Frames And Tags

Hi bloggers!  This blog post is dedicated to the Doodle Rose Wreath.  It is just such a fun die with it's whimsical look.  It has been designed in three different pieces so you can add backing colours to change the look easily.  There is an extra leaf and rose too so you have a way to add a small embellishment to your corners or a sentiment tag quite easily.  Doesn't it look great with the decorative border from the Romantic Edger too?  It just frames the whole card so nicely.  A quick comment is all you need to be entered into this drawing.  This is the final post of the day, but be sure to join us for the last day of the blog launch.  It kicks off at 6am tomorrow morning.  All for now Sue x

  7. Sensational card Sue, you are spoiling us with the latest releases, I don’t know how you think up the new designs but they are fabulous. I can’t wait to see the rest of the latest collection.

Your dies just keep getting better and better. I must get them all but I’m spoilt for choice so they are all going to the top of my MOST WANTED list, although I think the Background dies are my favourites. They can make a card all by themselves with little embellishment.

Enjoyed all the cards you have made from the new collection so far and can’t wait to see more.....

    Thank you, so much Sue,

    Pearl xx

Thank you for a wonderful day of cards and dies. You are indeed a genius. I find it VERY DIFFICULT to pick favourites, but if I had to it would be the Indian Ocean collection and the butterfly background and edgers. But that Madeleine die is so lovely, too....... and the new arrival shadow box dies............ see what I mean??

I am head over heels utterly and butterflies in my tummy mad about in love with this die x
It goes without saying that I love every single die in this launch. I still stand by my decision that I will add all the new arrivals collection to my stash first. But, I think the Doodle Rose Wreath has edged its way to the top of my list and is my favourite by the tiniest of margins. The stitched Doodle flowers are joint favourite I think but it is an incredibly close thing x
I am so excited to see what you have in store for us over the next few weeks on the blog. You always surprise us with your interpretation and out of the box ideas. Really hoping we will have some 'in the flesh' examples and inspiration next weekend at Ally Pally x
Last day of the launch tomorrow which of course is disappointing but you have really pulled out all the stops and more x
Boys are back in high spirits so dinner is imminent. Only 2 more sleeps and Laine will be on her way. There is a certain amount of concern surrounding the fact that I met Laine on the internet. Jake is convinced she is an axe murderer that has been grooming me and we are all doomed. Lol. All five and a half stone of her! Oh we are in for so much fun during her stay x

  85. Good evening lovely sue and her crafty crew!

Well. Last post of the day and what a corker! I will be the first to admit that this die didn't make me sing when I first saw it, I don't know why because I am a huge fan of Charles rennie mackintosh and it's very reminiscent of his rose designs.....maybe it's because I prefer a 3 D rose to a flat one. This splendid card has achieved the impossible and made me change my mind though, I love the coloured flowers and leaves plus the triple design is stunning and so imaginative....and yes, the little heart edger is just so cute:-)another die to add to my list.
I am so excited about tomorrow, I think it's going to be a fitting finale to a fabulous few days. I thought I'd really struggle to comment today but managed it along with most of my packing....worried about baggage allowance though, how will I fit in goodies from Ally Pally:-(. My mum has graciously offered to do my ironing tomorrow whilst I go and get my hair revamped for meeting Sue....can't meet my idol with a jowless face but grey hair roots showing and giving away my age:-)
Hope you have all had a lovely weekend and are ready for the challenges of the week. Looking forward to catching up with everyone's news:-)

    Love and crafty hugs

The card is gorgeous with some beautiful coloured cardstock. Wasnt sure about this die when i first saw it but now you have posted a stunning creation with it it has gone to the top of my list from the frames and tags collection. I try to pick a favourite from each collection for my first shop when you do a new launch so with all of the new arrival collection and my favourite from all the other new collections i have quite a long list the only trouble is there is another day to go lol. I cant believe that four days have gone by already it goes so quickly, but looking forward to all your gorgeous creations on the last day of your new die release.
    Best Wishes.

  146. Hi Sue

What a pretty card and now I see it I totally get what this die is all about and what she is capable of. This like all your others have just been so innovative with a ton of potential uses. Sorry I've not been able to comment on all, and some of them (anything with a butterfly lol) I'm so taken with. Sure they'll be some serious sell outs next weekend at AP! Big hugs x

Speaking of AP, if I don't get the chance then I hope Laine and Princess Yvonne Pixie the First have an immense time together and all you ladies who are going remember have a cuppa and a slice of cake for me. I want to hear all about the goodies you pick up, that's an order!

Big hugs to Lynda, Laine & Pixie, P, Myra, Pam, Elaine and Andrew, June, Fluffycat Frances, Nanna Tina and Mick, Pat L & Sarah, Lorraine F, Norah, Tracy, Maria, Theresa W, Marg, Littlelamb and all the other ladies whose comments I love to read, sending big hugs and happy thoughts to you all.

Also thinking of those affected by 9/11, then and now.

I read about a little girl in the USA who got a card from Sue earlier this week who was having treatment (my head gave out before I could comment) my thoughts with her & her family.

Tough week on many fronts but saw one of my friends get a bronze in the powerlifting in Rio and the other, an ex student of mine has won both the boccia matches she has been in so far. The Olympic broadcast people decide that boccia isn't worth a live feed so I've been trying to follow on Twitter and channel 4 results section of all places but I'm really proud of them both and so happy for them. Has been a lovely distraction. Got a new bird feeder in the garden so the local birds will find it in time for winter. Mr said the seed has dropped a little so hoping soon to see them visit regularly. Off to bed as although I slept today I got to try have a routine.

Sending hugs to everyone and wishing everyone a good, happy, crafty week. I'll be back soon as I can,

    T xxx

  175. LOVE your card, its a GORGEOUS layered DOODLED DELIGHT!!!
This rose wreath has won my heart. I was wondering about the size? Is it fairly small or is your card quite large, given that three are layered together?
It doesn't really matter, I LOVE IT regardless of size :)
