Happy Hour Background

Hello and welcome back!  The final post of the day is for the Happy Hour Background, the third die set in the cocktail theme.  You may have noticed that it had been used in the previous post and it has been used in this sample as the background for this shaker card.  This background has been designed in such a way that it can easily be cut apart into border strips.  There are three rows, two positive glasses and one negative cut out row of assorted cocktail glasses. There are stitching lines between the rows so you can easily cut them into borders following the stitching too.   I have used the fall away from the centre row of the background as the glasses inside my shaker card.  The die set also comes with two outer stitched cutting dies so you can make a lovely frame for it as well.  Leave your comments on this one!  Tomorrow's posts begin at 6am.  All for now, Sue x

  15. This set is a winner for sure...love the positive/negative aspect of the die giving you all those cute little glasses fallout and that you can cut it into strips. One really big plus to me is the frames. I struggle to find the right dies for frames and so nice that this set comes with the right size giving the option right out of the package. This is a well thought out die set and I want it!

  18. Hello Sue

I was wondering about that as I hadn't seen the background and as it brings the other dies together! Really useful, attractive and well thought out sets of dies.

Thank you for all your hard work that you must have put in to design them while keeping your blog going and I know how difficult that is to post every day and you do so without exception plus your tv presentations! You must take a well earned break at Christmas and relax!!

When I saw this die on a pre-launch was too sure, but now having seen it in conjunction with the the other dies and how the 'waste' can be used - its very versatile and I love it...

  32. These fun time collections of dies take me back to the leaving parties from my working day's when all you could taste was the various fruity ingredients .... coconut and pineapple, Bailey's etc, that was until the outside atmosphere hit you and WALLOP !! And that's a good place to leave my tales of younger days gone by before I say something incriminating 😳
Never made a shaker card successfully so now is the time to start if I'm lucky, can always stencil through the die as a good background too. How about a barrow or basket full of empties lol or a cheeky monkey holding a glass !! Anyway, so many options for the cocktail hour collection. Think I'm too 'over the hill' to enjoy one and remain sober as it goes straight to my head now, id find myself resting under the shade of a tree wondering how i got there 😉

  70. Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

Yet another AM-AZ-ING card and die set, you have really excelled yourself with this theme Sue, I absolutely love it! I may be alone in this but the background keeps playing havoc with my eyes, I don’t automatically see the glasses on the negative top and bottom lines and have to concentrate :-) Nevermind, the effort is worth it, the effect is fabulous and i love it as the background to this card sample...the shaker effect is great, using the fall away cocktail glasses is ingenious. All this thought of cocktails and alcohol has reminded me of my misspent youth propping up bars in Stirling and Ayr, happy memories so thankyou for bringing to mind happier days for me:-)
Julie, welcome back! So sorry to hear about your hospital stay and memory problems:-( but how lovely for you to have such a kind and generous hubby, lucky you:-)
Rosemary, i am currently putting off watching the Strictly results show, think that Aston is in severe danger despite my votes, Craigs 4 was a disgrace and could see him out of the competition which would be such a shame:-( i found the show so hard to watch as he slipped down the leaderboard, hope you enjoyed it and your favourites did well:-)
Stephanie has the right idea, the fireworks have been at their worse tonight, so bad that Darcey has taken refuge in the wardrobe.....i tried to put her out later last night and as she was pondering a banger in the distance put her off:-( , my mum and I eventually had to physically lift her and take her out, i felt like such a bad mother but she wont use the litter tray and would have been out in the middle of the night when she eventually got desperate. Expecting more trouble tonight, might encourage her by taking her for a walk myself......
Saba, what age do you think i am? Didn’t decimalisation come in in 1971?.....I wasn’t even born then i’ll Have you know! I’m a child of the modern age of microwaves, computers and mobile phones, okay the phones may have been the size of a small suitcase and the computers took 30mins to load a game when i was a girl but still......:-)
Sending hugs to all, hope you are enjoying the launch as much as I amxxx
