Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hello there my crafty friends!  How about a milk and black card colour combo?  I started with the background and this was achieved by cutting the decorative die from the Linear Elegance Edger several times across a piece of milk card.  I attached a piece of sticky adhesive sheet to the back and coated it with Diamond Sprinkles for a tonal bling.  Next, I used the outer shape from the Fiji die set and cut an aperture into the background.  I added mounting foam to the background to raise it and attached it over another piece of milk card.  I cut the Fiji die in black and used the inner ring from the Bora Bora set for detail and recessed in down into the aperture.  I used the Tahiti die to create a small frame out of milk card for my stamped sentiment and seated it in the centre of the black Fiji die cut.  Using both sets of the Double Pierced Noble Rectangles, I created a multi layered frame out of both milk and black card and seated over the entire background with foam.  I used the Striped Nasturtiums cut out of milk and black as accents in opposite corners of the frame.  The Family Tree die was cut and added as embellishment to the florals.  Milk and black mats were added to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are  6 3/4"  x 8" in size.    Leave a comment on this post if you would like to be entered into the drawing to win this one!  The winner will be announced on Saturday's blog post.

There are still five unclaimed dies from the winners list that I posted on Monday.  Please scroll down to check it if you haven't already.  All for now, Sue x

  4. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, oh what a lovely giveaway card this morning, how can you bear to part with it, someone is going to be a very luck person to receive this. I really love the octagon (might be wrong word) shapes, they make a lovely frame for a sentiment, and I have used them a couple of times on recent cards, they go down really well.

Lorraine, I was sorry to read about your rotten experience at the Blackpool Hotel which was a present from your son, what a horrible memory to take away with you.

Colin has to have an extraction but the main nerve is running so close to it that our own Dentist said it needed a specialist to get it out, he has been waiting for 9 months for an appointment at the Medway hospital and the last time I spoke to them he was not even on the waiting list, amazingly enough they have a list waiting to go on the waiting list, what is our NHS coming too, anyway the dentist asked if we would travel to somewhere else and the outcome was that we had to go to West Sussex, they were lovely, and he should get the appointment for the extraction within 6 weeks with just a local anaesthetic. Thank you everyone for asking about him.

Tina how lovely that we both won one of John's dies, mine is the stacking tea cups.

Elaine, how did you get on at drs. How is Andrew and Helen doing??

    Welcome back Saba.

I have check up with consultant this afternoon regarding my knee, hope all goes well.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  15. Dear Sue and fellow followers,

Lovely how the straight lines of Linear Elegance set off the graceful curves of the Fiji and Striped Nasturtiums.

Tomorrow is my last full day in Arizona. Madly trying to make cards for whenever my Dad needs to send one. That's the best embellishment I could add to a card, for it to be from him.

It was a perfect day here, sunny but not too hot. We walked a mile around the streets of the RV park, seeing rabbits and flowers, hearing birdsong and finishing up at Fat Freddy's for Taco Tuesday. Ate outside in a shady nook near the watercolor painting studio and the quilting room. It was the kind of day we earn maybe once a year in the north, after suffering through months of winter and mud.

    Sending sunshine your way,

    Love,
    Donita

A really beautiful and elegant card I really love this one.
I have been missing for far too long and it has been one of my New Years must do things to return, which I have delayed due to the latest release of your wonderful dies, I did not want to encourage adverse comments from some people saying some return only for a chance to win a die.
I have no wish to cause upset here or to you as it is thanks to your very special blog I now have the most wonderful set of friends with whom I meet up with twice each year for a few days and am in contact each and every day. They are all so very special to me, we all share the highs and lows of life together in a special, loving and very supportive way, This is all thanks to you and your blog for which we are all so grateful Sue.

  127. Good afternoon, Sue I really love today's card it's beautuful. Been delivering boxes of biscuits to the chemo unit at Nine wells. I still do this every month after now nearly 5 years since my treatment finished, I use the profit from The pendants Patricia and I made and still make that so many of your followers bought after you told the story behind the pendant you wore on your show. Others were bought by lovely ladies I have meet throungh here. Today the nurses at the unit couldn't believe that I am still doing this with the support we got from these lovely ladies that have and still comment on here.
Margaret, like you I made up my mind to do this once the die launch was over and if goggle behaved and let me in.
Saba, you will be on the naughty step if you don't get those flights booked.

Congratulations to all the winners announced on Monday. Enjoy your dies. To the rest of us, better luck next time.

Hope you are all keeping safe and warm. It's about 28 degrees centigrade here at the moment but was warmer earlier.

  152. Hi Sue. Ooooh WOW, WOW, WOW !!! Today's card is absoulutely stunning !!! I love the black and cream colour combo. I have the Linear Edger die and it is fab. I have not yet created an all over background with it so I really must give it a try. The Pacific Ocean dies you have used are very elegant in their design. This whole collection is all gorgeous Sue !!! I love how you have made parts of the card raised up and other parts recessed down. It adds so much interest to the card and looks very clever and professional. Your Nasturtium flowers are beautiful and the leaves from your new Family Tree die set compliment them perfectly. l am loving the frames you have made from the Noble rectangle dies to, with the thin little black frame to tie in with the rest of the card. This is such a beautiful, stunning card to give away Sue. Thank you for sharing it. Lots of love to you today Sue from Tres x x x
