Hello crafters! We are at the exact halfway point with four days done and four more to go! I am starting off this morning with an introduction to the Stitched Snowflake Striplet. It has a very clean, modern feel to it and like all striplets, it has been done with two pieces. There is an inner decorative die with an outer cutting edge, but this one has the added detail of stitching around the cutting edge. Shown here with the Caught in Crystal technique, it is absolutely gorgeous in it's simplicity. This set will be great for those of you wanting to make batch cards but still give the Wow factor. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, a brilliant way to start todays samples, and how clever to put the stitching round the outer die, will have to check to see if the outer die is the same size as your other striplets, then it can be used again and again. Going to check out the 'caught in crystal' technique, just to refresh my memory which is fading fast especially in this heat.

I was thinking how this Die would go lovely with the Snowflake edge Die on your earlier card with the lighter blue and white can't remember the name of this Die but they are both equally as beautiful and something a bit different. It's gorgeous and I think can be used all year round, as to me it's got the look of a modern flower, too. And a stitched edge is so useful inasmuch it adds to the detail without any effort on our part :-)

The Hospital have told Andrew he can have a week off the Chemo for holidays etc.
He was not expecting to go on Holiday because of the money situation however { his friends the gang of 8 fishing buddies go every year to CARP d'OR France for the week it is a big fishing venue , a competition to catch the largest carp , and of course he had to cancel last year with not being well } well they called in on him last night to tell him to get ready for Thursday as he was booked in on the ferry ,,,,WHAT ! these lovely guys have been saving extra each week and have treated Andrew to this event , so Andrew is going to the caravan today to get all his fishing tackle { steady Lorraine } Isn't it wonderful to have such lovely caring friends like these? wish i could kiss them all , Andrew will have a grand time ,but he has been warned if he wins the competition they will thump him .

Hi Sue, beautiful card with a Stitched Snowflake Striplet no less. You know I am such a fan of your striplets and this one is no exception. I think the modern style of the snowflake goes perfectly with the strong blue background and the gorgeous poinsettias. I also love the embossing folder that is peeking out from the sentiment and flowers.

This card certainly qualifies for the WOW! factor. This design is a Sue Wilson "BOLD" design. I like it. Glad you mentions the stitches on the striplet die. I would have missed the stitching. You are correct, this card design does have that modern look to it. I am liking this one.
