Facing Angels Card

Hi crafters!  Today's card is a little bit of a naughty sneak, but sometimes you can get away with it. The silver mirror card is a tad bit more forgiving for this I think or perhaps it just takes your eye away from the die edge!  You will have to watch the video to see what I mean! LOL

The winner of this week's Wednesday Card Giveaway is:

Suemac!!!

Congratulations!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your card.

The finished dimensions are 7" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Gorgeous card Sue. Love the Angel.
Congratulations to our Wednesday winner Suemac, lucky lady.
Carmen, I won't send the snow to you, I think you will have more than your fair share over the winner. My brother lives in New Hampshire and I know how bad they get it. Our snow has gone for now, washed away by the rain, however my rear garden is still covered, I can live with that. It is very cold out though.
Cheryl hope you enjoyed your tea last night, I too like frozen peas, however the twins don't like them so rarely get to eat them.
June thank you I wish I could join your group, it sounds so much fun and very sociable.
Elaine I know you are keeping your posts brief so that Trixie behaves. I hope Andrew and Mary are doing well.
Theresa, what are Stovies, I wonder if we had a different name for them. My dad was from a mining village nut Mum was from a town, so there were many variations and names for things. What a lit if lovely memories I've had this week. Thank you all.
Big hugs to all, keep warm and well. Extra comforting ones for poorly and missing friends. Myra tell Norah I miss her.

  4. Good Morning Sue

You little minx, but as far as I am concerned you can do as many sneaky things as you like. Julia was saying the other day how nice it is that you do reverse images with a lot of your dies. But the way you have done a reverse image of the angel is really cool! You are so talented and we are so lucky to have you share your ideas.

I can't wait to see what else you are going to show us leading up to Christmas sneakily or otherwise. :)

    Have a great day Sue

  7. Hi Sue. I know of a certain follower that will have a proud smile on her face when she walks into the blog today. If it wasn't for a very old Angel stamp of yours and a card made from that stamp your favourite Limited addition 2017 Angel may never have been born and I know how much you love her. This is such a lovely way to show her beauty.
Many congratulations to Sumac on your gorgeous card, what a lovely start to a new month.
Hibernation is now in full swing for me so I really hope my Snow Globe etc arrives soon so when my keeper brings back my new colours of the Foundation card later I can enjoy putting them together.
I shall send my usual hugs to you and hope your Saturday is a happy one xxx

  62. Lovely angel card. I appreciate you showing us crafters how you did your mirror image. Such a "plus" to know how to do this. Great video, thanks for sharing. Sue, I have a tip for you. While working on my Christmas cards, I got some liquid glue on my mirror card. Go figure! I was able to remove that glue from my mirror card with a damp cloth and a gentle wipe. The glue came off but did not remove the mirror finish. I was so pleased to find a solution to remove my mistake. Hope it works for you, too.

  63. WOW! I have this die and will be looking forward to the video as soon as I finish posting.I love the angel dies and one of my most favorite is the striplet angel which everyone in my stamp group loved so much the store bought a few and they are gone (of course). I wish they could carry more of Sue's dies but they are small so I order.
Rosemarie, you have fun with the little guy. I know exactly what you mean. I used to sit occasionally with my little nephew years ago and I just devoted the day to him going to the park, playing trains on the floor, etc. My son would come home and I'd tell him to play with Avery for a bit so I could recover and fix dinner. I adored him though.

  81. Hi Sue. Way back when die cutting was first invented (ha,ha), I was told that if you wanted to reverse a die cut you would cut the image from the wrong side of the card and then run it back through the machine with the embossing mat so that it would flatten out the domed effect created when cutting the card. I never found that this worked particularly well but I have been interested to learn that you can achieve a reversed image using mirri card and this is really important as not everyone produces left and right facing images of the same die like you do. Thanks for sharing.
