Rain Or Shine

Good Sunday morning all!  Today's card offering is a bit of a clean and simple styled card.  I started with a piece of coconut white card that I embossed with the Rain Drops  embossing folder for texture.  Next I cut a smaller piece of coconut white card for the top of the card, then cut the lower edge of it in an offset v shape.  I used my scoring tool to add a line around it for a bit of detail and glued it to the upper portion of the card.  From the Rain Or Shine set, I cut the umbrella in white as a base, then cut it again out of some decorative paper (from my craft stash) and added the umbrella top and handle to the white base.  I added it with mounting foam to the lower portion of the card.  I cut the sentiment in sky blue card and glued it to the top left of the card and cut a pretty sun out of custard yellow card for the right side of the card.  Very simple indeed.  White on white mats were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4" x
7 1/2" in size.

The winners of this week's Comment Game are:

Chris Curry!!!
Val Jones!!!
TDQ Karen!!!

Congratulations all!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your prize.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Beautiful card Sue, delightful. Would make even a rainy day happy.
    Congratulations to comment game winners.
Jan enjoy your visit to New Zealand.
Elaine, oh I remember that virtual smacker from Andrew, it was a doozie. I hope he is continuing to feel better, it will help you and Helen because you both need your rest too. Please take care of yourselves too. Love and hugs to you all.
Helen, happy to hear you and hubby are now on the mend, take it easy though, you have had a rough time of it.
Ann, I remember when my first daughter was born I couldn't take her into my aunts house until I had been churched (we are Catholic) and my friends mum dragged us in and said what harm can a beautiful baby do. The Priest only did it once per week. That was 48 years ago, I didn't think they still bothered now.
Myra, thank you for the updates on Maureen and Saba, what would we do without you. The vet to,d Kelly not to give him scrambled eggs why I don't know. He has chicken and rice and carrots, all cooked fresh each meal. Carrots, oh he must be a rabbit. His ears are big enough. He is gorgeous.
Stehanie he is a French Bulldog so very similar to your pug. You are right his snoring was comforting.
Carmen, I hooe you are keeping well and warm in the extreme weather. I was watching the weather on to in New York and the Massachusetts area, very bad. My brother lives in Newfields, NH and they always get the severe snow too.
My basket of hugs is ready, all are welcome. Sending some to missing and poorly friends.

The results now show two active cells in the liver ,fluid in the lungs and tummy, also a blocked bowel , hopefully they will sort out the bowel without surgery and drain off the fluid .He is to have the stent pun in sooner rather than later . The Dr said they have just 9 days to get the funded treatment back .
I think it is wrong not just on Andrew but many other patients that go through such stress and worry of if they are going to get the right treatment for their illness .
Andrew is putting on a brave face as always .

Thank you all for your concern .

  78. I'll take some sunshine, please. Winter is in full swing here. Too cold and too much snow. Everything outside since Christmas has been white! No sun here. I just wanted you to know that I die cut your Happy Birthday die yesterday. I was very pleased at how well this die cut out. I had no issues getting the paper out of the die for which I am grateful to you and your attention to quality in designing your dies. For the most part when I "tried" to cut a word or saying out of a die, I had many issues of torn and tattered paper. This did not make me want to do this anymore. I did need a Happy Birthday to use as a stopper for an easel card I was making and your die came to my mind. I used it and I am very pleased with the result. I even cut it three times and layered it up. Not one problem between the three cuts. Yea!
