Hang In There

Hi there fellow bloggers!  I have a cheeky little fun card to share with you today.  I'm sure we all know someone you could use a "Hang in there" card!  I started by embossing a piece of coconut white card with the Leafy Montage embossing folder.  Next I cut a bunch of the vines from the Cheeky Monkey die set in several different shades of green (from my craft stash).  I glued them in place hanging downward from the top of the embossed background.  I cut three monkeys out of tan card and inked through the dies with Worn Lipstick and Vintage Photo.  I hung the monkeys by their tales across the card. I cut the sentiment in both yellow and brown card and glued them together with the brown as a shadow and attached them in the lower corner.   I used the same brown and yellow card as thin mats between wider white mats and layers.   The finished dimensions are 7" x  8 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Gorgeous card Sue, lovely to see the cheerful monkeys.
Elaine I'm so sorry to hear your latest news. It is appalling that Andrews treatment was stopped due to funding, I hope and pray that the Consultant is strong enough to get the treatment. I can't imagine the pain you are going through waiting all the time for news and hopes dashed in this way. There are billions wasted in this country, money that our health service needs so badly. My prayers and hugs and support will always be there for you and Andrew and the family.
Myra, glad you were okay, sensible action to take.
Helen, slowly does it, it has been a long time fir you and hubby to be poorly.
Rosemary, thank you honey, there is no news on the heating ring fixed. It is reaching the legal limit within 2 hours but no higher, they are bringing in extra little heaters but they take too long to work in such a small space.
Dave was kept at the vets yesterday and put on a fluid drip, Kelky picked him up last night, she says he looks a bit better, had some warm milk and vet said to give him grilled chicken and rice only. He goes back today to see how he is doing. She sent me a photo last night with his orange bandage on his leg from the drip, poor mite.
Basket of heated hugs is full, help yourself. Sending hugs to poorly and missing friends.

  4. Hi Sue. I've started my day with a smile ☺ (although my day started at 4am) it starts in earnest when I log into the blog and what did I see, one of my birthday gifts from last month that I've not had chance to play with yet due to the festive season getting in the way, but I love this sample and I can't wait to get these cheeky little monkeys cut and start playing. This is one die that's really got my imagination going and that's a rarity for me lol. So thank you for today's happy feel good sample.
Sending love and hugs your way xx

Pam I hope little Dave is going to be ok. I feel for the animals as unlike us humans..... they can't tell you where they hurt or how they feel. But my little Gizmo....RIP my lovely Angel....always let us know in his own way when something was wrong.
Elaine,Andrew and Helen you are all in my thoughts at this troublesome time. On a lighter note Sue could not have put a better caption on her sample this morning... so from me also "Hang in There". My best wishes to all. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds

Pam - I hope you are warmer in the office today and that Dave had a good night.

Good morning Sue and all Wilsonettes.
I do like your 'Cheeky Monkey Sue, I bet you had a smile on your own face as you created him.
I don't have the die but I wonder if a card showing the 3 wise monkeys could be made from it,I rather think it could. Does anyone agree?
So very sorry that Andrew is back in hospital and I'm sure that the strain is affecting all of his family. My thoughts and prayers go out to them all.

On a brighter note, my Great-Granddaughter made her entry into the world yesterday (Jan. 4th.)
She weighed in at 7lbs.14ozs. and was a water-birth. My Daughter was allowed to cut the cord and was so thrilled at the whole experience. This is her first and probably only Grandchild.

I hope it's not too long before I get to see her.
    Hugs to all.
