Daffodil Basket Card

Hi crafters!  I know it is too late for Easter, but with a small sentiment change, this card is just a gorgeous spring basket full of flowers for any occasion!

The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Lovely card Sue, beautiful. daffodils are always so cheerful.
Carmen, prayers said for the Kid, hope all goes well today with his op. You all must be so worried for him. You are like his family.
Crewe Trish, good news for your brother to continue treatment, hope it helps. Are you feeling any better.
Pat, remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Maureen in a nurses uniform, err don't think so, watch out Mr L. Poor George, what has he to put up with lol. Elaine, behave yourself.
Lynda, nice to see you back, hope you are feeling better, migraine is so debilitating.
Yvonne, sorry you are still struggling, I wish I could wave a magic wand and make you all better.
June, glad the craft day went well. Sounded like good fun.
Elaine, I know Andrew will bounce back, he is a strong willed man and so determined.
Hugs to all, especially our poorly and missing friends, we need you well and back.

  4. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, this daffodil die set was the first one I purchased from the April release and it has not disappointed me, I think it really is gorgeous and can be used any time of the year, I love the video, so informative xx

Pam I reiterate all you have said. If you are back at work today I hope all goes well.

One of our sons and granddaughter are down for a few days, she is only 5 and a bundle of energy. Her mum has to work which is a shame. We made a card yesterday for her daddy who's birthday is on Thursday, we cut out some sporting shapes from your die set Sue and coloured them in, silver golf club, then left the die in place and went over with a black sharpie pen to create the football, etc. She loved using my little baby die machine, then we put them through the xyron and she stuck them all over the card. She would not wait until Thursday so had to give evidence her daddy the card, you should have seen her face, something I will remember always. Today she is going to make a card for her other nanny -she was covered in glitter yesterday as we prepared some roses ready for it, oh what joy.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs June Smith xxxx

  10. Morning Sue. How beautiful. What a happy way to start the day. There are many many spring flowers that give us the feeling of a new start, new hope, and that summer will arrive at some point not matter how short our summer days seem to be recently in the UK, but there's something about daffs that makes our heart sing, maybe it's because they are one of the first signs of new hope each year. Your basket lends itself to so many beautiful happy cards and paper projects, and its one of those dies that as soon as you see it idea's flood in (unusual for me) but its a gorgeous easy die to work with all through the year not only Easter. It's helped me make some pretty (if I do sayso myself) flower girl wedding stationary cards, that's just one of many idea's to use this versatile basket and as for the daffodils - it's right up there on the top of my Finishing Touches list along with the rest of new launch floral collection lol. So as soon as I close the front door on my two, while Andy is distracting the dog from the squirrel tree's I'll be getting inspiration from the best ☺ and I can't wait. So in the meantime Sue, my love n hugs are winging their way to you and I hope your day is as lovely as you are xxx

This was one of the favourites from the last release, so happy and springlike.

June, isn't it fabulous card making with granddaughters, one of my favourite things too. Because they live in Sydney, my granddaughter is only here a few times a year but as soon as she arrives she disappears to the craft room and some very happy memories are created every time.

Beautiful! Anyone would love to receive this I'm sure. Daffodils are one of my favourite flowers, they are so cheerful. What a truly beautiful card today, it uplifts the soul just to see it.
Pam, I hope all goes well at work today.
June S, how lovely reading about your granddaughter giving the card to her dad because she couldn't wait. It's such a joy.
Elaine, I hope all the family are keeping well. Mmm you have the Nurse's uniform so I couldn't be so cruel as to deprive you of that office, Norah can be the eye candy and I'll be the maid as I resemble Julie Walters in Acorn Antiques, I could even wear the sporting headband and wrap around apron, spilling the soup as I walk along ha ha. Oh this could be such fun and Mr L won't know what's hit him!!! Poor George just sits and shakes his head when I tell him what we've planned lol.
Myra, I have circled in red ink yesterday's date on my calendar. The date that your flabber has been ghasted is truly a date to remember ha ha.

  103. Hi Sue,

Clean, simple and fresh, as Izzy said. Love the colors, the embossed background and the Daffodils as well. I have the basket and the new set is on the long-long wish list. I will watch the video later.

Pam, Elaine, Frances, Myra – Thank you for your prayers ...The Kid was scheduled for 9AM.We didn’t have any news until 3PM when he texted to his boss that the doctors postponed the procedure for tomorrow. One of the surgeons had another surgery that took longer than expected and by the end of that surgery he was too tired to do another one. This is understandable but what we didn’t understand why nobody notify the Kid sooner. He was there waiting for so many hours. I have no words. You can imagine how he feels. I feel so sorry for him.
June – The cards that you made together with your grand-daughter will become very happy memories for both of you.
France – My headache is on and off. I tried to ignore it because I was too busy at work. Hope to be able to relax now. Tomorrow will be another crazy day.

Hugs to you all, including to our poorly and missing friends,
