Festive Collection

Hi Bloggers! This post is dedicated to showcasing the Holly Swirl die.  You have seen this used on a number of samples during this blog launch and with good reason, it is a favourite of mine!  I just love the way it can be used as an accent on floral embellishments.  This die can also be nipped apart and used in smaller sections which makes it a real time saver when you need a quick card.  I love the fact that it just creates such a lovely way to set off your focal elements as I have done here.  This is definitely one you will want to have in your crafty arsenal.  Leave your comment here and pop back by at 3pm.  All for now, Sue x

    Dear Sue,

    Oh, yes, the swirl! The most essential die of the whole launch! This card, with the Art Deco Snowflake, the icicle edger and that gorgeous blue background, really shows it to best effect.

    Now that Rosemary Powell has spilled the beans, thank you for the birthday wishes. It won't be a day with a high possibility of cake, but there might be some Saturday when the stampers get together. Our hostess, Mariann, always makes cake. She even made cake for us on her own birthday.

    Swirls are always handy love to use them behind flowers for extra dimension and to extend the flowers to other parts of the card. Love hiw you've done background on this card

    Afternoon Sue. Got weigh laid making a wedding card, and forgot the time (something that happens to us all) lol. Anyway your not wrong when you said it will become a favourite, when I've sneaked it in and shredded the bill,(something else we all know about) lol, I'm sure it will be used numerous times ☺ two more then that's our lot, so excitement is rising high to guess what's left for our finale.     Good afternoon lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

    What a splendid card, LOVE the pixied background, it is a striking contrast with the coconut white card. The central snowflake die is lush and accented perfectly by the holly swirl.....i have admired it throughout the launch on your other samples and looked forward to it being the main event. I always feel that a decorative swirl really finishes a card off beautifully and is a real must have if you want to create cards that stand out from the crowd. How sad that we only have a couple more posts, i do hope that the Christmas themed video tutorials will go live sometime soon so that i can get a steady fix of all things festive:-)
    I'm not doing too badly keeping up with the posts today, its about time though! I have a phone call with Yvonne tonight so i thought that id better get my act together and not leave it all till tonight!....I'm off for a lie down in a darkened room in preparation:-)

    This is one of my top favourites! I love its shape and the little holly leaves can be removed if necessary . Also there is room to add berries if required! Lol! You think of everything! That snowflake is a big favourite too!
    Ooh dear! Decisions decisions! Love the colours in this card too!
    I think I've Pinned everything including the Dies! I've meant to say for a while that I really appreciate the fact that you put sizes on the packaging . It really gives an idea of the largest Die in the set! Thank you!

    Hi Sue and the WIlsonettes,
    This is one die i am so glad you have brought out as i use the petite & grand vinery, laced edged leaves and bead swirl flourish a lot, so it is nice to have an actual Christmas flourish die set that can be used instead at that time of the year. I think that along with my angel which will always be top of my need list, this is moved up and grabbed 2nd place. So many stunning examples that you have made flower that shows off these newbies to their best, makes a hard decision of what you can afford to buy and what needs to wait until more pennies come. I think when you bring out your Christmas designs it is always the hardest of all your launches to pick from as each and every one of the designs is just so unique and stunning, that they are not a want(like a lot of them) but is needed as they will get a fair amount of useage. I know this is your hardest time waiting to see what is liked and what is just loved and not in stock anymore because they have sold out just on preview. I hope that reading all our comments that reassures you just how much we appreciate all that you put into them and that your very hard work is truly appreciated.

    I am a regular commenter on Sues Cards and her wonderful talent, but by no means everyday.
    I simply do not have time I Have looked after a mother with vascular dementia for a long time. Therefore Sam Smithard I do take offence, you should keep opinions to yourself, you do not Know other peoples circumstances,Sue's blog is wonderful, and that is exactly it . It is her blog ,she bdoes the launches, it sounds like sour grapes that it lessens your chance of winning

    I am crazy about your Holly Swirl ! I find the lightness and lace-iness (not solid) so becommingly and beautiful. Gives the card such a pretty and feminine sheerness.
    The Holly Swirl, the Let it Snow-die and the Snow Edger are the ones, which keep returning to my heads Inner Dashboard ;-) Must be a sign - have to make them a part of my die-collection.
