Classic Poinsettia Open Petal die set

Hello and welcome back!  It has been so much fun showing off all my newest die designs!  I truly hope that you have enjoyed seeing them as well.  Do you have any favourites yet?  This post is showcasing the new Classic Poinsettia Open Petal die set.  It has been designed to match the Classic Poinsettia which was released last year and has been brought back into stock with this year's releases.  It not only adds a beautiful detail to the top of the flower, but looks amazing when used by itself for a more filigree look.  I know that you will enjoy adding it to all your seasonal cards!  Leave me a comment, don't forget!  We will be kicking off again at 6am Sunday morning with a day packed full with six blog posts!  I hope you can be there for them all!  All for now, Sue x

  14. GE Sue. 6 on a Sunday wow!! Think the snowflake dies are doing it for me at the moment. But I reserve the right to change my mind after I've seen more of the others. Seeing what you can do with them here on your blog is so much better than just seeing the product itself I find and I am sure many other Wilsonettes would agree......

The sample card showing these off is classic once again and shows that your dies are definitely a 'must have'. Just love them all and wish the bank balance could stretch to them all. I know I said I had a favoutite but the difference between them is slimmer than a gnat's whisker as they are all so beautiful, I would be happy to own any of them. Even better to own them all lol.
Can anyone advise, I leave comments through google which is all new to me but I seem to struggle to get anything to publish from my tablet (blackberry playbook) or phone. I get gmail fine on my phone but haven't been able to leave a comment when out and about as I have to be at a PC. Any ideas?

  136. Hii Sue

Love these, they give the matching dies a real wow factor (along with your stamps). I don't have other dies to match this set so they'd have to wait till istacked up on all the snowflake related stuff. Favourite so far? OMG Sue, could you have asked a harder question? Ok, by a very very very tiny margin, probably the border/ corner set though in 10 minutes I'd have probably changed my mind!

Had a good day, learned lots, confirmed a lot of what I'd already taught myself so I was pleased, brought some luscious fabric for a top I'm going to make. Mr W took me in town after and I brought a pair of 'summer' trainers and got the fish for the dog. We had coffee and cake- a treat for Mr W for taking me to the class this morning. We've just had tea and I'm planning a snooze so I'm awake for the England Ladies world cup game at 00:30! It'll be an extra special weekend seeing my old friend and meeting her hubby (and them meeting Mr W) tomorrow morning. We're even getting out the un chipped mugs out of the cupboard for them!!! It's been a long year so far but come tomorrow night this weekend would have been a real bright spot and right now I feel like a very lucky girl! Good sewing, good weather, good cake, good friends and a die launch. Does it get any better than that?!

Wishing Sue and Wilsonettes everywhere a very happy weekend. Sending hugs and smiles to everyone, with extra for those in pain, ill, in treatment or recovery, or having a difficult time. Happy crafting to you all,

    T x

  169. Hi Sue and Wilsonettes

Have I got a favourite?...apart from all your dies being really spectacular and so far on my favourite list...I would say that so far top of that list is the Poinsettia and Striplet and 2nd down the Snowflakes and Striplet...but no doubt tomorrow or Monday's cutting dies and card designs will possibly shift them to another position so I await in anticipation...in other words they are all and no doubt will be gorgeous Sue. So needless to say I have really enjoyed checking back to reveal the next magnificent gem...

You have worked so hard for us Sue and I thoroughly agree with your faithful followers in that you are having yourself some Sue time...

Back to this card Sue...oooooh!!! there is that gorgeous embossing folder again...I must keep on looking for it but no joy as yet...the colour is unusual for a Christmas card but it caught my eye immediately...didn't need to grow on me as I loved it straight away...the flag die, striplet, poinsettia you name it they work together really well and make the card look tremendous...

Thank you sincerely Sue for sharing these amazing cards with us as they certainly show us how a die can be used effectively and as mentioned before they help to visualise the potential out of the packet.

Take care Sue and please don't forget to have yourself some Sue time...to you and all lovely Wilsonettes (((((hugs)))))and smiles to you always...love Beth B x x x

  173. Good evening Sue,

You have definitely saved the best card till last today Sue, I love how you have subtlety incorporated the snowflake striplet into the background with a touch of bling for good measure. The embossing folders are fab too, but the main event ie the open petal poinsettia is an absolute must have( I fear that I am beginning to sound like a broken record now!). I thought that after getting last years pairing I wouldn't need another...Ha!...Think again sucker! Please do not ask the impossible of us Sue, it is a complete impossiblity to choose just one design from so many gems, I need them all and I don't care if it sends my family apoplectic with indignation as they remind me of the numerous folders I already own....what do they know!
Tres, my bank manager heartily agrees with your hubby, but in the scheme of things it is an expense that not only brings us the joy of receiving and playing with it, but our loved ones the joy of receiving a card that is our nod to the great lady herself...it's win win in my book!
Roll on tomorrow for more indulgence and delights.
    Sleep tight everyonexxxx

  181. Hi Sue. I've almost caught up with today's wonderful new dies and cards. Love how you've used the poinsettia striplet as a border on this card and the new open petals are fab. I had to go back and check I'd read correctly - 6 posts tomorrow - you're really spoiling us, but making it more difficult to choose which dies to add to the collection. Sue C. XXX
