  1. Isuch a lovely card, it's gorgeous. Love the wreath and ribbon. Congratulions to Sued99. Enjoy your card.
Melody, you and Francis are in my thoughts and prayers. You are in a terrible dilemma right now but you must get some rest, you are not strong yourself.
Tracey, I'm sorry the news wasn't what you hoped for. When my husband had radiotherapy he didn't lose his hair. My brother lost his with chemo and when it grew back it went from fine fairies hair to a lovely thick shiny dark colour, he loved it. Stay strong girl, fight this.
Hope everyone has a peaceful weekend.

  17. Morning Sue.
Congrats to Sue on receiving your amazing special work of Wednesday art - enjoy.

A joyful card today to celebrate the joy we feel as we welcome our first new baby grand-daughter she's a few weeks early and mommy had a bad time after delivery of their baby girl but all home and making special memories. Can't believe my baby has a baby of her own, a weird feeling that's for sure !
Of course I had to treat myself to a new grandma gift (after buying out a shop of all the pink baby clothes ) lol so I too had a couple of new festive babies of my own to look after. I like the idea of 'hiding' the shaking hand syndrome with an extra die as I'm sure I'm not the only crafter that suffers with this frustrating problem !!
One more issue before I send my hugs, I bought one extra die yesterday after seeing the most gorgeous card on our FB page made with the butterfly striplet, and it's all Sandy's fault lol.
So I now send my love to you Sue and my friends here and my FB friends. Thinking of you dear Tracey.
    Hugs.
    Lancashire Steph xxx

    Morning Sue
A beautiful gift to start my day.
I love the way you have used the stacking on the little wreath and then to finish off use those beautiful tiny fir cones. Having said that there is a little too much black for me but that's my personal feelings. I still think it is a beautiful Christmas Card.

Thank you Sue for your continuing inspiration.

To all in pain and suffering today I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

  85. Hello Sue,
Sorry I didn't get in yesterday, both cards were stunning and I have since attempted the second one. Found the mitring a bit tricky though.
Today's video was inspiring as ever. Love this card. I had to chuckle though, it instantly made me think of the German flag. Maybe recollections of your birthplace coming through and I bet Rolf will see it too. Might be a good one to make for all my OH's family.

Congratulations Sue99 , enjoy your card.

Tracy, I can't begin to imagine what you are facing, just try to remember each step is one day nearer to being well again.
Melody, you have some terrible decisions to make and I hope you find the strength to make the ones which are right for you both.
CX Cowgirl, hope you and your family are coping too.
My sister underwent life threatening surgery for advanced cancer almost a year ago. It was a ten hour operation and chemotherapy. Her prognosis was very poor. It's been a tough year but she is now doing really really well. What I wanted to say by telling you that is that even though things are very bad at the moment, try to stay positive. My prayers are for you all.
    Love and hugs for all

  102. Good afternoon Sue and the Wilsonettes.
This seems like quite a CAS card compared to your norm Sue and probably just what we need for some of our more challenging friends and family that are just so hard to please. THank you Sue for todays piece of inspiring delight.
Well done to Sue for winning this weeks WOW card, i hope that you really enjoy it went you receive it at home flower.
To Tracey, Txcowgirl, Melody and all our Wilsonettes that are facing the worst that life is throwing at them i send you my love, prayers and hope that you are at the very worst the now and that it can only get good and positive for you all from here on in. I send healing, soothing, caring hugs to you all in the hope that you have come to a turning point and life will improve from here on in.
Taking the raspberry gc apart again as the hex bolts in the inside have come adrift yet again only the hands are just not working to be able to have the strength to release the two top ones to get into and pout back the stragglers. It was the same with the purple one, the dashed thing kept coming apart inside and the first hurdle i have to overcome is trying to get the screws out of beneath the suction plate which is a pain in the hands literally. I am trying to get it back together so that i can give it to my friend as i had promised her the purple one until i seen that it was broken inside so thought my luck was in when i got this one from Hobbycraft for £30 because it was missing the handle and plates that some kind soul had nicked from the shop probably because they had broken their handle and was too misereable to pay for a new one and a new set of plates. I mean to say, how can you walk out of a shop with a full set of plates under your arm and a handle??? Oh well O H is not going to be happy when i ask for his help but needs must. Have a good day everyone
    love and crafty hugs

  103. Hi Sue, a lovely card despite the amount of black (lol) and like Myra I remember it from launch and also said at the time that it reminded me of the German flag. It was good to see how it was actually done and I think we will all be stacking up our die cuts in future.

Tracey - so sorry your news was not better but at least you now have some idea of the road ahead. With your fighting spirit and all the support from everyone you will get through this.

Melody - Francis will have to make the hardest decision of his life but with your support I'm sure it will be the right one for everyone. How is Molly? We are missing her and all her stories.

Sued99 - Congratulations on being the Wednesday Winner - enjoy.

Steph - Congratulations on the arrival of your Grand-daughter. Lots of fun to be had and maybe a future crafter already in the making :-)

Thanks for the, as ever, informative video.
Well done to Sued99 on the card win - I look at mine every day and feel so lucky to have won.
Melody - life not made any easier by the lack of coordination of hospital departments, think we all have stories to tell. Do hope your news comes soon and hugs to you all.

  132. Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

What a fantastic use of your fabulous Joy die and thank goodness for the video demo illustrating the application of the glaze- great tip to tidy it up with another layer of the die, shaky hands will appreciate this. I haven't purchased this die yet, I've gone off on a tangent and been topping up on essentials such as card, vellum, pearls, gilding wax etc instead, in preparation of starting my Chrimbo cards this week. I'm quite excited about it, I really get in the festive spirit and enjoy the run up more than the actual day itself.
I'm in a state of withdrawal, I haven't had a moment to myself to play in my craftroom since my mum left for Yorkshire last week- crafting helps me to focus and de stress but sometimes chores and obligations have to take priority:-(
My heart goes out to those who are too ill to do what they love most, I've been there and it is a real challenge when you are incapacitated and unable to participate. It became a real motivating force for me though, I was determined to fight my way to fitness so that I could begin crafting again.
Steph, congratulations on your new title Grandma! You must be so excited, hope your new addition is the first of many:-)
Sued99, well done lucky lady, you are the envy of every Wilsonette, I hope that you enjoy your precious gift as much as I would have:-)
What a treat to have another one day wonder with Sues fab range on Hochanda, I can feel my credit card quivering in excited anticipation, I'm contemplating joining the freedom club because I'm beginning to feel that it may be worth my while with the competitive prices and flexi pay...yeah! I have even...shock, horror! Delayed watching Strictly in favour of seeing John demonstrate!!??!...and not a peachy bum in sight:-)
Special hugs to my buddies Yvonne, Beth, Deb C, Rebecca, etc
Super special healing hugs to Tracey...you go girl!...Melody...you brave, brave lady!....txcowgirl, and anyone awaiting/recovering from operationsxxx

    Crafty hugs,

Molly is around an she is reading the blog but after the trouble with the Facebook thing her dad went through her iPad an was not happy with all the different emails an accounts she had opened so he as been closing things down so she only as one email so they can keep track of what's going on, Molly was not happy with this an got a little bit stroppy with her dad so she as been banned off the phone an iPad for little while but happy to say things have been sorted an she will be back up an running this week lol she said it was ok to tell you all. There is so many sites out there an her mum an dad got a little worried when they found how many Molly had joined an all the different emails. Anyway she can now only get into whatever her parents see fit, not a totally happy young lady but as agreed to the new terms.x

  148. Pretty contempory Christmas card today. I really like how you layered the wreath outline pieces and filled the middle of the leaves with the lacquer to give the leaves a wonderful petite point holly look. Thanks so much for the great video. You made my day!
