Hi bloggers! You have already had a peek at this lovely new die earlier in the week, but here is another sample for you. The Starflower Cluster Is a lovely Finishing touch for your cards or even a complete focal element. There are so many ways you can use this die set and it looks great wherever you do! The basic cluster has an extra matching floral element to it so you can add in another colour for the flowers to really make it pop. The extra flowers also allow you to use them by themselves without the cluster too so loads of versatility. For the penultimate time, I ask you to leave a comment for the drawing. I did notice this cluster on you red, black and white card the other day it was a very dramatic looking card, even with this card made in different colours its still a beautiful creation. Love the idea of the separate flowers which look so pretty and could be used on there own given more versatility to the die.

ReplyDeleteOh this one is so pretty, is it larger than the other clusters that you have done in the past as it looks like it and that it could match one of the flower sets already in circulation. Doing it in white with a blue background would be a fancy floral version of our St Andrews flag, Scotlands flag which could actually make a lovely card for some of our male contempories that are into their proudness but not into football(which i can't blame them) or even to send across to my American friends that are proud of their Scottish heritage. See you've done it again with sending my brain off on its wanders once more. You will really need to take that holiday where you are barred from even a pad and pencil flower as that brain of yours tick, tick, ticks away constantly.

ReplyDeleteGreat flower die. The flowers appear dainty and really look nice with the swirls. The extra flower die will work as a backing piece but could also be cut apart and used 3D. Looking forward to seeing videos with it.

So. The Finishing Touches have arrived with a bang. At one point when you first started the design chapter of your life, they would be the first I'd choose from to order once the launch was over as my way of thinking then was that ARE the finishing touch, the end product we would reach for to add to our cards/projects. This still stands, your floral and foliage dies are what I reach for on many of my cards. They have moved now to last but one due to your alphabet die, but I'm standing firm with my change of heart (after my New Arrival's are delivered) not all the collection I'm sad to say ! My next purchase will be one of the Nobles - rectangle or circles or maybe the ovals, then the new collection of Nobles set B as I just adore how they make a card with framing, they are the card, it just grows from there. This pretty little die will find a home with me eventually, a sister for my peony cluster, it would be cruel and daft not to let's face it lol.

Hi Sue. WOW !!! What a stunning card you have created with your gorgeous new Star Flower Cluster !!! As you know Sue, your finishing touches dies ( mainly flower dies ) are usually something I go for first at every one of your new die releases. (Even with your Christmas die release my first purchase was your new Christmas Roses die set !!! ) which I may add is stunning when you cut into the petals slightly and shape them all. Definitely not just for Christmas !!! I have had my eye on these and other finishing touches die sets since I very first saw them the other day. Quite honestly, I could have added the complete list of this latest release as I have loved them all.
I loved Christmas release too, but did not go too mad as I still have a couple I did not get round to using last year!!!!

ReplyDeleteHow cute and utterly adorable the little clusters are, so useful can be used as a garnish or as something more elaborate and the focal element. My brain is in a tizzy, I can't remember at which point this appeared during the launch, I'll just have to check back when things calm down a bit for me:-)
I have bought your previous release clusters and used them to great effect, can be a bit fiddly but well worth the effort. I'm a real advocate for buying as many finishing touches as your bank will allow, they really elevate a card from the ordinary to the extraordinary.
Feeling quite drained after my busy afternoon, going to have some Chinese takeaway...it's probably my last decent meal for a while after all:-), before I return to peruse the final post of the launch:-(
