Congratulations

Hi bloggers!  I've used the inside die from the Butterfly Frame to make this pretty buckle card!  I started by embossing a wide strip of coconut white card with the Dot Matrix Pinpoint embossing folder.  I added a black strip to the top and bottom edges that had a circle design cut out using the trim from the Butterfly Edger die set.  I matted the entire piece on to a wider piece of teal card.  For the focal element, I cut the inside die from the Butterfly Frame three times out of coconut white card.  I backed each of them with teal card and used the smaller square die to cut them into frames.  I cut a long thin strip of white card and wove it between the three frames which I used in a diamond orientation.  I stamped my sentiment and covered it with sticky adhesive piece, peeled the backing off and added a teal frame cut from the Charlotte die set over the top.  I sprinkled Diamond Snow inside the frame over the sticky adhesive and mounted it in the centre of the buckle area.  I added three small pearls to the strip on either side and to a few areas on the die cuts.  White, teal and black mats were added to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 6" x  9" in size.

I still have two winning dies that have not been claimed.  The Easter Basket was won by Lynn Dalby and the Laced Heart was won by Sassy (Sandra Smith).  If anyone knows them, can you please have them get in touch to claim their prize.  All for now, Sue x

Thank you for kind comments ladies, happy to help.
June great news re consultant, you are definitely on the mend.
Saba, of course you are the quietest, did your nose grow a little?
It is such fun to read all of your comments about the meet up, I can picture the hilarities that will abound.
Tina, my friend, I'm glad you seem to be doing better, it's little things like spending time with a friend or relative that help.
Elaine, hope Andrew is feeling better, not long to go now and the horrible treatment will be over, it's always the end where it has the biggest effect on you . Big hugs and thoughts to him and you.
Donita, hope you had a good journey home, you will miss Dad and he you but you have made such good memories.
Norah, jack told me yesterday he loves his bed and doesn't want to get out of it, big change from the boy who couldn't sleep. I bought him a memory foam mattress as he loves mine. And he makes his bed as soon as he gets up. Kelly can't believe it.
My hugs and good wishes to all, especially our missing friends, where are you Laine, Yvonne and Wheeley X

  79. Hi Sue, a lovely buckle card very suitable for those pesky men and I like the clean linear look to it. Teal and white is always a winner for me and as others have said, the addition of a few flowers would dress it up for our lady friends.

'P' - I do hope you find your tiny leaves, they will be hiding where you least expect them to be. I know that I have on occasion inadvertently left a die between the plates and popped them back in the drawer only for it to be discovered the next time I go to cut something.

We had a frost first thing which cleared nicely but then it started snowing. Luckily because the ground was so wet it came to nothing and I am keeping my fingers crossed that we don't get any more. Hope all our missing friends are well and just having a rest.

  83. Hello Sue,
Lovely clean card today, the colours are beautiful.
Pam, when my granddaughters were old enough to go into a bed, I turfed out the double bed and bought two singles for them (for when they have sleep overs at my house) as I thought they'd keep each other awake if they slept in the same bed. We had to push the beds together so that they could cuddle one another (when not fighting!) and they also have memory foam toppers. They say their beds here are the best EVER!!!
Hope all the lovely ladies and Andrew who are poorly, bereaved or lonely are feeling better today. Laine and Yvonne, we miss you.

  86. Love this card! Truly fine in every way! Someday, perhaps, you will come out with a line of just the most useful inside dies from some of your larger sets. This would be one of the best.
Well I'm still in Arizona. My flight from Denver to Boston was canceled because of a big snow storm. They had thunder snow! All the Friday flights were already full, so I'll be going home Saturday. My cousin very generously put me up in the room of her older son who is off at college, and she's hauling me around. I get to spend the day with their sweet dog. Yesterday I found a paper crafting store and went there on a bus pass and a public transport app. It was 85 degrees and sunny. Today the dog and I will make Valentines without the new dies waiting for me at home.
    Enjoy your Friday!

I didn't meet up with my Mum on Wednesday, we did it yesterday instead. Boy did I pay for that little outing. Not helped by having to make a pie after that. The standing, even with a perching stool is so painful.

What an inspired idea for a buckle card! I have the butterfly Die but using it in this way just wouldn't have occurred to me! It's lovely and as has been said could be adapted for male/ female and different occasions! Thank you!
Pat L - thanks for telling us about Sarah getting her Blue Peter Badge! Well done Sarah! Hope all goes well on her next visit to GOSH.
Pam - it was worth giving the bed just to have it made!!! It made me smile - aren't children lovely! Well most of them are! Lol!
It's a lovely bright sunny day here today but very cold! The snowdrops and crocuses look lovely though!
P in Wales - so sorry about your leaves! I do hope they turn up! I've found tiny ones stuck to the underside of a magnetic sheet or even to other bigger Dies ! It's so disappointing when things like that happen.
Elaine - I'm glad I made you smile . I was a bit concerned you would all think we were causing a breach of the peace and about to be put under arrest!
Well, I'm off to continue to tidy my Craft Room which looks ten times better than it did yesterday!

  109. Hello Sue,
Fabulous card, the Butterfly background inner die used like this makes a super buckle card, it looks very Art Deco to me. I Love the border with the dots from the edger die, I hadn't realised the butterfly edger had that in the set. Sadly I don't have either sets but It's such an inspirational design, that it is definitely one to try with some of your other sets which I do have. Thank you Sue.

Pam my nose may have grown just a tiny bit! Glad Andrew loves his bed, makes it all worthwhile.
CraftySue, we do have a brilliant time together, telling your grandchildren never to meet someone you met on the internet is tricky though!
P- I do hope your leaf turns up, bet you were tearing your hair out.
Donita love the idea of your cousins dog helping you craft, sorry about your flight though.
Pat L well done to Sarah, hope all goes well in April.
Lorraine sorry you are suffering today, hope your walk was alright.
Margaret did you have to mention my flights, Maureen might spot it !!!
    Love and hugs for all
    Saba.

  116. Hello Sue.

Great Card. I really like the inside die from The Butterfly Frame die set, it is so useful and looks great as a buckle card. I love the colour scheme and think this card would be great for a male Card. Thanks for sharing.

I have not been on the blog for a few days and had not seen the post about launch die winners. Thank you so much for reposting for me to get in touch, I have sent an email. Thank you for your consideration.

    Best wishes

  125. Evening Sue
Oh my - what a fabulous card. The colour is wonderful and I really need to treat myself to that die x
Besides the beautiful butterflies, the centre can be used as a stand alone feature in its own right x
Still have not decided what I am going to treat myself to out of the new launch but really need to get a wiggle on because my list is increasing daily! x
So sorry for my absence. I spoke to Laine on Tuesday evening and asked if she was okay. She had spent a long time on Monday evening writing her detailed comment only to have it disappear into the comment abyss. How frustrating is that? Well the exact same thing happened to me on Tuesday after I had spoken to her. To say I was miffed is an understatement! I had explained that I had a couple of busy days so may not manage to comment for a couple of days - well anyway - here I am x
You will have to excuse my lack of knowledge as to what is going on in your worlds folks but I am late and really need to take myself to bed x
I will finish by sending happy thoughts and lots of love to everyone especially my lovely blog besties - you know who you are. I am out partying tomorrow - my best friend is 50 so it will be a late night. I will try and pop in during the day but can't promise x
    Take care
