  17. Oh beautiful! I'm looking for inspiration for my Mum's 90th birthday card and I think I may have just found it. Although as I was reading the post, I noticed in the thing at the side about where the visitors came from that a visitor from St Helens was reading the post at the same time of me - wouldn't it be a coincidence if it was my sister in law and we end up making her identical cards???

  86. Good morning Sue and the merry band of Wilsonettes,
What a beautiful card you have brought for our delight today Sue and the wisteria colour is such a soft colour and one of my favourites in the CE range of colours. I really like the lighter colours that is made into such beautiful works of sheer pleasure. I am hoping that when i get a wee bit money together i can treat myself to some of the beautiful new dies fromt he last collection and this one but for the moment they remain on my wish/need list. I have fallen for a few in your tags and frames selection that will be a real must but i will try to see how i can get on with the striplets and other dies that i have at the moment to make my version of today's beauty. I hope that you are bouncing back one step at a time flower but as i have found it sometimes is a few steps back before you can make one going forward so i am sending you some hugs just to let you know that you are thought about and cared for.
Well folks peace reigns serenely at Costa de Glenochil with the rain and hubby back at work today, i can only hope that tomorrow is dry for us and his dads funeral. Me, i'll need dropped off at least 20 minutes before everyone else just to get up the outside steps but i will make it what ever the challenge. Today is a picky day where i just do wee bits at a time to get some of the things sorted of Mum's and try and get my house back to normal a bit before his nibs brings along the next lot to be sorted through. The schools and colleges are off on holiday this week so Rory is doing what he does best, playing on his x-box until i shout for a hand. Now you would think it was a mountian that i wanted to move instead of lifting one box from my car up to the charity shop but it has sat in the car for long enough now and i need the space for tomorrow. So i will send hugs to Tracy, i hope that you take it easy today after your treatment flower, hugs to Wheely that she is a wee bit better and to all our Wilsonettes that need or could just do with one
    love and crafty hugs

I am saving the video for later but loving this card. I have a bit of a soft spot for any card which features the lattice window striplet as that was the die I won and it is stunning.
I don't yet have any of the colour clouds but guess what they are on my list - along with everything else.
Apologies for my absence over the last couple of days - I was feeling so drained that I did not do anything at all. I have just had a quick peek at the cards I missed and they are gems of gorgeousness.
Your blog is a blessing to so many of us and it is so apt that at this time of need you are able to find some comfort in the knowledge that we are all thinking of you. Sending you love and hugs Sue x
LAINE - so sorry to hear about your dad. Oh my goodness - been a bit of a tough week hasn't it? Hang in there hun - one day at a time. Sending love and hugs x
FLUFFY CAT, 'P', LINDA, MARIA, JAN - thank you for your good wishes - right back at you x
WHEELY BAD - your nan sounds like she is a force to be reckoned with. Sorry to hear about your neighbour. Sending you big hugs x
TRACY - you have hit the nail on the head about the dies. I know that I have dies in my collection that are still waiting to be used. I can think of addictions that are far more detrimental to one's well being so I refuse to feel guilty. Be assured - hubby will not hear your secret from me. Well done on the card making. Thinking of you today. Big hugs x
LORRAINE - well done on the crafting and sorting - how satisfying. Huggles x
NORAH - I am so pleased for you that peace has returned. It sounds like your O.H. had man flu - that is a very serious condition. If he gets it again I think that leaving the patient well alone - possibly solitary confinement is the best course of action. Will be thinking of you tomorrow. Lots of love x
URSULA - so sorry to hear about your brother - sending you love and hugs x
Still feeling a little jaded so will not be up to much today apart from making pancakes later for the boys.
    Sunny thoughts to everyone

I've even coloured some of your felt to match a card it worked brilliantly you'd never have guessed it wasn't naturally that colour when I bought it, so who ever thought that one up deserves an OBE for ink innovation lol.
I'm hoping that this beauty will have made you smile again today ?

  135. Hi again Sue. My apologies for my earlier comment I'm really not as thick as I made myself look ! I realised that I'd not checked in before I had to leave home for my hospital appointment so I quickly admired your card for today without reading what you had typed. It's only when I just watched your tutorial and noticed you had expressed the ease of inking felt that I realised I had been countering on about it earlier !!! What a complete numpty, and how idiotic do I feel lol that'll teach me to read/watch before adding my 10 pence worth - right ?!!?

    Sending love n hugs.

  148. Beautiful card as always my dear. I have three striplets already but think I am going to have to get this one too. Going to Gloucester on Thursday for an appointment so I will take it as meant to be if the craft shop has it in.
Today was tiring as I had to travel to Bath for a physio assessment. Very nice young lady taught me how to use my stick properly and gave me a little exercise for my knees. Trouble is they really ache now and I hope it doesn't disturb my sleep. I will be doing a fibromyalgia coping course and will spend four hours one day a week for four weeks there. With the travelling on top I shall be exhausted.
Tomorrow it's a mammogram to look forward too.
Tracy, you sounded quite chipper having your chemo. I hope the after effects are not too bad x
Laine, I can really empathise with the heart break you are going through x
I am sorry I know others are going through grieving but I can't remember who, sorry and massive hugs for you all
Discussing my symptoms today brought up a lot about when my Dad was poorly and then died. Such an awful time and it all has its repercussions.
Crikey I am being miserable. Apologies again. I must try and do some crafting tomorrow and perhaps forget about it all.
Wishing good things to all xxx

  153. Hi Sue,

As Pam said first thing, we're glad you're our friend too, Sue (couldn't have put it better myself, Pam!). Looking at the card, you'd never know that the felt had been coloured by ink and oh wow, what a stunning card! The striplet is on my next shopping list as its gorgeous. I must move fast as there's a few embossing folders I'd like and I'd like to get in before they sell out!

Hope you're OK Sue, big hugs to you and your family x

Ursula, condolences on the loss of your brother, big hugs x

Laine, thinking of you and your family at such a difficult time, big hugs x

Molly, Melody and family, big hugs x

Tracy, hope you don't feel rough after today, not long to go now! Thank you for thinking of me, Big hugs x

Sarah (fame01) hope your sons hospital appointment goes well, hugs to both of you x

Norah, peace at last! Don't push yourself too hard over the next few days. Thank you for thinking of me, big hugs x

Yvonne, don't rush back into things, take your time. Thank you for thinking of me, big hugs x

Lorraine F, physio is always tiring, A lot of these pain courses can be very confronting and that on top of intense sessions can be exhausting. I've been on good ones and very bad ones in the past. I truly hope the sessions help you to manage your condition so you can enjoy more of your life - especially the crafting. Encouragement and big hugs x

Jan D in Florida, craft foam (we call it 'funky foam', it's more marketed to kids here but a lot of crafter's use it) flowers, what an inspired idea! I must try that with the flower dies I have soon as I can, thanks for sharing such a good idea, hugs x

Marg, P in Wales, Jan from Long Island, thank you so much for thinking of me, hugs x

Lynda, special hugs as always from myself and Billy x

Nanna didn't have her drain out today, she said it was "only a little setback". I'm majorly frustrated I can't get to her, she's 2 miles away in the local hospital! I'm going to text my brother to see if he can take me tomorrow afternoon if she's still in but it depends on his shift. Sure I can sit for long enough and if not I'll use the meds.
I have to try to make a condolence card for my late neighbours family tomorrow. Until her last year she kept a wonderful garden, rose bushes everywhere, which her son is keeping in, bowling green lawn, pansies, hyacinths and all sorts. I have a lovely rose stamp, one of the first rubber stamps I brought and I will make a card with that. I think her children will really appreciate it.

Today I kept the migraines at bay by spending most of it horizontal. When I did sit up it was on with the neck brace until I felt that heady tingle, then back laying down- which does my back no favours! I have worked out how I can use my tablet etc without pushing my neck down to look at my lap. I have my spare support cushion, a sofa cushion and a TV tray on my lap topped with a book holder. I can rest my arms on the tray too so I'm not hurting my arms holding the tab still. I feel like a 'para' version of The A-team!!!

Another hour plus its taken to post but I had so much to say. Thank you everyone who left me their best wishes, your support and concern means a lot. Big hugs to all and every one of you, especially those dealing with the loss of a loved one, I know there are more of you than I mentioned today, I'm thinking of you, also thinking of those who are ill, in treatment or in any kind of pain. Wishing for smiles, sunshine, happiness for everyone and a wonderful Wednesday XXX

    T :-)
