Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hello there my crafty friends!   You may have spotted this card on my shows last week.  I thought it would make a nice giveaway today.  I started by cutting four of the Chantilly Lace Edger in white and gluing them to a piece of sky blue card.  I let them overlap naturally at each of the corners.  Next I cut the Poppy die in white and cut it down to make a square of it.  I added it in a diamond orientation to the centre of the framed background.  I cut the smaller die in the Sophia in blue and backed it in white and added it with foam.  The miss you mini expression was cut in white and added to the centre.  Using the Passion Flower die set, I cut three flowers, inked the edges very lightly with Tumbled Glass, sprayed them with spray adhesive and pearled and glittered them.  I added leaves around them as accents.  I cut a larger piece of blue card and ran strips of double sided tape around the edge and glittered them with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz and added the topper to the middle of it.  White and blue mats were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.  Leave a comment if you would like to be entered into the drawing to win this one.  I will announce the winner on Saturday's blog post.  All for now, Sue x

  4. Oh Sue this is adorable and yes I remember this from catching up with your recent shows, in fact the sentiment you've used is how we all feel about your time away from our screens.... we missed you.
What a good job you do multiple of the same samples as this is far to pretty to giveaway, one chap on Sunday after going through my baskets of cards said "do you feel like you're giving your children away" lol I must admit if I find I've done a particularly pretty card and like it, I do kind of hope it doesn't sell lol is that wrong ? Lol. So back to this gorgeous delicate lush card, at least it's one of a 'twin' and you know we're a good bunch of lads and lasses so whoever is the lucky new parent to this delectable beauty will look after it well and love it like you do ☺
I refuse to talk about the weather as that's all the news is about and it's getting a bit daft now, why does this country always go OTT when we have snow !
So keep warm keep safe and 'Keep Calm And Craft' 😉
    Love and hugs xxx

  6. Hello Sue and all
I remember seeing this beauty on the Hochanda rewind, it is just beautiful, the colours and cutting the Sophia to a square as well, of course the passionflower. A lovely prize to treasure.
Thank you Izzy and Steph for your help with the pixies, I am currently making a basic card with mini striplets cut out to sit on top of my first piece and have some left over for flowers. I agree, there is no such thing as a throwaway piece of pixie card :-)
Myra, I can only say that the best thing I did was move my craft room, I hardly leave it lol !! But I have put the sofa bed in the carpeted area at the rear of the garage where I used to craft and I have blow up mattresses that could go on the craft room floor in an emergency. I spend some time most days crafting or on the computer and rarely have guests staying so it made sense to me. Love my new "Craft Corner"
Look after yourself Laine, that is a big day unmentionable weather or not,
    Keep warm and safe everyone
    Hugs

  10. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, a stunning card today and your so kind to give it away to some lucky person, how it will be treasured, do you realise how unique your cards are and to be given one is a real honour, they take pride of place on any shelf in a crafters room/cabin or even under the stairs craft space, (yes some people use that space for crafting too), anyway good luck to everyone who enters.

Now what is happening with our British weather, one minute it is bright blue skies and the next is it all white out there, twice yesterday my hubby cleared the driveway and part of the road, it now has at least 4 times as much of it and because of the cold it will be like blocks of ice oh dear, please bloggers if you can stay in side, but if you have to venture out then please, please be careful. I am due to go on a retreat on Sunday for 2 days, I am just hoping that the snows clears a bit by then.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  35. About as far different from Industrial Chic as it's possible to get!. I could just hear a global sign of relief as almost everyone settles back into their comfort zone.

To me, this sample brings to mind a spider web. In real life, I bet the glitter on the flowers and glitterbitz in the frame remove any hint of Charlotte. Although imagine what she could have done with glitter and glltterbitz!

I'm falling into the arms of sleep.

    Best,
    Donita

  64. Hi Sue, I love this gorgeous and beautiful creation it is what I consider to be a 'proper' Sue card :-) lacy, sparkly and pretty flowers what more can we ask for. A very lucky person will win this on Saturday.

So much snow overnight and virtually all morning. Gusty wind is making it worse creating drifts. My windows resemble a Christmas card with snow creeping up the panes. If I could see Norah's hills I am sure they would be beautiful but the sky is just full of snow clouds and they are blanketed off.

Laine - has your appointment been cancelled? My friend was due to go to Ninewells today and would have cancelled herself but they cancelled first because the surgeon couldn't get there!

My advice to anyone with snow is to stay indoors and craft but if you have to go out please take great care and stay safe.
