Festive Collection Day Three 3pm

Hi bloggers!  This post is showcasing the Bold Snowflake Flurry die set and the Warmest Wishes die.  Shown here are both sets used together on this card.  I have used the Bold Snowflake Flurry as the focal element, using the extendable arms to create a larger, bolder snowflake as the focal point.  The Warmest Wishes die works so well with it as the perfect sentiment for a simple, but traditional card for the festive season.  It is lovely and detailed, adding an elegance to your cards and projects, but still easily readable as well.  I think you will find both of these sets extremely useful for both quick and easy cards as well as more detailed cards for those special friends.  Leave a comment to be entered into this drawing.  Don't forget to add something special to your name too!  The last post for today will be coming your way at 6pm, but don't forget we still have a few ore days and many dies to go!  Do you have a favourite yet?  If so, let me know in your comment.  All for now, Sue x

  16. Hi Sue

Stunning card, I love silver... it dominates my jewellery, I have chrome colours in the kitchen and bathroom, even my clothing, I love monochrome, silver greys etc. It's so nice for any time of year. I have enough different silver card stock to make probably 500 cards, silver foil, silver flakes, embossing powder,UTEE, gilding wax. Probably the first colour I buy of everything. I like snowflakes as much as I like silver so a big snowflake is very attractive to me. Another for the list! 'Warmest Wishes' is a brilliant sentiment, another for anytime of year too and for my multi denominational family a perfect Christmas sentiment. Thank you for designing dies especially for me Sue, I do appreciate it lol!

Big hugs all round, see you sometime after 6pm (we are being spoilt today, with all these cards and dies, aren't we?!)

  30. Good afternoon lovey Sue and her crafty crew!

The large snowflake die was one of the dies that I delayed judgement of in fear that its usefulness would be limited....how wrong was I? This clean and simple card showcases it quite beautifully, no other adornments are required to elevate this card other than the gorgeous sentiment die, what a stunning font, I love it.
You have a touch of the wicked about you Sue:-), how can you possibly expect us to narrow down our favourite die(s) amongst the embarrassment of riches currently on offer?Naughty Sue:-) I would be quicker telling you the ones that didn't immediately grab my attention, those being.........ehmm,........oh dear........well, there you go, that's you told:-) Seriously though, I can't think of anything that would prioritise one over the other so I guess that I'm going to have to be extra resourceful in raising the funds so that I don't have to leave any of these little beauties out.
I'm very pleased with myself, I've managed to catch up with your posts today despite my chronic fatigue induced by Darceys antics at bedtime last night.....I called her home at midnight, a little later than normal, only for her to tease me by repeatedly coming up to the doorway before prancing off like a little lamb, Grrr! It took an hour and a half of 'playing' before she finally decided to come and get her supper, I guess that a saucer of prawns doesn't have the same sway that it once had.
So I have eased myself into the day, devoting it as should be to the blog....my mum has gone to my brothers for a belated birthday BBQ for my niece but given the dismal weather and steady rain I chose to sit it out, soggy burgers and bangers aren't my thing:-)
For any of our blog buddies wondering where that dreadful trouble maker Yvonne is, she's been having trouble recovering after her exploits last week and hasn't even looked at the blog?!!??! She didn't even realise there was a Blogathon so I have to seriously question her commitment to Sue and the blog....can she really claim to be Sue's no1 Wilsonette in light of her indifference? No, I think not! Yeah, we know who Sue's REAL favourite is don't we?:-)

  156. Hi Sue. Extendable arms on a snowflake! I doubt that anyone else has ever done this before but I bet that your idea is soon copied! Didn't win the lottery so I'll have to trim down my "dream basket" to "affordable basket" instead. Sue xxx

Another lovely lot of dies! It is hard to choose a favourite from all these gorgeous dies, but for me it would have to be the snow globe. I just love them, and I have a small collection of vintage Christmas snow globes. Can't wait to see what else you have to show us!

  171. Hi Sue, although it is a tad cool here in Australia today, it is not snowing in my neck of the woods. I really think the sentiment die will be useful for any number of cards so that may have to be on the list.

    Thanks

  186. Lovely card and so quick to make, well within my range and very useful if you have a lot of cards to make or suddenly need another card for someone. I couldn't help but laugh though, a large, very cold snowflake and by the side of it, the word "warmest"! :)

  191. Hi Sue,
I love the ideaThat you can make the snowflake bigger with the extra arms(sorry don't know what else to call them Sue) or dinky just having the small snowflake. The size of the large extended snowflake makes for a great centerpiece or topper on a card without having to go all out but still makes a stunning card, just what we need when we have a lot of card making to do for christmas. Thank you Sue for another WOW that we want and need and not just for the sake of it like a lot of others go to. You make different things that we do want but don't make the same thing in just a slighty different way.
    love and crafty hugs
