Thinking Of You

Hello my crafty friends!  I love frames and I love circles, so what could be better than a card with frames and circles!! LOL  I began this one with an embossed piece of coconut white card using the Jacobean Floral embossing folder.  Next I used the Double Pieced Noble Circles to cut two frames.  The larger one was cut from the Classic Elegance Paper Pad and the smaller circle was cut from coconut white card.  I added a backing to the smaller circle of the same paper design then cut a white backing for the larger circle.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it with the Pierced Flags die set and extended it across the centre circle frame.  I made three flowers from the Classic Elegance papers using the Sweetheart flower die set.  I sugared them with Iced Snow and added them around the frame.  Lace Edged Leaves were added to them as accents and a bow of white satin ribbon as well.  I completed the card with a simple white on white mat with piercing.  The finished dimensions are
7 1/4" x  7 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  41. Hi Sue
A very beautiful card ,loving the cute leaves and flowers .

Pam,,,,Andrew had an off day yesterday ,lets hope today will be better.

I am phoning the complaints Department at the housing this morning ,hand on heart , i had no sleep until after 4.20 , not the cats fault i might add , her family were over and they decided to have the TV on quite loud until about 2.30 then it was talking and banging about until 4.20 then all went quiet { i don't think there is carpet on the floor by the noise of them all walking about } .
It must have been near on 5.00 before i went to sleep and my alarm goes off at 6.00 .
Oh well i am showered and dressed ready for shopping and Andrews visit , i have no doubt i will fall asleep this afternoon or be very grumpy because i am tired.
I don't like complaining however, she knows my bedroom is under her living room and to be honest i don't think she is bothered that we have broken nights of sleep .

    Sending big hugs to all.

  77. Hello Sue
Lovely card today have just got back from family holiday in Spain so have been busy looking at the cards I missed. Thank you Pam for keeping me up to date with every ones news. Had a nightmare start to the holiday arrived at the hotel 11pm on the Friday evening only to be told our holiday firm had gone bust and had we needed to pay over £2000 or we couldn't stay. Had to pay but we weren't too worried because it was an English firm so we would get it back only to find they had relocated to Spain last year so will be lucky to get anything back. To make things worse the next day we had a letter pushed under the door to say we needed to pay an extra £1100. My usually mild mannered husband saw red the manager kept threatening the police so in the end my husband insisted they were called. Actually the police were very nice and after lots of talking we agreed to pay £200. I really felt sorry for the people who couldn't pay the hotel were expecting those already there to pay even those who were going home that day.

Elaine - some people are naturally thoughtless with no consideration for others but you really do need to bring it to the council's attention, as you will know there are conditions that tenants have to comply with.

Myra - good to know there is another cricket aficionado out there. I want Cook and Root to get another ton apiece before declaring again :-)

Beautiful card. Love those flowers. I do have the circles but I don't have the sweetheart flowers!! Lol oh well I can use another flower xx

Crewe trish. Oh my that sounded like a complete nightmare. No wonder ur hubby saw red that would push anyone over the edge. It's a lot of money to shell out and to make it worse it wasn't ur fault.

Nana Tina. Ur doing the right thing. I've spoken to her and she's not trying to rectify the issue.
Just note down times and dates for ur evidence.
I had a neighbour like that once at my old flat who liked to have music and parties etc. we had to call the police numerous times and got ref numbers. Took us and other residents 6 months before the person was evicted. Glad we managed to sell the flat when things were quiet. Lol

Thanks everyone for ur kind words and wishes the past few weeks they've helped a lot xx

So P in Wales - How I agree with you about leaving comments. It's not only a shame to see blog numbers double on some giveaways it's not right or good manners to show up at certain times of the year only not to be seen against until another giveaway. As you say P 'our Sue' is generous everyday of the week by the inspiration and time she gives us so why not say "thank you" it costs nowt but means so much so well done P for highlighting this.

  118. Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

An absolutely stunning card Sue, I'm loving the noble circles at the minute and envisage using them loads in the coming months....they are really enhanced by your beautiful papers, I hadn't thought about using them as a frame before now. The EF is gorgeous and luckily I bought it some time ago so I guess I have no reason not to have a feeble attempt at recreating this little beauty:-) The sweetheart flowers are lovely made with your papers, a stunning accompaniment to the gorgeous focal point. This card is a triumph!
I've had a pamper day today getting my hair cut and dyed....it badly needed it, it resembled a badly coloured and overused toilet brush! Feel a new woman now, just a shame that I haven't had the opportunity to feel a new man too:-)
Elaine, I used to live in a ground floor flat and was tormented by my neighbour above who had laminate flooring and a staffie that howled and barked constantly. She eventually moved and was replaced by a young guy who would be fine Mon-Fri then have raves and a bus load of friends at the weekend partying literally nonstop until Monday morning. The stress made me I'll so my advice to you would be to nip it in the bud so that you can focus on helping Andrew through his treatment. Good luckxxx
Trish, that was a holiday from hell! How unfortunate, I do hope that you can get a refund for the extra cash outlays, I really feel for you and the poor people who were forced to fly home early. I really hope that you managed to salvage something from your time away.
P, you are spot on, so many people comment for the prizes when the blog should be our opportunity to tell Sue just how much we love and appreciate all that she does for us on a daily basis. I began commenting because Sues work inspired me so much that I felt she deserved to know the positive impact that she has on my Cardmaking and life through her brilliant blog.
Maria, Darcey has been a little angel these past few nights, I think my deep, commanding voice telling her to go to bed might be working because she has stopped scratching and crying.....fingers crossed:-) Yep, not long until Ally Pally now.....I don't mind admitting that I'm feeling increasingly apprehensive about my living arrangements, how do you prepare to stay with someone as obnoxious as Yvonne?:-)
Yvonne, oh no, it s that time of week again when I am due to withstand the verbal incontinence of yours truly....I've barely recovered from our last conversation:-)xxxx
Hugs to Tracy, Tina, pat, Pam ,Wheely bad, Theresa, Lorraine, Linda, Rebecca, Beth, Frances and Alison, plus all who need a comforting cuddle.

Not been on here for a while but have returned to a beautiful card. Love the noble circles - such a fabulous go to. I have the elegance paper pad but so far have only stroked it as it is just too gorgeous to use!!! Really need to give myself a severe talking to.
The card is a wonderful creation of the perfect colour combination and stunning embellishments which all in all adds up to an exquisite work of art. Thanks Sue x
Ok so I am completely out of the loop having been away for a few days. It was my birthday last Thursday and I had a constant stream of friends and family popping in to make sure the day would not go unnoticed. Loads of cards, pressies and money. I was a lucky girl. And the postman bought me an unexpected gift in the form of a bribe from Laine to make sure I will carry on being her friend!! Lol. Seriously, Laine sent me - what else - some Sue dies. It was a lovely surprise x
I have yet to decide what to spend my birthday money on but just to satisfy my longings have already treated myself to a few other Sue goodies x
The rest of the week seemed to go by in a bit of a blur due to the hot weather and my not coping too well with temperature.
Anyway it is cooler today thank goodness but still warm and not playing havoc with my brain cell so fingers crossed I am back now x
Maria - one night? I presume you are talking about the forthcoming visit from the troublemaker from across the border. I wish it was only one night. I stupidly said she could stay for over a week - well I didn't think she would say yes. Lol x
Crewe Trish - absolutely scandalous. So unfair that you can be treated like this x
Elaine - make sure you keep a diary. We had terrible trouble years ago with a 'nocturnal' upstairs neighbour and a diary is really important. Some people are so inconsiderate. I really feel for you. I hope Andrew had a better day today x
Sam - I hope you are not troubled by your neighbours alarm again. Disturbed sleep is so miserable x
Annie - hope your cellulites is calming and you are able to play x
Wheely - so pleased your sewing machine looks at home. Sorry it was not good news for Mr W. Must say you were lucky with that doctor weren't you? I always get the old wrinkly doctors who grunt rather than communicate. Hugs x
Tracy - you need to take your time with things and not put pressure on yourself. Hugs x
Lorraine - the boys are a nightmare. I really have no idea how things will get sorted. Hope you are feeling better x
P - I am sure the banter will begin soon x
Lynda - so sorry to hear about Annie. Take care. Hugs x
Tina - I'm glad Mick is 'looking good'! Things seem to be moving in the right direction. Sending you love x
Laine - where are you hun? Hope being nice to me hasn't worn you out too much x
I am so sorry if I have missed anything. I am hoping for a quiet day tomorrow and who knows I might even manage to play with my new Sue toys. Wish me luck with actually using my elegance paper pad. Maybe I should buy another one so I can carry on with the stroking. Lol x
    Take care everyone.
    Sending love and happy thoughts
    Crafty hugs
    Yvonne
    x

  122. Hi Sue,
Love this and have all the dies except the leaves, so will try it with the faux quilled leaves instead, and in a different colour way, with a different sentiment....otherwise, an exact copy! LOL....

  123. Hi Sue
Wow just love this card, how can I decide which Nobel dies to go for next circles or ovals just when I think I have decided you show me a card from the other set and I'm back to where I started
Mick has had a fantastic day he has eaten weetabix, egg and chips, crispy chicken breast and chocolate sponge and custard, his hands have been playing up but he's coped very well, still very warm here but having fan on and doors open has helped
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all your kind words, hugs and wishes they mean a lot to us both
    Happy crafting
    Love and hugs to all
    Love Tina xxxx

  127. Good evening Sue and the Wilsonettes ,
Oh Sue I really love this card but sadly I don't have the pierced circles although I do have the bonnie paper that you have used. I love everything about today's piece of beauty that I really need to save for the circle and the background pierced dies as both you have now successfully made them from a want to a need. Thank you for a fantastic inspirational work of art Sue that I can see so many would want to emulate this. Take care lovely lady with hugs to all as I'm so tired as I have been up on and off all last night because of a certain baby grandson and I have had him all day today. I don't have a part that's not aching tonight or jumping with pain spasms so I will say goodnight,
    Love and crafty hugs

  130. Hi Sue

What a pretty card. I don't often see circular frames so this is quite a treat. The colours are perfect and compliment the dies and stamp totally. I hope all is good with you. Big hugs x

P, Steph and Barbara- well said! I agree with every word x

Tracy, all I can do is send you the biggest of hugs and a hand to hold. It will get better but it will take as much time as it will take. We're all here for you for the duration of that time x

Lynda, I'm so sorry to hear about Annie. Sending you biggest of hugs and Billy sends a big paw to hold and fluffy cuddles. I hope you and your furry friend who has lost their play mate are OK. Thank you for thinking of us when you're grieving Annie, it's very kind of you x

Laine and Yvonne, crazy how so often you've posted within minutes of each other and thank you for making me laugh. Big hugs to both of you x

Nanna Tina, delighted to hear how much better Mick is. Heat didn't do a lot of us any favours so I'm glad it's cooled and it's been of benefit to Mick, big hugs x

Elaine, you must do something about the inconsiderate person above you. I hate being the one to complain too but there comes a point and it can't affect your health as you have Andrew to think about. Glad he's making continued progress, a down day here and there is normal especially if he's been active the day before. My best wishes to him and big hugs to you both x

Sending big hugs and thanks to Norah, P, Fluffycat, Maria, Pam, Lorraine, Pat and Sarah and anyone I forgot (3 days of comments is a lot to remember so sincere apologies if I have forgot you) for thinking of myself and the Mr x

Think last week caught up with me over the weekend. The heat, going out, being in touch with old friends, my head (and the handsome A & E doctor lol). I did nothing Saturday bar eat my evening meal and have a shower. Sunday I did a little sewing and got very sleepy again. Today I've been a bit more with it, sorted a few essential things out, shower after tea. Mum in law wants to use a sewing machine Wednesday so tomorrow I need to tidy the back room a bit and unhook my machine from my arm lever and set it up to sew slowly for her. Both my hand cranks have bits off them being cleaned and my new baby has yet to be checked over thoroughly. Told her to get her machines to me for some work, she hasn't sewn in a long time, one has seized and the other she says doesn't work. I don't mind cos she's lovely and Billy adores his Grandma!

Mr says he feels "lighter" knowing he's leaving work. He has decided he wants to go back to building for a few years. Maybe it's anything other than being at my beck and call lol. His last day is Friday, his birthday and he's having lunch with those he got on with. We're all going to his parents Sunday, Billy will see so much of his favourite people this week! Last week he was giving doggy kisses to my social worker and giving puppy eyes to the cleaner, this week it's grandma and my PA twice, my brother too, who's standing in for the cleaner as he's desperate to earn extra money for his wedding next year. Billy's asleep now after chasing spiders round the living room (those he doesn't eat he leaves drowned in dog dribble on the floor) not quite as bad as Laines cat bringing her "presents" but getting there!

Mammoth comment, I do apologise. I have a fair bit to do tomorrow as have a meeting as well as getting MIL ready a space to sew in and catch up with my friend again on FB as haven't been up to it so if I don't visit you'll know why and not to worry. Sending big hugs and happiness to all Wilsonettes, see you all soon,

    T x
