will soon join us again ☺ fingers and toes crossed.
Whatever your doing today Sue hope you have a wonderful day. Sending hugs your way xxx

It’s incredible that you can make a card with basically one die & by cutting it in two opposite directions can achieve such a different look. You would never think the edge was the same die as the centre. Will be very interested to see you do this with some of your other Dies (Please!). Thank you so much Sue for all your inspiration.
