You Are The Best

Start with a piece of coconut white card  and emboss it with the Sm. Beaded Fanfare Pinpoint Embossing folder for texture.  Cut a piece of Aqua card on the diagonal to encompass the lower corner area of the card and tape or glue on top.  Cut a thin strip of Blush pink card and attach it across the join area.  Cut a double strip of white pearls down the centre and use on line of pearls and add it to the pink border.  Stamp the Chrysanthemum Bouquet Stamp To Die For stamp in Black Archival ink and cut it out with the matching Bermuda die set.  Using Distress markers, colour the outer portion of the stamp using your choice of colours.    Stamp it again on coconut card and cut out just the inside section.  Colour this section as desired.   This stamped image was coloured with Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Peacock Feathers, Forest Moss and Mustard Seed. Add mounting foam and layer on top of the previously stamped and cut out image.  Stamp your sentiment from the Sweet Wishes Sentiment set by Creative Expressions and cut it out with the inside of the Atlantic Ocean tag die.  Mount with foam in the open area of the stamped image.  Add mounting foam to the back and attach to the centre of the card.  Cut several butterflies from the Cascading Butterfly die set out of blush card and add to the card as accents.  Complete the card with a paper pierced white mat, a thin blush mat, a thin aqua mat and a final white mat layer.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Lovely card Sue, beautiful. Love it
Elaine pkease wish Andrew a HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY, hope he is feeling well enough to celebrate it. It is great that you send craft stash to the Philipinnes, so kind of you. It is a good idea to save for an electric cutter, maybe the family can contribute too fior your Christmas present. I can recommend the Gemini, it is not as heavy as my EBosser which makes it easier to move when I need to, good cutter too.
Karen, such good news fir hubby and you, what a relief. Now he just needs to get well.
Maureen, sorry to hear you and George are not well, hope you are both taking care, get well soon.
June, hope your crafty afternoon went well, bet you were all covered in glitter.
Yorkie girl, who us the special lady you mentioned?
Jackie Trinder, I hope you have a very happy, relaxing well earned retirement.
The last GP I saw was a locum and i think he may have forgotten to contact the hospital as promised, he said the surgery would contact me when they got the prescription and they haven't. I'm on leave from Minday fir 2 weeks so I will go to see about it.
Linda hood your daughter had a lovely birthday and liked her card. I think I make my best cards when rushed fir a deadline.
Daily hugs to all, thinking if all our poorly and missing friends.

  7. Hi Sue. What a perfect sentiment to send back to you from me. I really love the beaded fanfare folder it's one I reach for when making cards for the awkward men, it's also better than bubble wrap to calm anxious minds lol.
It's lovely to see the older loved dies being used again I love the Bermuda set you've used here. I've said it far too many times and still done nothing about it, but I must try and invest in more Stamps to Die for, it's not until I see your gorgeous samples where you've used them that I remember I'd made a promise to myself ! My world will be far too busy to craft for a few weeks but I will one day start my collection of the stamps. Thanks for today's beautiful inspiration.
May your day be full of love laughter happiness and sunshine xxx

  17. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, this is a lovely card today, and very well described in how to make it.

Pam I reiterate all you have said above, also wishing Andrew a happy 50th Birthday, it is my 70th next month, talk about make you feel old, ha ha. Are you planning on doing anything for your 2 weeks leave apart from sorting out your prescription, or are you just going to chill out and do what ever takes your fancy. I also would recommend the Gemini, I have had mine for about 2 years now and absolutely love, love, love it, I never have a problem with anything I run through it and even the new 3D embossing folders that are out now really work brilliantly - you would be amazed to see it. In fact I suggested to my craft group ladies who come on a Wednesday to my group that they all contribute £10 towards getting one, they were happy to do this as they all benefitted, anyway we got it 2 weeks ago and they all (without exception) love it, one ladies husband is buying her one for Christmas.

Had a wonderful day yesterday with my friends crafting, talk about a laugh, we were all covered in glitter by the time we finished, even her 2 dogs.

Breakfast has just arrived, scrambled egg on toast with a little medallion of bacon.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs June Smith xxx

What a bright, sunny, happy card!

My goodness, Jackie Trinder, you sure don't go on about yourself. I missed your three little words and had to go back and see what gave everyone the idea that you had retired. It was your three little words, "I retired yesterday." Well, congratulations! Was there a party for you? Was there cake? Will there be more crafting in your future?

Happy 50th to Andrew, whenever it actually arrives.

This card is so pretty. I don't have any pinpoint embossing folders but think that will have to change as this one is gorgeous. Lovely colouring of the stamped image, as always.
Elaine, hope the extra day will give Andrew a chance to feel well enough to celebrate his birthday.
    Take care everyone.

  94. A lovely card Sue and like many others I have embossing folders and stamps that I've never used. When I started card making about 2 years ago I had a mega spend and thought I had everything I would need. How wrong can you be? I am now the proud owner of 4 die cutting machines although I only use the Gemini I really do love it and would recommend it to anyone. I have loads of e/b folders but they don't seem to have names . I am busy preparing to move right now but number 1 on my list when I re-locate is to sort out my ever growing stash. That's it for today so I must prove I'm not a robot which I have some difficulty with.
