  1. Another beautiful card Sue, so lovely.
Thank you for all my birthday wishes, yes it really was my birthday Julie, I've had a lifetime of April Fool jokes about that lol.
The best news ever, Robbie is walking unaided. He is very slow and one of his legs is still dragging a bit, but he did it at rehab and his Mum videoed it. I cannot believe the progress that he has made in the nine months since his accident. He goes to rehab 5 days per week and his determination to get back to as near normal as possible is amazing. Go Robbie yea .
Hugs to all including Sheila and Nikki

  70. Good Morning Sue & friends,
Such opulence on a Thursday morning, wow, It looks like the decorative elements inside a cathedral, so rich and ornate! I bet you had not one bit of mess when you had finished with your gilding flakes, unlike me that would have been covered in them! I think he black helps to tone down the glitz of the gilding flakes! I hope you are fully recovered now Sue, love and hugs Sandra xxxx
Pam, happy birthday for yesterday my lovely, what getter gift than to receive a video of Robbie walking, the day that everyone has been hoping and praying for, bless him he must have been both exhausted and elated ! Sending huge hugs!
Sheila & Nikki, my thoughts are with you both, I think that things like bank holidays etc are all like landmarks to get through when you have lost someone so close, that's how we were with dad , getting past every 'first' was tricky, but it does get easier my lovely, I promise x
Little lamb Brenda, I am happy that you are back being mobile, go steady though, don't get too carried away! Sending hugs your way xxxxx
Well I must go and put all the crafty stash back in the craft room, as I have to bring it all out to the dining table to craft with my friends! Luckily Paul is here to do the Donkey work,

  77. Hi Sue,

What a lovely card. Must say I am not keen on the black, a colour I don't use very often, when it is teamed with gold, its not so much doom and gloom colour. I will have a go at this card with the gold leaf, but will change the black to another colour.

Thanks for giving us the idea in the first place.

Have a nice day everyone. Lovely to see the sunshine, but it is still chilly in the shade.

    Morning Sue
What a wonderful way to start your new set of videos.
I have really fallen in lave with your Caribbean Dies. They cut so well are look so so expensive. All credit to you Sue. Thank you for always making sure that your dies are affordable to all and always do their job successfully.
It's therefore takes no guessing to know that today's gift is just gorgeous in every way possible.
I hope that you're feeling better day by day. The latest bug has really taken hold and is so overwhelming.

Pam - Sorry I missed your birthday but oh what a fantastic present you had; Robbie walking unaided. Absolutely fantastic. It doesn't matter how slow he is the most important thing is he's on his own two feet. What an achievement!!!! I already know you know you have a fantastic nephew but He certainly has the most wonderful determination. Go Robbie Go.

We are having a very rainy and cold day here in Marigny but at least the high winds have now dropped. I had a message from my eldest daughter Christina yesterday saying that they are in the middle of lambing and it was throwing everything at them hail rain snow and high winds. Who would think we are supposed to be into Spring?

To all in pain and suffering I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

  83. Good afternoon Sue and the fabulous wilsonettes,
Sorry Sue too dark and dramatic for me today but it does have a very Art Deco look to it with the gold gilding flakes and the spiky frame as a backdrop around the sentiment very angular lines so it probably is done in the colours to suit otherwise i have been watching far to much Hercule Poriot.
Pam that is fantastic news of Robbies achievement, i am so pleased for him getting back up there again, to be able to live his life again and for your dear brother, wife and family it must be such an overpowering feeling seeing his utter determination and give them such pride that their son isn't just lying back thinking of poor him, he is wanting to be running around with the rest of his friends and soon he shall. WELL DONE ROBBIE. Sending hugs in all your families direction flower. I bet yesterday was the best present that you could have got with that news as you have been waiting so long with hope so i am glad you had what turned out to be a fantastic April the first for you.
Little Lamb(Brenda) take it easy flower now that you are back mobile again as you wouldn't believe just how much it can take out of you just driving but i am so please for you that you are back on your feet again, although i think you might be missed by a certain little person now that you have gone home to your own house.
Well a bit cold up here at my beloved hills today but the sun is out in the sky making it look lovely and warm but you know what they say about looks being deceiving, well today is one of those deceiving sort of a days. I am still knitting the blue shawl but only another 24 rows of 400?odd stitches to go and then i start the border so i am going back to get another few rows knitted, closer to the magic border. Sending hugs to all my Wilsonette Angels both on blog and not at the moment, wishing you all a lovely Easter, remember to roll your eggs even if it is just down the stairs like Rory does,
    Love and crafty hugs,
    Norah (Glenochil)

  84. Afternoon Sue... Uh ohhh - guilding flakes AND ebony Ice = a whole pile of mess in my den, the Ebony Ice is in cahoots with the flakes in my crafting world (neither like me) lol - cover up ladies, you wouldnt want to even start and imagin where those sticky little black devils can stick themselves to !!!
Black and gold go together like silver and dark blue and brown and blush... Next one please......
What a stunning card and those colour's in your top also went with the guilding flakes too : ) I also meant to mention how pretty your pink necklace was on Tuesday.

Pam my love, what a fantastic birthday gift for you, 9 months we've all been hoping and praying this day would come, what a guy.
I want to send all my love to our missing Wilsonettes that are not too well at the moment - TOB, Sam, Alison, and our other friends we miss so much. My comfort blanket is holding many hugs for those in need, help yourselves xxx

Wishing you a healthier day Sue, with much love.

You're right what you said in your video, anyone would like to receive a card that you have made today. I am going to try the gilding flakes with double sided adhesive, the effect is stunning. I never even thought about embossing it once gilded. The dies you used are so effective and you don't needs lots of embellishments on cards like these. Thanks for sharing. Have a nice Easter.

Such an elegant card. I tried the taped edge using the applied glitter technique to one of my Easter cards. So easy with such an elegant look. It was also cost effective instead of using a full sheet of glitter cardstock. I now have the gilding flakes, so I must try them too. Take care.
