Hi crafters! How about a cute shaker card for a new baby, that would certainly be different!
The winner of this week's Wednesday Card Giveaway is:
Jan Sayer!!!
Congratulations! Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your card.
The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/4" in size. All for now, Sue x
Beautiful card Sue. Perfect for a new baby.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to our lucky winner, Jan, enjoy your card.
Marie, congratulations on the safe arrival of your great granddaughter, does she have a name yet. I hope you get to see her very soon and have lots of cuddles.
Elaine, I was happy to read your post that Andrew was responding to the hospital care and was feeling more comfortable. He is a fighter your boy and with the support of his consultant I hope the funded treatment is restored, esoecially as the consultant is confident it will work. Loved that he calls us his crafting fan club, we are all rooting for him and waiting for good news soon.
Thank you Helen for your kind words, I hope you and hubby are feeling better.
Maureen hope you are feeling better too, is George playing Nursey to you now.
Donita, what a lovely surprise from your late Mum, hope you get a lot of pleasure from using the papers and some hapoy memories too.
Barbara, I wish you a happy 2018 where you can rebuild your life without him, you deserve so much better., he deserves what he got.
Saba and hubby, safe journey home, take care.
The twins brought Dave over yesterday, he looks more like his old self, much better but will not drink water still. Gave him a mix of water coloured with milk and he drank some of that. He is a funny little dog snores when he is sleeping.
My basket of heated healing hugs is open, help yourselves to as many as required, it is everlasting., sending some to poorly and missing friends too.
Morning Sue. Happy Saturday. And a very happy Saturday to Jan, first winner of 2018, enjoy your gorgeous gift from Sue.
ReplyDeleteLoving today's sample Sue, almost a serene welcome to baby after his/her long journey into the unknown. I love this set of dies, and not only have I used them as clouds I've used the plain cloud as a hill, and cut the various size stars in the most pretty card and used them to decorate our 2ft real Christmas tree lol along with last year's baby deer, oh yes, we know how to push the boat out lol, there seemed no point in going OTT this year considering we were spending little time here over the season of festivities, so when I say your dies are extremely versatile I've turned clouds into hills and the stars into 'home decor' kind of ! Can't say I don't try lol. Anyway I'm so looking forward to watching your tutorial a little later I do love watching them and seeing a pro at work ☺
My Saturday hugs are on their way along with much love and thanks for your inspiration xx

A very sweet and different card for a new baby. Thank you Sue, stay warm this weekend. Xx
ReplyDeleteMorning Sue and all Wilsonettes, oh this card is so cute, I love the sentiment die on here, it could also be used on a Christmas card (dare I say the C word so early ha ha!!). Will watch the video later as intrigued to see what you have used in the shaker part as I cannot make it out on the picture, might be the glitter flakes or something, anyway I will find out.
ReplyDeletePam I reiterate all you have said above, you condense it all so well, and what a wonderful crafting club we are here, Andrew is correct in that.
Congratulations to Jan on your win and also to Marie on your new arrival.

Good Morning Sue. A lovely cute card for this morning. And how appropriate for Marie and her new addition to the family.... Congratulations. I love the simplicity of it.. and with colour changes would be for girl as well. Or lovely yellow and gold to cheer someone up.
ReplyDeleteSixth day today so our tree and decorations come down today. I must be the only one in our street with mine still up, but I was brought up to appreciate tradition.... my mother was a great believer in tradition, I always remember when I had my first baby,....my wonderful son Andrew....she told me that after I had him I was not allowed into her house until I had been to church !!!. I have no idea why..... she never said..... but believe me I had to do it before I could go into her house. God rest her soul she was the best mother and my greatest friend.... Has anyone else heard of this.
Congratulations to the lucky winner this morning. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds

Pam, Dave sounds like a cutie on the mend. I had a pug that snored...kind of comforting background noise like a clock ticking.
Donita, what a nice surprise. The papers sound beautiful. Glad the green "bomb" wasn't confiscated.
Jan, I am jealous. A trip to New Zealand AND a Sue Wilson card. Enjoy both.

Congratulations Jan on winning the gorgeous card. Enjoy your holiday in New Zealand, and enjoy receiving Sues card once you get home.x
Pam, We are beginning to feel better thank you, ( and for your hugs). X
Elaine, I'm glad Andrew and Pam have exchanged virtual hugs before and I laughed at the big smacker that he sent her. I'm sure he will take comfort in those lovely heated ones! Not to mention all the other types he is being sent from the rest of his Crafting Fan Club. I hope he is still being kept comfortable. Oh yes, and remember to take a few yourself and for Helen too. X
Donita, sorry forgot to say yesterday how nice that your mother had stashed away that tube of papers just for you. I hope it gives you some comfort and enjoyment of using it. X
Love to all Helen xxx
Sue this is wonderful and so cute, i love the clouds and the detail on them.
ReplyDeleteHello Sue,
ReplyDeleteI watched the video and as usual many a hint and tip to help along the way! The tip to smear the glue was one and the little star at the end of a squiggle is inspired!! The card is lovely and I’m looking at the Dies in a new light!! Do pardon the pun! I have put all my stars from your Dies together as I now have lots but they all are well used! All go together beautifully too! Thank you!
Saba and her husband are safely home! It’s always good to get that text! Friends are precious aren’t they!
Maureen is feeling better today , nearly back to normal - well - normal for Maureen! I wouldn’t be so cheeky if she was still unwell.
I passed on messages to both and they sent thanks to all .
Pam - Dave as a dogs name I can cope with but don’t let him turn into a cat!! Lol! Aren’t dogs funny sometimes! Our Labrador , sadly no longer with us, once licked a toad!! She was very sick indeed ! Vet suggested scrambled eggs when she was getting better! Even the water dish had been removed! Forever after if she heard me beating eggs she sat at my feet and drooled!!
Elaine - thinking of you, Andrew and Helen! I’m sure we must make Andrew smile and it never hurts to smile even when unwell. X
Laine - I miss you . Sending lots of love!
Love to all on this lovely blog!
Myra ( Friend of Maureen!) xxx
This is adorable! SO precious!

Marie P., Donita - Where are you?
Extremily cold here.Windchill values of minus 30 to minus 35 are forecast for this evening into Sunday morning. However Sunday will be the last day of the recent cold snap as temperatures moderate throughout the day and with a much milder week expected.Hope they are right this time.
Hugs to you all,
Still a newbie to Craft / not longer the newest, or the only across the pond Wilsonette
