Finishing Touches



Hi bloggers!  The next Finishing Touches range die on offer is the Queen Anne's Lace die set.  Shown in the sample here, you can see how beautifully it can be used to create a stunning focal element.   The die set has three different sized Queen Anne Lace dies in it so you can do so much with them.  Don't they look lovely just used in a vase?  Think about using them with your other floral elements as accents too.  I have added a little bit of Iced Snow to them to really give them texture and a bit of bling.  Please feel free to pin this card or any others that may have caught your fancy during the blog launch so you can refer back to them later.  The Pin button is available at the bottom of each post for you to use.  Leave a comment on this post and you will be automatically entered into the drawing to win this die set.  The next blog post is set to arrive at 3pm today so I hope you can pop back by to have a look.  
Just a quick reminder too, that I have a one hour show on Hochanda starting at 3pm today as well  It is showcasing the Fillable Collections, the Fishbowl and the Porthole and their accessories sets.  I hope you can join me then too!  If you are outside the UK, you can watch the show live on your computer at www.hochanda.com at 3pm UK time or later on it will be available on their Catch Up feature.   All for now, Sue x

    Oh, my....this card brought back memories of my Mom. That vase looks like what she called milk glass. She had a vase that looked much like this one. Anyway, love the Queen Anne dies...so pretty as a focal item or accents. Nice.

    Ohh Sue this sample is delightful. I'm being completely honest now as you know that's who I am, but when I saw this on the pre launch the picture didn't excite me so thought I'd think about it. Since then I've seen a member on the fb group use it and now your gorgeous sample and it's no longer a maybe, it's a need ! You've said many a time the packaged picture doesn't do the actual die justice and how right you are lol this is just a necessity to use with your floral dies and yet again it's making my pea sized craft brain whirl with idea's so thank you for giving it the jault it needed. Now then, how come you tear us between blog and tv ? How's that happened ?! I'm recording anyway but nowt better than watching live, so I'll be back an hour after your next scheduled post, I'm sure you'll understand ☺ have a great show. Love n hugs xx

    Afternoon Sue. WOW WOW WOW What a very clever and stunning card. The white on white is always a favourite, they look very elegant. Loving these flowers and vase both of these dies are a must have and are going to mix with all of your other flower finishing touches. The texture on the flowers and vase is gorgeous.     Queen Anne's Lace is a special flower to me, many fond memories so I absolutely love these dies. They would also make beautiful silhouettes on your other floral card. This die set is on my list.

    I just love the Queen Ann's Lace and what a wonderful card you have made with it. We have wonderful Queen Ann's Lace down the lanes close by our house but I never heard it called it by the name since we have come to live in England and wonder why? I have only heard it called as Cow's Parsley. What ever name it goes by I am definite going to have it. Thanh for all your sharing Sue

    Erica - Although the name Queen Anne's Lace is recognised here I think you will find most older and/or country people will know it as either Fools Parsley or Bishop's Weed. Please correct me anyone if I am wrong. Whatever the name, it is lovely to look at just like Sue's dies and card.

    That's a lovely die. Queen Anne's Lace is a lovely name for it. In the area where I live we call it Cow Parsley! Not so pretty name, but still a lovely flower.

    Good afternoon Sue. This is a beautiful die although I must confess I have never heard this flower called by this name, only by the name of Cow Parsley. Queen Anne's Lace is a much nicer name and in my opinion more fitting for this delicate flower.

    Love Queen Anne's Lace - in another month our drive will be smothered in it. Lots of people look on it as weed but it is so pretty and dainty - related to the carrot. Great die, Sue, and a pretty card.

    I love the Queen Anne's Lace die. It reminds me of the beautiful clusters of them that you see growing in the National Parks and along the country highways. Yours look gorgeous in the lovely vase with a sprinkling of Iced Snow. This is a must.

    Hi Sue. I think these dies are really special, they will be really great sprinkled among other flower dies in a similar way to how I often use the dandelion clocks to peep out behind other flowers.

    Hello Sue,
    Queen Anne's Lace, Cow Parsley etc etc. My Mum called it Queen Anne's Lace therefore so do I. However she also called it Wild Carrot !!! Wow who said this blog wasn't educational? Anyone else heard it called that! ?
    Whatever - as they say! It is a beautiful Die!
    They all are - how can we possibly decide on a favourite! I'd need about six favourites!
    Have pinned them all with the matching card on a new board ! They have been pinned already! Great news!

    This is my favorite card in the entire April release....it is just so showy with that beautiful vase and Queen Anne's Lace. The background behind the vase is so soft and works great with the softness of the flowers. When I was young my sisters and I would pick Queen Anne's Lace and put it in my mother's vase that looks exactly like the one you've designed, only we'd add food coloring to the water and watch the flowers change color. You are so talented Sue with your die creations. I love using your dies, especially the Noble collection for my shaped cards. This vase is going to look great inside the Ornate Pierced Rectangles. You are such a thoughtful soul, Sue, for thinking of us when designing your dies and also sharing your dies with us in these giveaways. Thank you.
