  14. Morning Sue. WOW This is a fantastic christmas card. I watched this video awhile ago and you explained everything so beautifully that i watched it again and made the card along with you and if i say so myself it turned out amazing. So i made another three and made boxes for them with the poinsettia's and holly spray as decoration's on the front of the boxes and these special card's will be for my sister's this christmas. I hope you don't mind me copying your card as it's my favourite this year. But then again you never know until i switch my tablet on in the morning's LOL.
Watched john's show's yesterday and he did really well, it was a bit manic at time's but at the end of the day it's a new channel and they will get there little problem's ironed out over the course of time, but well done everyone. Can't wait to see yourself and the rest of the team on next month. Congratulation's to Rach on winning your beautiful card.
    Have a lovely weekend Sue.
    Take care everyone.
    Best Wishes.

  15. So pleased to see this video, Sue - thank you - as this was the launch card that made me buy the trees set. Love it all, fabulous, sometimes like cards that show a scene rather than an arrangement, if you get my drift! lol, snow drift haha.
On a personal note, you do look great in that top, never known anyone who can wear such vibrant colours and always look stunning. Me - envious??
Well done to Rach83 on the card win.

    Morning Sue
Monochrome is always elegant and so classic and always a winner in my book.
Your snow scene today looks so very calm as well as so beautiful to look at. Clean snow always beautiful and pure and calms everything around you.

Thank you for starting my day with peacefulness. It's probably the only bit of the day which is going to be in that state as it's packing day but first I have a last minute WA card to make.

Have a good Bank Holiday everyone. To all in pain and suffering today I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.
Congratulations to this week's give away winner.

  25. Hi Sue. This is a real stunner. I love everything about it and agree with you about it looking like it ha taken ages to make but actually being quite quick : )
Congratulations to Each 83, enjoy your beautiful card.
Melody, we all know that Molly is able to talk to any of you and that you take great care of her. Some of us mentioned her talking to MacMillan etc. not because we think for a moment that she can't talk to you but just as a way of trying to give her and you all some help when we can't do anything else. The same advice would be, and has been, given to any Wilsonettes, no matter their age. Your family bonds are clearly very strong and the last thing we want to do is to cause any misunderstandings. I hope this makes sense. My thoughts are with you all at this very hard time.
I hope you and your Mom are having a lovely time Sue. Have a great weekend and hugs to everyone. Take care xx

  26. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, monochrome is always a winner with me and this card is no exception, as you say it looks like it took ages to make (well it probably would me haha!!) but I will watch the video later, I see the noble dies are used.

Congrats to Rach 38 for winning the card, you will enjoy it.

Have a great Saturday whatever you are doing, stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

This card is lovely, not necessary one I would make, but know my Grandchildren would love to make with me. It has the magic of Christmas.
Thanks to for the kind notes yesterday.
IMust have missed Melody & Molly's message, from what I read they have suffered a recent loss. It's good you can both talk together.
Macmillan are wonderful, dedicated people work there, they are always there for support and not one penny comes from the government to Macmillan it's all run by voluntary fundraising..
Hope everyone has a good weekend, think positive my day yesterday ended positive, my newest Granddaughter arrived home with her mummy and Daddy from her first holiday in Cyprus. I tracked their flight like a stalker lol. Never like when my children or grandchildren are travelling.
I am looking forward to some cuddles this weekend it's been a long 2 weeks and is only 8 weeks old and has changed so much in the last 2 can't wait to see her smile now.
Also I'm off to my card craft club today with my Sister, we are doing a card using the noble squares dies.

  68. Hi Sue,

Just adore this winter wonderland scene and this card could have been made for me...we have a small herd of deer living in the fields surrounding my house and a mother and baby have been using an overgrown strip of land bordering the garden as a sanctuary - I saw them again this morning just as I was making my first cup of coffee...lovely sight...and then switched on the computer to see your offering for today and there they were agin in silhouette...lol

Love the bright lime/yellow top you are wearing in the video...

  74. Beautiful, peaceful card (would be peaceful even if the word wasn't on the card). "All is calm, all is bright" immediately comes to mind. As you say Sue, the dies do all the work (Although the harder work is in coming up with the ideas, thankfully we have you for that :) . It reminds me very much of my Christmas card of last year, but that was bsw (before Sue Wilson) for me - and my dies helped a wee bit- but I did a lot of work! In fact they were supposed to be 2013's card, but they were so labor intensive I didn't get them done until the next Christmas! This card would have been equally impactful with much less work. I've ordered the Noble dies used in this card, they are so pretty and versatile I can't wait to get them!
I hope everyone has a safe & enjoyable weekend. Congrats to Wednesday's card give away winner! Rebecca in Colorado

  99. Hello again, I just got caught up on posts from last couple of days and wanted to add a few more comments...yes this blog is definitely addictive! I'm still working on sending Colorado sunshine your way (all these warm wishes might be causing my brain to overheat! Oh wait, that's just the heat from my IPhone where it landed when I fell asleep mid-post)!
Speaking of sleeping (or lack-there-of) thank you Frances (fluffycat) on the info about John's blog. I popped over for a quick look and I foresee even later nights and more bleary-eyed days (but with a brain full of even more great ideas)!
Maria I like your idea of "nap & come back"! It's just that pesky requirement of going to work that interferes with the important things - like staying up all night reading blogs, or napping, or crafting! Alas, I also like having shelter, food, transportation and the all- important crafting supplies- so I guess I have to keep doing the work thing :)
Here, here to Hannah & Lauren for telling Mr B (in the only way they knew how) that his comment was entirely unacceptable! Talk about a "time out"! I say "you go girls"! They (& your telling of it) had me giggling out loud Beth ;)
Laine, your posts often make me laugh as well. Let me know if your methods ever actually work in landing you as the lucky recipient of a card give-away! Maybe I'll just offer to paint my craft room in colors to coordinate with a card I desperately want (do you think that will work?).
Theresa are "wellies" rain boots? Sounds like if you had purchased them in advance for the children, you could have guaranteed some sunshine. It's often the opposite here...when we want/need it to rain, we wash our cars (hey it works sometimes).
Lancashire Steph - the frustration level must be up there when your body doesn't cooperate with what you want to do! I'm mentally bathing your craft room & your fingers with warmth & light in hopes the good wishes will reach you.
One of you smart followers of the blog mentioned typing your response in another app or software & then cutting and pasting into the blog. I'm trying that now-eager to see if it works because the interface between blogspot and my iPhone is lacking (to put it kindly). Fingers crossed!
Happy weekend to all! Hey what is "Banking Holiday"?

  139. Good Evening Sue and the fabulous Wilsonettes,

What a fantastic card to demo Sue, it was one of my favourites from your first launch. The sugared pine trees are lucious and the layered sentiment really catches the eye. It is so reminiscent of a beautiful snow scene and really evokes a warm Christmasy glow inside.
Can I also point out that you look as beautiful as your card too, I love your top and that colour really suits youxxxx
I'm a little late today- I've been having a spate of seizures this week and I find it difficult to concentrate afterwards. I think that I might have got myself a tad over excited by the launch of a new craft channel and Johns appearances...so goodness knows what I'll be like when Sue appears on the 12th:-)
I've had a quiet day finishing off a boxed card for a friends birthday tomorrow- I embellished the box nearly as much as the card inside so I just hope that it isn't overkill! I also watched the World Athletics and little Mo Farah winning gold again-I'm faintly surprised that the neighbours didn't contact the police for fear that a mad axe man was on the loose when they heard my mum and me screaming insanely as he approached the winning line! As I pointed out, I do tend to get over excited.....
Deb C, how nice to have you back, I've missed you loads! Hope you enjoyed your break in Portugal-I bet you are bronzed and beautiful, a stark comparison to my pasty extremities....one of the drawbacks of living in a sodden Scotland I guess!xxxx
Chris Curry, happy birthday! I hope you got loads of Sue goodies to play with....and plenty of cake of course!xxxx
Yvonne, hope you are getting stronger day by day because it can be so draining and frustrating feeling under the weather....big hugsxxxx
Melody, I do hope that you weren't offended by our concern for Molly- I can see that she has a strong family network around her and that will get her through this difficult time for you allxxxx
Molly, enjoy your break away, I hope that the weather is good and that you have loads of fun with your little sistersxxxx
Rebecca, it has been a pleasure to welcome you to Sues blog- you are right it is so addictive and the ladies are a wonderful, humourous and kind so you will fit in perfectly. You must be so excited to have placed an order through Joanna Sheens website, so much so that you too will find yourself stalking the delivery man until it's arrival....friendly advice though, just don't rugby tackle him in your enthusiasm, it can be rather awkward if he slaps a restraining order on you as a result:-)
Well, off to catch up with my X Factor fix- you know that Christmas is just around the corner when you spot Simon and his high waisted trousers againxxxx

    Love and crafty hugs,

    Laine1972xxxxxx

PS. Sincere congrats to Rach 83 for winning Sues lovely card....better luck next week everyonexxxx

  141. Hi Sue
I thoroughly enjoyed watching you build up this lovely winter wonderland scene. Your sugared trees are so pretty and I liked the effect you got from making your deer more of a sihouette, very clever. Your cardigan is gorgeous and you look fab lady. ( Hope you don't mind me saying). l was very impressed with the camerawork, excellent close up shots, so whoever does the filming please tell them well done.

Chris hope you are having a lovely day, Happy Birthday.
Deb nice to see you back, hope you tried the chicken pirri pirri.
Lorraine, you are always so upbeat despite your health issues, hope things health wise settle down for you soon.
Molly, enjoy your holiday we are all thinking of you, your nan and your granddad.
Rach 83 congratulation you lucky lady.

Lain not at all was I offended I just wanted to let you know Molly is dealing with everything very well I have had cancer for so long now she as grown up with it so he takes most of it in her stride, she gets a little upset when sees or even thinks I am upset over my husband an what he is going through. Molly just likes to talk to you all and she reads every comment left an is so over the moon to be a part of sues blog. I just didn't want you to think she is sad 24/7 she is a very happy go lucky little girl with a big heart. Take Care Melody xXx

  150. A lovely Christmas card with the mother and baby deer in Sue's forest of frosted trees! Thanks for the video showing us how you frost those trees. I adore this set of evergreen tree dies. I hope to be able to find this set in the US before too much longer. I also appreciate how you backed the filigree deer to make them solid with texture. Being able to do this gives one more fexibility in your die set. I use alot of deer in the cards for the men in my life, and these sets will be useful in my card making.
