Gemini Stepped Border Card

Hi bloggers!  I still get quite a few frequent questions asking how to use the Gemini die range.  Today's video will give you some ideas for use of the Pictor Triple Gemini die and hopefully get your creativity flowing.

The finished dimensions are 7" x
8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Gorgeous card Sue.
Jeanie congratulations on your expected great grandson, bet you can't wait.
Pat L congratulations on the new baby, bet Sarah is delighted.
Tina, how awful for you and Mick, scary too, hope the meds are sorted soon.
Tina T, it's disappointing that Peter is kept hanging on like this, they don't seem to understand the stress this causes.
Laine and Yvonne, we all knew the visit would be good, you too must have been separated at birth you are so like minded.
Elaine, I am full of admiration for Andrew, he is so patient waiting for his treatment.
Tracey, fingers still crossed for you.
    Big hugs to all.

  9. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, beautiful card and video, when I first looked at it I thought oh they look like dragon fly wings, see what pops up into your head.

Thank you to so many people who commented about the twin research, Myra yes it is amazing what has been discovered over the years, Maria, no we are not identical twins, I also have another set of twin sisters, there are only 1 year between us 4, our poor Mum and Dad, they were so proud of us. Tracy, Helen Bell etc.

Elaine - I am pleased that things are moving forward with regards to Andrews treatment but why does it seem to take so long, I agree with Pam that they don't seem to realise what suffering and anxiety they cause by these delays. Hope you caught a big fish for your supper.

Tina - Mick is really going through it lately, hopefully the change in medication will help, keep up the good work with the meals.

Yvonne AKA Princess Pixie and Laine, well I was reading your comments yesterday and you had me in stitches (not counting the 3 in my tummy) I bet it is a laugh a minute with you too, would love to be a fly on the wall, shame about the flight delay etc, but you are all together now, - so you don't have to go out and purchase a new wedding hat then............oh flip.............Continue chilling out together, putting the world to rights and having a wonderful time, bet your looking forward to Sunday, are they prepared for you both that is what I ask myself, should I pre-warn security to expect you, they might even put out the red carpet. x

Maureen - George is an identical twin, are they very close - I know us 4 are, speak almost every day and we know when something is wrong.

Pat so pleased that Sarah is back at school and congratulations on your great nephew, home Mum is feeling a bit better today although she will be sore.

Tina T - I also have osteoarthritis in my knees, and back so cannot stand for very long and of course cannot walk to far, I have had both hips replaced and they are perfect now, no pain from them. I believe that you can also hire mobility scooters from Ally Pally, might be worth investigating that if you ever want to come up, just ring AP themselves and they can advise you. What is happening with Peter's treatment plan, any news or have I missed that.

Have a great day everyone, it is going to be a hot one again.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs June Smith xxx

  31. Morning Sue, hope you've been able to snatch a little of this lovely weather in between all the prep for AP this weekend, talking of which, it's been FAR too long since we've been able to watch your inspirational magic live on air, I do hope the interruptions are few apart from the product numbers that have to be given, as it does spoil the demo's you have planned, and considering we only have one show on Sunday to look forward to its so frustrating if you can't get your one and only demonstration finished, I can't wait to see you at work. Hopefully one day we shall see you visiting the Red rose area, the countryside is sooo pretty and relaxing, will you think about it for us ? Lol.
I'm not fortunate enough to own all the Gemini collection but the two I do have are so useful and enhance our work more than I can explains, like all your dies they can be used in so many ways.
My shadow box, Welcome baby set arrived yesterday, talk about cute, oh my word they are gorgeous. As the weather is so kind to me at the moment we're trying to make the most of it when I'm up to it as it won't be that long before I find myself imprisoned until next spring/summer apart from appointments, so I'm really looking forward as I said yesterday to make a start with my new collection.
May even let you see a sample if I feel it's 'good' enough, on that note, my usual hugs are on their way and hope you have an enjoyable day, with a bit of relaxation in the sun for a few minutes !!! xxx

  51. Hi Sue
A gorgeous card i think pearls make cards extra special, love it ! i will watch your video later with a nice coffee.

    June , Andrew did catch a big fish but not for supper, the fish gets weighed then he has his photo taken before being put back in the pool { the fish are identified, not sure how ? then if the same fish is caught again the fisherman can see how much he has grown , interesting don't you think ?}

Tina T, Awww i do feel for you ,, i know all Hospitals are overworked and very busy .but when it is your loved one time is very precious .

Pam, Yes it causes a lot of stress waiting for Appointments , what i don't understand is the four Consultants who operated on Andrew , had him going to see each one of them on four different dates / weeks to tell him their thoughts on how the op went etc etc . Surly they could have got the information all together for one Appointment with just one Consultant ,so saving a lot of time making more room for other patients ?

Sending big hugs to all who need one.

  60. Hello Sue,
Beautiful card, gorgeous dies and lovely colours. What more could we ask for.
June Smith, they were unbelievably close, although have never had the same medical complaints. We've turned up at my MIL house after we were married and they'd been out to buy identical clothes, cars, you name it - they bought it. Not together and with no discussion, just shopping independently. They don't do that now as I gradually had a bigger say in his clothes shopping ha ha.
Nattyboots, that is interesting about the fish, and much more humane.
PP and Laine, all security is on alert for your visit to AP to make sure none of your admirers and followers bother you. The red carpet is being fitted as I type this!!!
Love to all waiting for appointments, to all who are ill, in pain and their carers.

  87. Good afternoon lovely sue and her crafty crew!

I'm on blog duty today....Yvonne insisted on doing it yesterday because she has this vain hope that she will be the chosen one in sues giveaway....and aren't I the lucky one because today's card is scrumptious. I love the layout, colours and dies used, it has given me plenty of ideas for my Mums birthday card....ill be doing it whilst in Castle Pixie because I don't return home until her big day, what's the bets that pixie powders are involved at some point:-)
Watching the tutorial will have to wait sadly, you see, Yvonne is so full on and demanding, her delusions of grandeur are worse than I had previously anticipated. You joke that she will require a red carpet but she fully expects all of the trappings of royalty at Ally Pally, including a royal box at Sues Hochanda show! I found it mildly amusing in the beginning but two days in and I'm starting to grow weary of humouring her:-)
Yvonne was rather descriptive of my late arrival, but good things come to those who wait I say, so there is little to add other than I was transported by large scooter to the arrival lounge as befits my status, enough said! It was rather thrilling to be escorted by a buff, hunky topless young man, highlight of my stay thus far, but my Mum has been pressurising me to seduce one of the boys so that I'm no longer on her hands, my only misgivings being that Yvonne would make a horrendous MIL and I wouldn't know what to do with a man anymore:-)
We have tried to relax thus far but Yvonne had invited a bevy of guests to introduce to me it was akin to the audience with the Queen, they treated me with the deference I deserve luckily:-), seriously though, they were a lovely bunch of ladies which is surprising considering the company they keep:-) We had white chocolate brownies whilst watching Bake Off.....no, Yvonne hasn't poisoned me yet with her cooking though I do sleep with one eye open:-) I know she's looking to put out the competition given half a chance!
I'm afraid that life is happening at such a speed at the minute I'm quite dizzy, she wants to wear me out before Sunday methinks, so I'm not up to date with all your news. I'll try and catch up given the chance but can't make any promises.
Tina and Micky, so sorry that Mick is still suffering, I hope the antibiotics kick in soon. Thank goodness he's still managing to eat though.
Tracy, good luck with the mammogram, hugs
Maria, hope your scans are favourable, take it easy at Ally Pally but enjoy the experience
Elaine and Andrew, the NHS is crazy at times, wasting money on multiple appointments when one will suffice.
Sending hugs to P, pat, Pam, June, Frances, wheely bad, Theresa, Maria, Maureen, Myra, Norah, Beth, Deb c, Alison and all my blog bestiesxxx
    Have a lovely day

  93. To my crafting friend, Sue. What a joy and surprise in the mail yesterday. There was a box from you. And in that box was a beautiful card by Sue Wilson. On the back of the card was this message, "Emily, I hope this card puts a smile on your face! You are being looked after by everyone on my blog. Best wishes, Hugs, Sue WilsonX." I had told Sue and all of you about Emily's battle with a stem cell transplant. I am very happy to report that the cells that are growing in her little body are her sister's donor cells. The number was like 95% and her body should absorb the other 5% over time. Our sweet Emily is cured and on her way to a full recovery. She has been discharged from Duke, but is still less than a mile from the hospital in an apartment, free of charge from another good soul, for probably another month. Then she will return to Florida and her beloved church and soccer. Her family, friends and people like you in the crafting world have prayed and our God has heard our prayers. Thank you just doesn't say all that we feel. But thank you if you prayed for Emily. And thank you, Sue, for this response. My husband also had a tear in his eye when I told him what it was all about. I will get the card to Emily ASAP and have her mother take a picture and I will post it. THANK YOU. Myra from Florida

Was lovely to read about Emily receiving a card from you that was so touching. U are a very special lady and a very generous one too. Sue any chance u could do a video using the gilding polishes? I can't get the hang of it lol

Lynda b. Ankle is fine I've had worse. Pixie powders still untouched however had a go with the gilding polish wasn't a good start there's obviously a knack to it that I've not got lol.

  106. A lovely card. I like the "cleanness" of blue and white .... probably explains why I like Wedgewood pottery. Thanks for the tip about cutting two parts together, very useful.

Hope to see some of the blog followers down at the CE 'Make and Take' over the weekend where I am helping Tracey out.

    See you tomorrow Sue.

So pleased that Emily's transplant is a success, who knows what the power of thought and prayer can do? Sending her big hugs, and her sister too, for being a very special donor.
Lovely of Sue to send a card for Emily, just so typical of her kindness and I'm sure it's one to treasure.
