  1. Beautiful card. Lovely.
Tracey, hope you weren't too tired after your early start yesterday. Be good and take it easy.
June, so sorry that you are still in pain. If the walking stick is easier for you try it, I always preferred it to the crutch whilst I was recovering.
Sharon, hope you are feeling better.
Tina, perfect idea to get the Sue dies, every time you use them you will be reminded of your lovely friend, and a little treat for Peter too.
Elaine, I am full of admiration for Andrew, he is a strong minded man.
To the ladies meeting at Watford, have a great time.
Hugs to all esoecially poorly and missing friends. Tina and Mick, thinking of you.

  12. Good morning Sue and crafters all,
Lovely card, beautiful die and in traditional Christmas green colours, the opaque white colour cloud over the top gives it a misty look.
Pam - how are you today?
We had an up and down day yesterday, Peter decided he was going to bed early , so I watched the darts and went to bed then at 12 o'clock he decided he would like porridge and treacle, so being the good wife got up to do it.
June Smith - sorry you are in pain , hope the walking stick is better for you.
Love and crafty hugs to all,

  19. Morning Sue. That's my two just out for a very wet and muddy first walk of the day, which means peace and quiet for me to get my Tuesday dose of video inspiration which I so look forward to. Now I've completed my orders all apart from stamping Phills verses inside, I can hopefully find the enthusiasm to make more festive cards to add to my market basket. I have just about two weeks to top them up, but you and anyone that reads this may think I'm totally weird or something along those lines, but festive cards for me are becoming less enjoyable to make each year !! WHAT - you are probably thinking with ALL the festive dies I bring to you and you have the audacity to say that ! It's all to do with not having the vision, a creative mind nothing to do with the inspiration or tools you give to us it's me. The one customer wanted the same card for her sisters so once I'd had the one card approved by her, it was great to walk into my room knowing exactly what I was going to do which was so refreshing and a first for me lol. That enabled me to complete the second card almost as quickly as you put your samples together plus finish another that I'd cut everything out for but it wasn't what she wanted for her sisters ! Thank goodness I have market baskets lol. So today's beautiful inspiration will give me a helping hand as I have the gorgeous ornate holly octagon die which is so pretty. So I hope I've not offended you in any way Sue when I say about not enjoying making festive cards, plus, it may have something to do with customers at market, they seem so much harder to please this time of year that my confidence takes a hammering. So maybe I'll just concentrate on CAS cards with last year's tree in various colours and backgrounds and last year's star etc, rather than beat myself up for having no crafty vision or imagination !
I'm off to watch your tutorial but before I do I send my usual hug to you and hope you have a good day xxx

  37. Morning Sue - yeh I know - morning!!!!
Wow what a stunning card. So beautiful. The softer green really makes for a lovely focal point x
Will look forward to watching the video later x
And the cards from the last couple of days were amazing x
Well I have been unable to post for a couple of days. My mother in law came for dinner on Sunday and accidentally took my handbag home. I had hung it over the banister at the bottom of the stairs and had put my tablet in there.
I have mislaid my mobile phone (since Sunday). It is on silent somewhere in the house and I'm sure it will turn up!! I accept responsibility for the missing mobile, but when your mother in law decides to steal your tablet then what is a girl to do? Lol x
Anyway, Jake went last night to retrieve the stolen goods but it was late and I was in bed. So here I am, relatively bright and early (and knackered)!!
Pam - glad you are feeling brighter. Can't believe what you said about your employers trying to take action against your colleague! What is wrong with people?! Bet she is counting the days to her retirement x
Tina T - I received a letter a while back from a solicitor regarding the will of an old family friend. At first I thought it was a scam but my brother and sister had one as well. Bittersweet surprise but incredibly touched to have been left a bequest. Early days so the amount is unknown at the moment but to me that is irrelevant - we'll see! Love to you and Peter x
Sharon - hoping you are not so wobbly and moving forward. Baby steps x
Tracy - oh how lovely - a massage. In my past life (lol), when I worked and had money I used to have regular massages. Heaven! Hope the early starts and longer hours are not too much of a struggle. You are amazing x
Maria - want to second everything you said about this blog. It is so much more - love it. Big hugs x
June - really sorry you are in pain. Gentle but warm hugs x

  38. Sorry folks - verbal diarrhoea due to inability to comment for a couple of days so this is part 2!
Lynda - am I imagining things or is your op soon? My brain cell does struggle so forgive me if I am barking up the wrong tree. Hugs x
    Theresa W - I'm good thanks - hugs x
Maureen - one eyed and probably one fingered typing - pretty impressive x
Myra - so Maureen is behaving - what about you x
Laine - can't text at moment but good for a session tomorrow afternoon if you are free. If I find my phone I'll text you. To be honest it's quite nice not having it ring and ping constantly x
OK folks - I know I have probably overlooked some news but oh my goodness it is a struggle to catch up. So I will send you all happy thoughts and lots of love - specially my blog besties and absent friends x
    Take care

  47. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, this is my kind of card today, I love the new octagon holly framed die set, now do you thing that if I am a very good girl that Mr Santa Claus will drop one of these down my chimney on Christmas morning..............

Tina I am sorry to hear that Mick has to have a different feeding tube fitted, I can imagine how worried you are but they will sort things out so that he can gain or maintain his weight. hugs my friend xxx

Pam, please to hear that you are much better.

Tina, oh I bet Peter enjoyed that porridge and treacle, it was a real treat in our house when I was a little girl with the spoons turning around so that the treacle didn't drop back into the tin..........oh memories.

Elaine and Andrew, hugs to you both

Sharon how are you doing, I know it is hard going but we have to persevere and get over this, I hope you are on the mend.

I have been trying to walk with just my walking stick and it is much easier for me, I have even managed to walk to the bathroom without it a couple of times, alright so it might take me a while to walk there but I am determined to get this knee working and the muscles to wake up after being cut open, goodness knows what the physio will say on Monday.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

June, Its good your using your walking stick and really doing well with them, I hope your feeling better in yourself too your doing really well, better than me at the moment.
The physio gave me 2 walking sticks last week which I use indoors but have to use my crutches in the morning as im to wobbly then, but I went out one day last week with my friends for lunch, and must have picked up this flu bug as im feeling really lousy with it at the moment I cant seem to shift it, I'm still doing my exercises so I get the leg better but boy is it an effort at the moment as I dont seem to have an energy.

Pam hoping your feeling better now and antibiotics are working for you and your not getting to much hassle from your work.

Princess pixie thank you still lousy at the moment hopefully it goes soon. Glad you got your tablet back now its hunt the phone next lol.

  119. Hello Sue,
    Beautiful card today, really striking.
PP believe me when I say that I am striking, in fact a sight to behold ha ha.
Myra I can't believe that you are St Myra, I wondered what that was above your head, just thought it was a hat you'd picked up somewhere.
Pat L thank you, Myra is a good social secretary but she gets ideas above her station at times!!!!
Hopefully will get the laptop back tomorrow, I hope so I feel like Nelson, I just need an eye patch.
Love to all who are in pain or having treatment.

  120. Hi Sue. WOW !!! This is a really beautiful card today and a fab video to !!! I love the Ornate Holly Octagon die. I have this die but have not used it yet !!! I have been making Christmas cards with your Poinsettia dies and snowflake dies so far, and will be using this die very soon !!!
I love how you have used the snowflake frame dies ( sorry I can't remember the actual name of this die set.) underneath the Ornate Holly Octagon die. It adds such a lovely double, delicate frame underneath the Octagon. I also love how you have used the white colour cloud through the dies to. It adds such a lovely soft mist to the Brunswick green card. Your tripple Merry Christmas die is great, and you have created a fab effect with it on today's card. I love everything about your card today Sue. Thank you for sharing your beautiful card. Sending lots of love to you Sue from Tres x x x
