You're Delightful

Good morning all!  Today's card was one of my demos from the last shows.  I thought you might enjoy a close up view of it.  I started with the background and embossed a piece of coconut white card with the Tartan Trellis embossing folder for texture.  Using a piece of Amethyst satin ribbon, I taped the end to the back of the top centre of the card and let it trail down the middle of the card.  Next I stamped Lilac card with the Delicate Deco Square using a Black Archival ink pad.  I did two of these.  On the first one, I used the Herald Square to cut it into a frame (lg die and smaller square die were used.  On the second one, I covered it with a piece of sticky adhesive sheet, peeled the backing paper off and coated it with Diamond Snow glitter. I cut it out with the same set of dies as the first one.   I used my guillotine to remove the edge with the piercing holes all the way around.  Using Dusty Concord distress ink, I inked the exposed edge through the glitter with a piece of cut 'n dry foam.  I added mounting foam to the back of this piece and placed it on top of the other square frame so it had the pierced border showing from underneath.  The reason that I stamped the first one, even though I was covering it, was that it allowed me to line up the centres evenly.  If I had just guessed at where the centre of the square was, it may have been very off from where it actually was using the stamp as my guide.  I adhered the frame in the centre of my card over the ribbon.  Next I stamped my sentiment (from the Delightful Sentiment clear stamp set by Cr. Exp.) and covered it with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I coated it with Diamond Snow for a bit of bling.  I cut the inside frame from the Union Square and mounted it over the sentiment and trimmed away the excess card from below.  I added mounting foam and attached it in the centre of my frame.  I tied a double bow from the Amethyst satin ribbon and added it at the top of my card with glue dots and placed a white crystal sparkler in the centre.   The card was then finished with a pierced coconut white card mat, a thin Lilac card mat and a final white card.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  7 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x
