Best Wishes

Good Sunday morning all!  I have a quickie card to share today and it isn't even very large (by my standards either!).  I started with a piece of the Classic Elegance paper pad and covered it with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I used the out die from the Bruges die set to cut an aperture in it.  I peeled the backing paper off and coated it with clear micro beads.  I added mounting foam to the back to raise it.  With a piece of wisteria card, I cut the decorative centre piece out of it.  Next,  I cut the Bruges die in white and cut the centre out and glued it into place over the decorative cut out in the backing of the wisteria card.  I added the background with the aperture over it and trimmed away any excess from underneath.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the Pierced Flags and attached it across the card.  I made a flower out of the paper left using the Perfect Peony over from the background and attached it at the end of the sentiment flag, seating it on a white seam binding messy bow.  Wisteria and white mats were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 5 1/2" x  6 1/2" in size.

  1. .Happy Sunday Sue, beautiful card to enchant us.
Congratulations to comment game winners. Well done all.
Elaine, good news that Andrew is feeling a little better. A break at the caravan and maybe some fishing will do him the world of good.
Our little twin Jack had his first cookery lesson at school on Friday, he made apple crumble and brought grandma some yesterday. It was lovely although he doesn't eat anything like that. He is a reluctant cook whereas Ryan loved his 6 months. No apron card for him then. They really are so different, height, personalities.
CraftySue, sorry about your bad news, but good positive attitude regarding your crafting.
Nearly time for the Gang of Nine meeting up, hope everyone especially Norah will be well enough for it.
Laine and Yvonne, you are both awfully quiet, missing you gals.
Hugs to all especially our poorly and missing friends.
Tina and NannaTina, thinking of you both.

  7. Sleepy Sunday smiles coming to you Sue. I've read and re-read the 'how to' on this beautiful delicate card above, my eyes have had a few very long blinks, and I've had so many 'head bobs ' that I feel I now have whiplash lol I keep mis-reading my clock so when I see 5am both me and the dog get up only to realise that when my eyes focus properly it's really 4am ! Once I'm up that's it, I'm up !! So I thought of our Sam and the boys knowing they get up at this silly O clock too. Now I have the problem that all my brain cell is seeing is paper piecing ! I can't get to grips with the instructions which gives me the perfect reason to come back and visit this beauty later - quite a bit later ! It's a real beauty Sue I love to see your papers included, it really does add to the delicacy. I shall congratulate the winners and send you a big hug hoping you're having a fabulous time. I shall now click the 'publish' button as I actually started my post at 6am !! That was a massive blink !!! xxx

Another gorgeous card from you too. The dies, colours, etc are fantastic and the flowers oooh, stunning. I had forgotten all about making them with patterned papers.

Patricia provided us all with some patterned flowers and gave us a demo of her roses at the very first Cotswold Café Retreat in 2015, which was the precursor of the Gang of 9's meet-ups that take place now.

I am in my craft room today so will try my best at my version of your card.

  85. Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

Superb little corker! Some people really appreciate a dinkier card for postage and practical reasons....i personally like them big and bold as well....so this little card will appeal to many. How nice to see clear micro beads again, they look really effective over your gorgeous lilac patterned paper, adding a little bit of texture to the proceedings....love the flower created with the matching paper too. Beautiful card Sue, thankyou for yet more valuable inspirationxxx
So sorry for my inexcusable absence of the past couple of days, its been hectic and at times positively manic but i was determined to find some me time to devote to the blog this weekend. I do hope that i havent missed too much and that everyone is happy and well:-)
Watching the final of Crufts just now, as you know i am a die hard cat person but i do love to see the various breeds of canine at their peak....the love and appreciation everyone concerned has for animals is lovely to behold.
P, that reminds me, i have been praying furiously for little Harry and i so hope it helps him and you. Brodie appears to have had an altercation, he returned home with a matted ear with fur missing....all my Mum could say to him was "did you win baby?" :-)
Had a bit of a splurge yesterday, John was very persuasive with Sues dies....not that i needed any convincing!....it is really great to see them in action with a professional though i would have much preferred Sue to be demonstrating he did a good job. I bought the Arched window and accessories bundle, the bundle with the two frames and tags dies and Crysanthamum die plus the two pinpoint EFs and scene stamps for the window die....well, i had been feeling a little deprived of late and went slightly mental, besides, who knows when my Mum will next be so accommodating?
Elaine, hope the weather was kind for Andrew today and he managed to get his rod out:-)
Saba, still stroking that rope are we?:-)
Yvonne, good to catch up, even if it was only briefly its the quality of the chat that counts! Hope you are recovering nicely still and maybe we can have a lengthier bitchfest soon:-)
Pam, glad you enjoyed your apple crumble, i was promised some today and got jam and coconut sponge instead....still feeling mildly disgusted, nay annoyed! Hope you are well, thanks for missing me, you're all on your own there though i think:-)
Myra, hope you are okay dear, pass on my love to Maureen, miss her....
Carmen, have you been lost without me? I know, it was wrong of me to put you through the unnecessary pain and heartache, but I'm back now honey so you can stop crying:-)
Huge hugs to Pat, Maria, Frances, Norah and the Naughty Nine, Deb C, tracy, June, Lynda and anyone else in need of a hugxxx

    Love and crafty hugs

Such a lovely card, a bit smaller than usual but beautiful nonetheless. The Classic Elegance paper makes a lovely background and a stunning flower. Add micro beads and a messy bow, a stunning die and wisteria card and you get a little masterpiece! Thank you Sue.

Pam how proud Jack must have been serving up his crumble to his granny, a lovely memory for you to keep tucked away.
Myra when people tell you to count sheep they don't expect you to cut them out first!
Laine good to have you back, penniless though you now are. I've given up stroking my rope, I just kiss it goodnight now!
Yvonne get well soon, hope chatting to Laine hasn't set you back.

Pam – He really loves his granny! I am sure that even a short visit from twins makes granny happy, right Pam?
Laine – Sorry to be so late here, I watched Broadchurh ...I have my priorities! So ... you are back! I didn’t know we have such a strong connection ...you felt my pain, tears ... Oh Laine, you are a very sensitive person! Yes, I am in pain. My whole right side is in pain (head, ear, neck and shoulder) since Friday. It was really cold in the office. The A/C is not my BF. Wait a second ... did you think that pain and tears were because I missed you? Oh, petal (this is from Broadchurch!)! I am not blaming you for dreaming ...To dream is free ... so far.
Yvonne – Hope you feel better. We miss you.

    Best wishes everyone,
