Stained Glass Collection

Hi crafters!  The third and final Stained Glass design is the Bonsai.  Shown here done in and alcohol ink background, the bonsai design has a decidedly more masculine feel to it and for good reason.  I am always asked for dies for our guy cards so I decided to add a design that could easily be used for a variety of occasions and could easily be done to give to the most discerning male as well.  Hopefully you can see how easily these designed will be able to lend themselves to different techniques and products.  Imagine pixie powders or gilding polishes, micro beads or mica powders, they will all look fabulous as stained glass backgrounds.  Leave a comment if you would like to be entered into the drawing for this one.  The final post for today is at 6pm.  All for now, Sue x

    This is gorgeous Sue, my first thought was that you had used pixie powders but I see you have used alcohol inks. I can't easily choose between these three dies in the stained glass collection - I might have to buy all three.

    Hi Sue, what an ending to a fabulous trio of stained glass panels. I love both the alcohol ink background (I can do this, yes!) and the font on the Birthday Wishes. The bonsai tree makes a great card for men but would also be suitable for ladies just by altering the colouring medium.

    This is absolutely gorgeous. I love Bonsai trees but have never been successful with them. Best to stick to paper Bonsai in future methinks LOL. Perfect for male cards which I always find difficult.

    As you say Sue these dies are so versatile because there are so many different techniques you can try & each will give a completely different look.     What a delightful die, I love a Bonsai Tree and I totally agree with your own assessment that it would make a perfect male orientated card. I love the autumnal colours created with the alcohol inks, very rich and evocative and perfectly suited to this particular die. I am very happy with the Stained Glass Collection, and i will be purchasing them quick smart. You are so clever Sue, you never disappointxxx

    Yes this stained glass range is a winner, so versatile, with the ability to use so many mediums with them. Also they are small enough to make very quick cards too, and for those hard to do male ones!

    I think the Bonsai Tree die would work great for a sympathy card too..... Love the Stained Glass collection but especially the butterfly one and this one. They seem easy to use, don't require a bunch of layering on the card, and like you said, you can do so many different techniques with the background. BRAVO! Sue, these are some winners. Now i just need to try to win one myself.
