Good morning all! We are starting off with the Shadow Box collection this morning. Shown here, the In The Garden Shadow Box has a lovely crisscross detail around each of the box openings. I have created this shadow box with the inside cutting edges attached so you will have all the opening cut out with just a single pass through your machine. The die is packed full of gardening ides that can be used with or without the actual shadow box as well. I have created this sample using kraft card for a more rustic look to it, but there are just so many more things you can do with it too! Leave a comment if you like the look of this set. The next post will be winging it's way to you at noon today. Morning Sue. Too cold and frosty for me to leave the house today so Grandad has left to drive to Halifax to look after his little Lottie. She's getting there thanks Pam c
ReplyDeleteThat leaves nanny in the position to keep up today. This little beauty is anything but cold and frosty and rather than start my 6 months of home detention it takes me back to spring. What a beautiful retirement card this would make Sue. My reason for picking that occasion for this die is how many times do you hear "I'll have more time to garden now I'm retired" (unless you're a card making addict) hey Sue, a crafters shadow box ? What do you think of that idea ? Anyway now my mind is running riot of all the different hobbies that need a shadow box, its too early. I fell head over heels in love with my first shadow box which was the New Additions, this may be on top of the new list, but first i have to keep telling myself.... PEIRCED NOBLES !!!!

Yvonne, you are becoming a real early bird (do you play Bingo in your spare time) - I know what it is like when you can't sleep, I laid in bed awake since 4 this morning then finally got up (I knew the blog was ready at 6), try and have a cat nap today it might help.
Thanks Tina T yes it is getting better, but still leaking a bit, I am not due to go out until Friday for a hospital appointment so when the nurse comes today she might decide to leave the dressing off to see if it will heal over with the air getting to it. You sound like you have a fantastic GP who is so supportive, let's hope the Oncologist can suggest some treatment, hope Peter is not in too much pain.

Wow Sue, this is gorgeous and looks great in the kraft card. I love the little embossed crosses - they look a bit like cross-stitch. Hmmm, I have some sewing-related stamps which could work well in the apertures. Also have John's herb stamp set. You've got my head buzzing with ideas now!

ReplyDeleteIts no secret that i love the shadow box concept, it is just so effective and ticks so many boxes...sorry, bad joke....how great is it that you are constantly adding to the range, giving us more and more options to cater it specifically to the lucky recipient. I love when this card, it's also cute, the kraft card compliments the theme perfectly giving a rustic feel to the finished article....the mini dies are gorgeous, the little ladybird is so sweet, it will be perfect for many keen gardeners amongst us of which there are many. Looking forward to the rest of the shadow box range of accessories...spoiler alert!
June, such a shame that you are struggling to get an uninterrupted nights sleep, thankfully though, your wound is healing, hope letting the air circulate will solve the leakage issue.
Yvonne, well i nearly had a cardiac arrest at seeing your comment so early this morning, pity that you're still struggling to sleep though honey, hope that doesn't mean you'll be too tired to bitch with me tonight? Hope all goes well with the GP later, glad the locks are finally changed though.
Good news for my brother, his job is under threat since the office is being closed, he's been on borrowed time for months and desperately applying for other jobs...well, just like buses, two have come along at once, one for the justice department and one for Her Majesty's Cusom and Excise Dept:-), i'm so pleased for him because he's been really struggling lately.

I make very few baby cards so didn't have a need for those although they are lovely! Gardening and girly things - different altogether! I like how you have used Craft card as I always forget to use that! This has gone on my List! I think I need a Shadow Box , don't you??

ReplyDeleteHi Sue, I managed to have a quick look at this card earlier whilst making my husband's breakfast and I squealed with delight. I love, love, love it - that is my sister's and cousin's birthday cards sorted for next year! All the little elements are gorgeous and although I know lots of people don't like ladybirds (especially if they come in the house and nest in the window frames) I have always loved them. Many years ago when I was a Girl Guide my camp name was Ladybird and my mum, a good artist, painted lots of them onto my tuck tin; I was so proud. Using kraft card is ideal and I am already seeing touches of raffia or seed packets poking out. I think this one may well be my favourite.
