You're Special To Me

Hi bloggers!  I completely missed this card so thought it should have it's day on the blog!  I started with a piece of coconut white card and embossed it with the Blossom Brocade embossing folder for texture.  I added out white pearl corners into each corner too for a bit of decoration.  Next I cut the Double Pierced Noble Circles and made a frame.  While still in the die, I inked it with Chic Viola Colour Cloud ink, leaving a pretty white edge when I removed it from the dies.  I added mounting foam to the back of the frame to raise it.  I cut eight of the Ornamental Accents die in white and added them so the wider end stuck out from the edge of the circular frame and the ends all touched in the centre of the frame.  I added it to the centre of the card.  I cut the Gillian die in white and then cut a backing in white that I inked with Chic Viola to match the frame.  I seated it in the centre of the frame and stamped a sentiment that I cut out with a smaller die from the Noble set.  The card was completed with a white on white pierced mat and layer.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Beautiful start to a cold Minday, brightens my morning.
Lynda, good luck for today, I'll be thinking of you Hun. I'm sure they will look after you very well.
Tina, no rest yesterday, I made 3 Christmas cakes, fruit soaking fior another 2. You started me off with the steak and potato pie, so my steak cooked yesterday, pie today. Hope Peter enjoyed his.
Tracey, big hugs for this week, just take it easy, one day at a time.
Sharon and June, I know the problem with the 2 sticks, I always felt better with one but used to get to,d off by physio. The sleep pattern is me too but I have been like that for a long long time.
Elaine, I hope Andrew hears something this week. He needs to know they are taking this seriously.
Robbie, my nephew, is doing very well, studying at College and living on Campus. He will never be well, his internal organs haven't begun to heal even after nearly 3 years but he won't give in, he is amazing.
Hugs to all, keep warm and safe. Especially Tina and Mick

  5. Morning Due. To you the sentiment is returned ten fold.
I feel I've seen this before but when I think back its one that the very talented Beverly from facebook has shown I'm sure. It's very difficult to tell you apart as she shared your brain for stunning beautiful work. This is no exception and I can't think of a nicer way to start my week (other than waking up in a nice warm country ) !! Me and my body hate this time of year.
So hugs and love coming your way as usual Sue and hope your day is a good one.

Who would have thought 3 years ago that Robbie would have even got half way to what he's achieved. You have a remarkable nephew Pam xxx

From a dark and wet Hull!
Beautiful card today, have seen this on your YouTube channel I believe. It looks crisp like a frosty morning.
Pam , you are one busy lady! When my mum and dad where alive I used to make Christmas cakes for them and my aunt and uncle. Peter will eat a bit but then gets wasted. More of a chocolate cake with fresh cream and chocolate on the top.
He enjoyed his steak and potatoe pie and ate it all and enjoyed it. He has an individual one for tonight.
June Smith- I found by using a stick to help my knee pain I was excentuating the pressure on the other leg so they are now both bad. Listen to your physio - they are supposed to no best - haha!!!!
Elaine - hope your complaint is soon sorted, I know from working for a GP for 20 years before I retired they take time, but are very thorough.
Love and crafty hugs to all

  97. Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

What a truly beautiful card, love the colour scheme and the Gillian die makes a stunning focal point.
Ive been quite preoccupied over the weekend, spent far too many hours sweating over Andy Murray in the ATP Tour Finals so not much housework, cardmaking or anything else for that matter done....thankfully he won with relative ease after a rather sticky match on Saturday but i am emotionally drained from my ordeal:-)
No Christmas cards made today either i'm afraid, spent the day having my roots zapped....can't have my hair giving away my age when my face does it so well:-) Did a spot of Christmas shopping....what to get a 10 yr old girl and 5yr old boy though? Decided upon something useful, fluffy sequinned and sparkly jumper for the girl and an equally fluffy one with a starship on it for the boys, its so hard when they have loads of toys and gadgets to know what to buy nowadays.....it was soap on a rope and an annual when i was a kid!
Lynda, good luck with your operation today and recovery, hope all goes well for you and you're back on your feet soonxxx
June, hope your recovery is moving along nicely, hugsxxx
Pam, has your chest infection started to clear yet? Robbie is a truly inspirational young man, he will achieve much in life with his determination.
Maria, hope you are well and those injections have given you some relief, hugsxxx
Wheely, hope you and Billy are both well and not suffering from this cold weather.
Yvonne, I'll summon up my nerve and strengthen my tolerance levels and perhaps give you a call in the next couple of days, i know you've had a challenging week but i'm afraid that that won't stop me treating you with the disdain, nay contempt, you deserve, no more Miss Nice Guy, it's gone on long enough now and our friends on the blog expect more:-)
Tina, i want to adopt you as my Mum, she refuses to cook anymore saying that she's done more than enough in her life so I'm looking for an appropriate replacement. I have a four bedroomed house .....when i get rid of said mother.....so Peter is welcome to come too:-)
Tracy, hope you're feeling a bit better and work is good, stick in there honey just think of all the dies you can buy with your wages:-)
Myra, sending huge hugs right back at youxxxx
Yet more hugs winging their way to my other besties, P, Pat, Maureen, theresa, Frances, Alison, Norah and anyone else i may have forgotten....my solitary brain cell is struggling today!
