Have a great day everyone.

Woohoo - two for one and a BOGOF!! All very nice, Sue, think preferring the black version. Great to see the masking technique and thanks for the video.
Susi and Wheely - wishing you well.
Beth B - no apology, still a ninny! However, he's just been to see his sister who lives opposite side of UK (can't both go because of animals). We are all retired, but he came back saying she was looking 'like an older woman now - not that you do' - well, some sort of compliment lol!! Only wish it were true.

Hi Sue,
WOW, this is the one for me. Albeit the "waste" would certainly be utilised as well. Both are gorgeous, it's just "black and red" for me it's a no-brainer.
Will have to record Julia's shows as I'm off to Manchester, sadly for a funeral.
Hugs, Rose
Morning Sue, I love this card, very bold and dramatic. It certainly makes a statement.

Hello Sue
I will watch the Video later when I more able to take notes!
Not sure about Black for a Christmas card though!
Take care
Love Marg
Hi Sue, love black and red together. love Jean Z xxx
Morning dear Sue.
I love your blue top on today's tutorial, looked very fresh, as did the white background on today's card, that would be my background of choice for the Christmas card, although the black was lovely too, it's not one I'd use for a festive card. I really must invest in more masks as I love using the texture pasted (who would have thought I'd get experimental like that) not like me at all but I'm hooked.
What a treat - 3 gorgeous cards today, the only problem I have is that I'm starting to collect an awful lot of 'negative' card like the pointsetia card you made the 3rd card out of so having to find more space to keep them safe and flat ! But it's a great way to save on card, and like you have said, why throw them away when you have the start of another card ?
After an 'off' day yesterday and not feeling so bright and sleeping the day away - what a waste of a day, I really must shake myself up and get up to speed with last week's cards and video tutorials then get some cards made for market !!
So I will send my love to you Sue and my special blog friends plus hugs to 'our' lovely FB ladies that join us here on Particraft.
Hope you all have a lovely day.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, a very, very elegant card today, I am looking forward to watching the video in a while when hubby gets up. I did order a set of these masks from Hochanda when you were on but there was a big mix up with there system I don't know why but many phone calls with them over the past week have resulting in them saying they will send out my goodies over the next 3-5 working days, I bought loads of other stuff as well and am looking forward to playing with them.
Will definitely be watching Julia tonight and tomorrow (although I am at craft club in the morning so will have to wait for the repeats on that).
Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx
Beautiful Card and Great Video, the white version would be my choice with a trim of dark green instead of the black, I love the poinsettia flower!
Hugs to all xo
I love the drama on this card and it has just given me an idea using one of your embossing folders. Thank you as usual. X
Stunning flower, am looking forward to watching the video, lovely card, very dramatic.

stunning gorgeous cards today just love that paste and masks Sue got to get me some of those.Have a great day xx
Morning Sue
OOh what a wonderful 'Sue Feast' we have this morning. Three gifts in one video - who could ask for more than that!!
I'm so pleased that you didn't ask for us to choose as it would be impossible for me to do so. Although I'm a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas I find I love all three.
I bought the three jars of Texture Paste which were on offer on your Hochanda Week-end but as yet have not had the courage to open them let alone use one of them. I really must put some time on one side to have a play.
To all in pain and suffering today I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

Okay here is my story & there’s a moral to this one Hee Hee. Imagine this; a small peaceful village & I am an innocent girl of 7 (yeah right you say). Life is running fairly smoothly until this family of 5 moves in & what a shock they are to the system, dirty, dishevelled, crude, loud, the list goes on. But me being the nice naive girl that I am I was willing to give their 8 year old daughter the benefit of the doubt until I introduced myself & my Border Collie Tress (sorry Tres she was beautiful if that’s any consolation; Lol), Tress wagged her tail, I said hello, next thing Tress yelped & yelped again, the obnoxious little worm was throwing stones at my dog. I shouted “what did you do that for she’s friendly” – worm laughed & said “I Beeeep hate dogs & I Beeeep hate animals. I was tearfully shocked & wanted to pummel her to the ground but instead gave Tress a cuddle, checked she was okay & walked away. This happened on several occasions with any animal she came across. Well, after numerous times of hitting our dogs with stones I wanted to exact revenge but not being a horrible child I couldn’t think how to implement this, I racked & racked my brains...UNTIL; YES!! fate stepped in when I was walking over this small foot bridge with Tress & Katie (Border Collie & mum to Tress), this foot bridge has a brook running under it & was a height of maybe 3 ½ - 4 foot down from the top of the wall, I was this end & the cruel little worm was approaching from the other end when I suddenly yelled “STOP!! look behind you but don’t move another inch” she laughed & didn’t & was ready to throw a stone she had retrieved from her pocket, I yelled again but this time she heard a low throated growl coming from behind her & froze in her tracks. Standing behind her was this young Black Labrador, have you ever seen Turner & Hooch & Beethoven well this black lab wasn’t just slobbering he was foaming white from both sides of his jowl. I pretended to cry & at the same time shrieking that I knew this dog & that he was rabid; “he’s what” she asked with a quiver in her voice, “he’s got rabies I cried & if he bites us we’ll turn into foaming monsters”, oh no she cried; Then she let out a loud shriek & ran towards the bridge wall, climbing over it & hung by her hands on the other side, she hadn’t looked down & didn’t realise that her feet were just a few inches off the bed of the brook. Seizing my moment I yelled “QUICK HE’S COMING, JUMP” then I heard a small splash & groans of “I’m all wet & my mum’s going to belt me”. I looked over the bridge & somehow instead of landing on her feet she was sat in the babbling brook. Well there’s me, Tress, Katie & Denny (the young black Labrador) all leaning on the wall & looking down at this sopping wet worm slapping her hands in the water throwing a right ole tantrum & still crying that mummy was going to belt her. If I could have looked back at us then as I was laughing fit to burst it was certain that my 3 companions were too as they had these darling little grins on their faces. You see I had /have a wonderful rapport with animals & I had trained Denny for his owner but he did have this disgusting habit of slobbering & foaming at the mouth. Still splitting my sides I told her “you hurt another animal & there’s more where that came from, you won’t know how or when but it will come”, naturally I then felt bad about what I had put her through but then, suddenly, 4 kiddies from our village school including, worms little brother, joined me at the bridge & through the laughter they said they had seen & heard it all...well that’s all she needed was her reputation shot down and her embarrassing moment being flung around the village& they flung it, not me though, & the moral of the story is ‘don’t mess with me & my dogs cause Karma/fate walks with me on a leash too’. I’m still splitting my sides so hope it cheers you. Love ‘n’(((HUGS)))all x Beth B x x x
Morning Sue,
Thanks for the inspirational video, love the use of the waste. I have not used textured paste yet, think I'll have to buy some.

Hi Sue,
What a great Christmas two-fer - and why waste the "waste" when with a bit of forward planning you can get two cards out of it...both equally stunning, just love that texture pasted poinsettia...

Love this, not tried this technique yet....and to get a second card from the waste makes it even better!

What a bonus 3 cards for us, I think the white one is my favourite but then again I like the black too. Decisions oh well I will have to have a go at all 3. Thank you Sue. Luv to all jxxx

Wow - this card is a stunner! Wouldn't normally use black on a Christmas card but it is so effective that I just love it Sue! Thank you. Will watch the video in a few minutes, I'm intrigued to see how you use the waste.
Really elegant card. Love it and will have to watch video to see what else is on offer.
I love all three cards Sue but I think I prefer the white background version. How about using the red glitter paste on the white background? Thank you for you inspiration. Xx
Good Morning Sue, oh I love how youve used that stencil on both the flower and the background it looks stunning. Take care hugs Shirleyxxxxxx
Hi Sue - I'm not a lover of red but I do like a red poinsettia at Christmas and I love the look of this one, especially against the black. Am looking forward to watching the video later this morning to see how you've achieved this. Best wishes

Hi sue, lovely card, fab video, crafty hugs Julie laz xxx
Love poinsettias and this is os pretty
Using the texture paste with masks is such fun and is so effective in many ways. The tone on tone is beautiful as is gold and red on black. Cutting out the flowers from the end result gives some really zingy flowers as you have shown. My preference is for the black version as I think the contras between red and black is stunning but I must try the white version as a comparison. I like the way you have placed your dies so strategically to make good use of the 'waste', isn't the end product wonderful? Thanks Sue.
Gorgeous card Sue love how dramaticvit looks with the black background. Not sure if I'd use black but maybe lighten ut up.

Morning Sue,
What a treat for Tuesday, a toofer and a spare. Lovely video too and brilliant techniques. Thank you for sharing.
Very striking the black card but have to agree with Steph, not my colour choice for Christmas. I'm quite traditional really preferring the rich reds and greens.
Split my sides laughing at your doggy tale Beth. My husband and I firmly believed in Karma. Everything comes back to those that are, shall I say, not quite so nice.
I found a very apt saying defining Karma...
Karma: the joy of watching someone get what they deserve.
Professionalism: The ability to sit back, enjoy the show and keep your mouth shut.
Gurt big (((((hugs))))) for all that are in need of one today.
Love & hugs

Hi Sue
Love this card and it's not too tricky to do!
I think I prefer the black version as it was difficult to see the texture on the white one.
The poinsettia die is lovely and I loved the extra card too, so pretty. x

Great video as always, love all 3 cards but think I sway towards the white background just a tiny bit.
Well back to sleep for me after a bad night in pain.

Hello Lovely Sue & equally lovely, wonderful Wilsonettes!
Today's card is oohhh, ahhhh, WOW to me! I absolutely love the drama of the black one with that incredible poinsettia! Stunning! I know I say that word a lot on this blog, but I can't help myself when it's true!
So many things I want to play with, so little time. I'm so thrilled with all the inspiration you so generously offer day after day!
Beth B - I was a bit worried at the beginning of your story as it started off so sad, but once the little worm got her comeuppance, I enjoyed it! I have no tolerance for cruelty to animals, never have, but at the age you were, I'm not sure I would have been able to hatch the plan you did nor pull it off! How clever of you and your furry friends! I take it you are a bit of a dog whisperer. Not only were you able to get one to play rabid (or at least you had the quick wits to put to good use his habit of slobbering & foaming), but you've also taught your current girls to kick Mr. B out of bed when he makes unflattering comments about women lol! At least I think I'm remembering that was your story :o)
Hey is "4 paws" a general term to use for our furry companions, pets, the animals that own us - or is that one of their names? I rather like it (and it's much shorter to type) but don't want to use it generically if it's not meant to be (you know, that language barrier thing :)
Jan from Long Island & Laine, thank you both so much for giving me the info on Sue's Creative Expressions FB page. I've sent off a request to join (if I don't get a response, I'll know I've scared Sue off) lol - sort of.
Laine - eccentric, slightly insane, cat loving lunatic?...Why on earth would you think that might put someone off? Those are all things that draw people to you! High compliments if you ask me!
It's 3:15am & I better get to sleep. So hugs for anyone who is in need or want of them! The same goes for sunshine...I believe we broke a record of 88df from the late 1800's yesterday because when I was out & about I saw readings of 90. I'm sorry, but that's just too hot for September 21! I'm more than happy to share the excess!
Sleepy & hot in Colorado Rebecca
Hi Sue
Wow this is a video worth watching with a twofer and bog off ! It wasn't until you started to cut the poinsettia out of the sparkle card that I realised it was red! I thought you were doing the background, I was just so mesmerised !( that's my excuse!) . Love the different versions, I think the black just has the edge for me and I love the freebie too. I must try these. Don't be afraid of texture paste ladies, it's quite good fun to play with and quite addictive when you play!. Thank you for sharing Sue.
Take care

Hi Sue
What a beautiful card today. Just love the background and the colours are stunning.
Lol Barbara W
Hi Sue. Lovely cards again, hard to choose which one I like best. Both colour ways are striking. And a freebie as well!!
Hi Sue. red and black are very dramatic but not my choice for Christmas. I much prefer the white version and the BOGOF. I love the effect of the texture paste and really must look into purchasing some soon, as well as some new masks. Hope you have recovered from Ally Pally and I am looking forward to seeing you on TV again. Thanks for the heads up about Julia, the on-screen TV guide didn't tell me that she was on tonight.
Rebecca - yes, 4 paws is a generic term used for both cats & dogs (and some other smaller pets) so go ahead and use it anytime :-)
I don't usually have funny stories to tell but when I was at the vet's this morning we decided that my elderly cat would benefit from a Furnicator and it reminded me of the time a year or so ago when a friend's French partner went to the vet for a Furnicator for their dog. Say it to yourself in a French accent and you can see why the girls creased up with laughter and disbelief :D
Frances
Good morning. Beautiful cards Sue...I have not tried that masking technique yet but it's definitely on my "to do" list. Thank you once again for the great video. Beth, thanks for the great story this morning! Cheryl, loved your saying defining Karma! Have a beautiful day everyone!
Love the card Sue. I will definitely have to try using texture paste at some point. It will have to go on my "to do" list as I am not allowed to make a mess at the moment with the house being on the market. I hope somebody buys it soon as I am itching to do something creative and getting messy
Lisbeth
Can't keep up with you Sue, these brilliant ideas come thick and fast. this is just so beautiful...must get the texture paste out and give it a go....thanks for sharing...luv Ursula xx
Superb demo today. Just what I needed today. I love getting two cards from one die cut.
x Annie P
Beautiful cards...I haven't found your glimmer pastes state-side yet, but I'm still looking....I think the red is really beautiful. Love that many of your dies are left and right facings....wish every die set was set up this way.
I use my left over card that I've die cut from as mats...nobody ever sees the center once you've covered it and it sure extends your cardstocks.
Great video...thanks so much. Jan D., Florida, USA
All the cards you have done in this video are gorgeous.
Wow this is so elegant and totally gorgeous, I love the wavy background with the texture paste.
It just makes the black look so pretty and I must say I really love the poinsettia with the bit of sparkle.

Hi Sue
Another stunner today. I love the flower and the embossing folder. I'll have to watch the video later as today seems to have disappeared on me. School this morning and visitors just after lunch.
Awesome cards. Thanks for the video. You make each card you demo look so easy to do. And you are quick. When I try to dulicate one of your cards, it takes me atleast a day to do so. Maybe when I get more efficent and experienced, I can work faster. I find your cards and layers are much more detailed than they appear. I am sure all this detail on your cards makes them the beauties they are! I love my results when I use your techniques. Please, keep up the good work for us Wilsonettes!
Very pretty! Love the poinsettia!
Love this card it is right up my street. Simple in appearance, classic colour combo and with the stunning poinsettia. Just fab....

Well done Sue
Gorgeous. Stunning background and poinsettia.
Hi Sue,
Now I want you to sit down and take a deep breath because I am going to tell you something that is really shocking! Ready? Here goes - I actually prefer the black one!!! I bet you never thought you'd hear me say that lol! I don't think I would send it though with it bring black - not a colour I associate with Christmas. Love the background and the poinsettia is gorgeous.
Beth, loved your tale about the dogs and the " worm"! Pleased she got what she deserved.
Steph, hope you're feeling better.
Hope everyone has had a good day, love to you all, Alison xxxx

Wow, three lovely cards. I think the black one is my favourite, even though it's not traditional. It just looks so striking!
Well, had a good day today, celebrating my mum's 85th birthday. I had managed to organise a surprise lunch for her with 10 of our friends, which she thoroughly enjoyed. It was the first time we'd been out for ages, with me being ill, so thankfully we were able to do it when it counted.
Counting my blessings tonight and sending hugs and good wishes to you all,
Susi in Cyprus

I've just used this background - the black on black is stunning. Thank you for the (older) demo showing "how-to". Gorgeous card ... love what you did with the poinsettia background.
Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!
I had the pleasure of watching this demo a few days ago and was really impressed with the variations of a theme. I must admit to throwing away my negatives...sacrilege I know!...and I was immediately guilt ridden at the thought that I could so easily have been creating another card with the wastage. I love the black version, I am very partial to black in a Christmas card, particularly accompanying red, and I find this version very striking and bold. The white one gives an altogether different feel, very calm, serene and clean, so it would be impossible for me to pick a favourite, they both suit a different mood. The poinsettias are fantastic, I will need to try this technique as an alternative to stamp and embossing.
When will I be brave enough to mess up myself and my craftroom by using the texture paste finally? Janet, are you a clean freak like me and afraid to create chaos with anything gungey? We should both man up, particularly since it's an essential for those Christmas themed cards. I am too anal about mess and clutter, cleaning up as I go along so it takes twice as long to create anything:-( I even have a cordless handheld Dyson on standby in my craftroom!
Achieved the near impossible and started my uncles birthday cards today, decided to make one very mimimalist ie without ribbon, flowers or glitter, but it was so HARD....I'm not entirely happy with the results so far but my Mum assures me that it's lovely so I will persevere. The same can't be said for the other one though, it's got everything but the proverbial kitchen sink thrown in and Brodie's looking lovely and sparkly as a result:-) I'm so sad, I even took a photo of him lying with his paws on the card and ribbon with glitter sparkling on his fur, very metro sexual don't you think?
Speaking of our furry four paws, Frances, what on earth is a furnicator? I'm still giggling about the Frenchmans pronunciation though:-)
Steph, Susi and Windy Bad, hope you've all had a better day today, healing hugs all roundxxxx
Rebecca, I am sooo jealous of your sunshine and high temps cos Autumn/Fall has definitely arrived in Stirling. From tomorrow the days officially get darker and before long it will be dark again at 4pm, really wish I could win the lottery....a good start would be to actually put a line on first...then I would buy a holiday home in the sun. I was watching A Place in the Summer Sun where they were looking at properties in Spain for crazy prices, we can but dream. I'm in danger of sounding really stupid but Do you get snow in Colorado?
Dearest Beth, what a hoot you are! Loved your story, it was well worth the wait, you are indeed the dog whisperer extraordinaire! Your story was particularly vivid, I could picture it in my minds eye and I was cheering you and the three Muskahounds on. How can people be so cruel to animals, but Karma really bit that worm on the bum and good riddance. An innocent 7 yr old though, who are you trying to kid young lady? Those were the actions of someone well used to calculated subterfuge, you should be proud of your lightening quick responses...a career in the special forces specialising in the canine regiment would have been a logical progression for you, primary education was a rather worrying choice:-)
Missing Yvonne's bare faced cheek and little Molly's adorable stories, come back to us soon girls, we miss youxxx
Love and crafty hugs,

Such a lovely card and I love it that you did it in both white and black so we could see the effect. I also love that you can get virtually a free card from where you cut the poinsettias!
